I know this thread is really old, but thought I would add my experience anyway...Seroquel made me gain weight like crazy but it has also saved my life. I'm bipolar and I was experiencing severe manic rages; nothing else worked except Seroquel. I took 700 mg/day for 2 years and have just dropped down to 400 mg as I became super-drowsy all of a sudden - apparently this could be an indication that I am healthier and so need less medication.
