Your doctor didn't think changing life circumstances, coping mechanisms or TALKING about stuff would help ?

the nation is getting so over medicated, its awful. young people going to the doctors' when they're facing reallife problems that are of COURSE going to make them feel bad, and handed happy pills. (that don't even have much positive evidence for efficacy beyond a placebo effect, and often dreadful side effects.) Makes me so goddarn sad .

Sorry, just a rant from someone who has never let "them" medicate me when it was clear I needed "life help"...I spurned the lithium and anti-ds and I'm okay, why do doctors insult people like this? we CAN do without the chemicals! blimey.
