Thumbs up Happy New Year! :-) Feathers' Weigh-in Thread for January 2016

Can you believe it's 2016? So nice to start a fresh, new year. Congratulations to everyone for sticking with keeping track - that can be one key to success! But, as we've seen, it's also possible to take a break and derive benefits from that.

It all comes down to the scientific method - see what works and do that, making sure you are aiming for a healthy body weight for your height/age/etc.!

I miss you all when I don't get a chance to post, which will be happening a lot this month. Just know that I don't have a "smart" phone or I'd be driving you crazy every day!

Last time I made weight: 12/18/15 - 107.4
Next goal weight, for whenever: 107.9 (I aim to lose 1/10th of a pound a week, and I was 108 at my last unofficial weigh-in, 12/20/15.)

1/1/16: 113.4
1/2: 112.2
1/3: 110.6
1/4: 110.6 Forgot to weigh in until after I'd eaten three eggs. Just had to say that.

Happy New Year everyone!

December starting: 149.2; December finish: 144.2; total lost: 5 pounds.

January starting: 144.2; January goal: 139.8 (!!!!); total goal: 4.4 pounds.

I am super, super, super excited to reach the 130s. Each stall this month is going to be hard to get through. I'm not doing formal resolutions, but I would prefer not to be so negatively affected when I don't like my weight for the day. So I'm going to continue daily weighing and try to be serene about it. If I stick to a -500 deficit, I can 100% be at 139.8 by the end of the month, and that's not very long! I do have an upcoming trip for 3 days in January, but that's 3 days and I can eat at maintenance those days.

I've decided to try to cut down to 1400 cals regularly. I've been sticking to a deficit according to my Fitbit but am worried it's not accurate (stuck at 144.2 for five days). Lightly active TDEE calculations set me at 1900ish. I'm fairly certain I burn that much with walking, etc. So 1400 should have me losing 1 or more per week. I just want to see a 3! (Right now, a 143. something, but eventually, 139…)
