Just saw that Leslie has a 3rd new dvd coming out Oct 1.
Wow, there are so many DVDs! I was just browsing Amazon and it is overwhelming how many there are. I ordered 2 so I will have 4 soon and then I will start mixing them up.
Today I did the 3 Mega Miles.
Tomorrow first day back for teachers. Somehow, I am going to get up real early and walk!
Well, it was NOT job related, but I was at work. Walking up the stairs to get a glass of water, I tripped on the top step. Jammed my big toe into the step and fractured a bone just below the big toe where the big toe ends and the foot begins. It has been very painful.
I need to get some weights before I do the upper body exercises. All I have are one and two pound hand weights. I'll check in and stay in touch until I can get back to the walking.
Oh no! Sorry about your foot! That's terrible. I am sure getting around is painful. I was down with back pain in May for about 7 days and I really packed it on -- I got on a candy kick. Not a good idea when one is laying around! Since you are used to exercising you will be able to figure out what you need to do.
Good luck and tell us what weights you do! Just consider it an "upper body improvement plan".

I have several of Leslise's tapes (sitting collecting dust for the past two years!)
How do I get started, I know it should be slow. I sit all day at work and do some stuff around the house and outside, but way our of shape.
Any suggestions? I would like to tone and lose, but really build up some endurance.
thanks, time to get back at something. I want to be aware of what I eat, but get exersise to be part of my life.
I just started with the Leslie DVDs in July so the others will have better advice than I do. I would say to just pop one in and start with the easiest one you have. Even if you just do one mile at first you will jump up quickly. Believe me I have not exercised in years other than walking dogs a little. And I am loving it. I find her so motivating!
Also I bought myself two exercise outfits at target. They are bright colors and make me feel a little better than putting on my tshirts that are too tight and shorts that don't fit. I know it sounds silly when it's just me at home alone but I have fun with it!

Chickadeee I started Leslie Sansone videos around march/april doing just 1 mile at a time, switching it up from different videos. Gradually worked my way up to 2, 3, 4 at a time, etc.
& like Sharon said, you should get some exercise outfits too, I did the same thing when I started working out at home so I don't feel all frumpy, we can still have fun and look cute too
oh annie- i am soooooo very sorry about your foot!!!! i can understand how upset you are not being to do your "Leslie walks"! but knowing you - you will find a way to exercise until you can get back on those feet! praying for you! hugs!
I did 2 miles on friday, 2 miles on sunday, saturday I cleaned house for 6 hours and did my hand weight exercises on those days.
this morning I did 2 miles. I used the Walk Slim 5 Really Big Miles and did the 1st and 3rd miles. tonight I'll do hand weights.
I should be getting her new dvd sometime tomorrow. it's called Walk if Off in 30 days and I ordered it from amazon after Annie gave us the link a little while back. I'm always excited to get something new.
WOOT, WOOT, WOOT!!! HOLLA, HOLLA, HOLLA!!! Just got back from a foot specialist, and although I do have a broken bone in my foot, I can come off of the crutches and out of the splint!!! Have one of those ugly shoes, but he says I can exercise when I feel like it, that it might even be good for it!! I am THRILLED!!! Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts!!
Will prob be a week or so before I give it a go as it still is VERY sore when I walk on it, but when it isn't....I'll be walking!!
