Default Exercise Mat?

I want to start 30DS and need something to put down on my laminate floors. Yoga mats seem so thin... any other suggestions?

I've found most mats to be slippery, so I've bought some yoga gloves to help combat that problem. You might find that helpful as well.

For me, I've bought some green mats off of Amazon that's a bit thicker than your standard yoga mats...

I think mine is something like this:

it's from Target, it has straps to keep it rolled up, and it's thicker than a regular yoga mat.

When I bought a new mat that was slippery, my yoga teacher said to throw it in the shower and rinse it off. It definitely helped!

Look for yoga mats that are 1/2" or more thick--those are nice and cushy

I've been using this exercise mat to do 30DS. I originally bought it to block my knitted shawls, but I haven't done much knitting lately. They work great as intended. They have nice support. Kinda thick and squishy. I do 30DS barefoot and I haven't had any trouble with my feet slipping. I've done yoga on them with not problem at all as well.

Walmart sells exercise mats that are thicker than yoga mats. When I am on my knees working out I just double it up for the extra protection.

When I did 30DS, I just used a blanket folded over several times.

Congratulations on starting, it's awesome. Be sure to take photos and measurements before you start.

I can't use yoga mats their too thin and it makes my knees hurt. Luckily I found that my toddler's playmat works great! It's thick and comfortable. Too bad I can't carry it to yog class but I do use it for floor work at home!
