Question Shoes???????

HIYA ALL!

i have done turbo jam in the past, and am in the bidding on ebay right now for CLX and thinking about TurboFire. Just wondering what shoes you all are using. I have hip and some knee pain (i'm in surgical menopause and hypothyroid so i'm not sure what it is from, ARTHRITIS???) SO i am a little nervous about all this jumping around. i know chalene loves shox, but it seems to me that in TJ and TF much of the IMPACT is on the ball of the foot, NOT the heel. Are there any shoes that absorb impact on the entire surface of the foot? Or are any of you experiencing any problems like this?

Thanks so much and happy BURN!

Erica

I just got Turbo Fire today as a gift from my parents and I am so excited. I tried out Fire 30/Stretch 10 as per the schedule in the box and found them familiar and easy to follow. My gym used to have Turbo Kick and they took it off the schedule around the time Turbo Fire came out. I have been missing it a ton and this seems like it incorporates a lot of the same movements. I like the intensity, can't wait to try out HIIT 15 tomorrow.

Ann21 - I like the idea of an accountability thread. I have to figure out how to modify the schedule a bit to fit in my gym workouts too.

Erica - Sorry, no answers for you about the shoes. I hope someone can help you out.

I ordered Turbo Fire last night. Turbo Jam is awesome!! I'm not on the level I need to be yet, but I will be doing Turbo Fire ever so often to test my endurance, and keep a challenge going for me. Chalean is awesome!

I'm new here . . decided to start exercising yet again!
I have been counting calories for almost a year now and easily dropped some weight but now I would like to tone up.
Quick question for anyone that has Turbo Fire . . is it worth it?
I started turbo jam this week again after seeing turbo fire on tv, kind of got me amped up. I really want turbofire but I have so many dvd's that collect dust so before I spend figure I would get opinion on it.

How have the results been from it? Appreciate the help . .

Thanks
Chelle

mich5lynn Hi! I am on my second rotation of TF. I started it in July, 2010. I really enjoy doing the workouts. In my opinion, TF is mostly a cardio program. There are toning/sculpting workouts, but the main focus is cardio. I have seen results while doing the program, but I am actively trying to lose weight.

Based on what you are wanting for a routine, it sounds like it would be a good fit. I thought you were looking for a heavy lifting program. The moves are similar to TJ. She has also included a "New To Class" option before each workout. She goes over all the moves for that workout. You can pick "New To Class Option" or if you know the workouts just choose to workout. You do not have to do that option. I didn't have to use that option. I picked it up quickly. You can probably just follow the prescribed rotation as it is and get great results. Here are the strength/toning workouts:

Sculpt
Tone
Abs
Core
Upper Body
Lower Body

There's plenty of options for you to work on your muscles! You can up the intensity with these by the weight you use.

There are 5 Cardio workouts and 4 HIIT workouts.

Ashley I see you got turbofire and you close to your goal weight, please let me know if it helps you lose that last amount . . I have 7 lbs until my goal weight and its the hardest for me to lose . . I can get to 108 and then I just get stuck there then fluctuate between 108 and 112 . . anyway thinkin bout getting turbo fire . . next month I will have $ for it so I will have 3 weeks to decide if its worth it.

Thanks
Michelle

So I started Turbo Fire today (Fire 30 and Stretch 10).... I have to say, that was hard! I'm not very coordinated and haven't been getting in any exercise at all in a long time, and when I do it is not consistent. Even though I kind of missed some moves, got a little confused, and definitely didn't work at the intensity all the girls in the video did, I was still moving the whole time, sweating, and I got a great workout. I tried to focus mainly on learning the moves, keep moving even if I lost my place, and not injuring myself. I did workout the hardest I could so that alone is an accomplishment for me.

I really didn't get discouraged even though I couldn't always keep up, and I had to pause twice through the workout to catch my breath. I still did the whole thing! I feel really good.

Just wanted to share in case anyone else may be thinking about trying this out and having doubts. In my opinion its still alot of fun even though I pretty much cant keep up with the moves yet.
