So I use to smoke, and I quit a year and a half ago. Well the past month or two more often than not I smoke in my dreams. It's bizarre and I feel guilty in my dreams but I say that I don't really smoke. It's crazy because during the day I don't crave at all (I took chantix, made me despise them) atleast while I'm awake. It's odd I feel guilty in my dreams. Any ex smokers relate? Or am I crazy
OK, I've never been a smoker (never even tried a cigarette), but a few years ago I started having a series of dreams where I was craving cigarettes and smoking. Happened several times over a month and then never again. Weirdest thing. I still don't know what it means. While awake I've never had the desire to smoke. Any good dream interpreters out there?
At least you aren't craving while awake, and don't let dream guilt get to you during the day!
How funny/strange to dream about smoking, especially if you never smoked. I am an ex-smoker and have been since 1994. I have never dreamed about smoking, and even after all these years I still like the smell of a freshly lit cig. I am never tempted to smoke these days, even if I do like the smell.
I quit smoking four months ago and recently had a smoking dream. I was so disappointed with myself when I woke up! It took me a minute to realize it was a dream.

I quit smoking a year and a half ago, and I still have smoking dreams sometimes and every time it feels so real and I feel so bad! It does take a while to realize it was just a dream. I don't crave it either so not sure why once in a while I dream about it..it is normal though, lots of ex smokers have smoking dreams.
I'm an ex-smoker too (approximately 5 years smoke-free, with one 3 month relapse), and I've had weird smoking dreams before as well. I would say that 95% of the time I have no desire to light up, but every now and then a cigarette just sounds so good. I do miss going out for a cigarette break or coffee and cigarettes with my friends. I think it is possible for cravings (however slight) to manifest in our dreams.
When I quit smoking,I would have dreams of smoking all the time...and then feel guilty upon waking.I can't remember the last time I dreamt of smoking though, and it's been 12 years since my last cigarette.
