Default Body is in shock from running! How long 'til I lose the water weight?

While I feel amazing after running a mile the last 4 days.. (probably the first time I've ran a mile in a decade!!)

The scale is going up up & up!! I know it's just water weight but wondering how long I should expect the scale to stay up? I had a Halloween target and it's not looking like I'll make it if I don't lose the water weight!!

If you take a rest day or two, your muscles will flush out the extra water they pulled in as a result of your exercise. Drinking more water will actually help.

when i first started running, my body held onto its weight for a month and a half...seriously, not the slightest change EVER on the scale...i continued on, hoping i'd see a change...and then i took a short trip to the village, wasnt running for those few days, and came back and i'd lost 10 pounds in just 3 days...and the weight stayed off...i think somehow it just caught up to me then
