My goal this month will be 6lbs. Start weight- 171.1 Goal weight- Aug 1- 171.1 Tried Zumba for the first time last night. What a great workout and what a blast!!! Fun stuff! I don't know if I discussed this last month. My weight loss strategy involves counting calories on the my fitness pal app and I workout 4-5/week. I'm going to continue with the same plan for August. For all the newbies joining this month, I encourage you to really stay involved in this challenge by posting regularly. Can you still make your goal without posting? Sure can! Is it as much fun? No way! Knowing I was not only holding myself accountable but that I needed to report back to my challenge buddies made me make wiser choices. Also, the support was there if I had a day of eating poorly or the scale hated me. Good luck to everyone! Let's embrace this clean slate and fresh start. |

Good Morning All! I know some people begin this challenge with their starting weight as at Aug 1, while others use July 31. In my case this month, there's no difference since I'm the same today as yesterday.
SW (Jul 31): 157.25 Aug 1: 157.25 GW: 149.00 Lene has given good advice to the newbies. I too would encourage people to post regularly. Are you joining us this month, Positive? We need lots of positive attitude! Zumba? I've thought about doing that, perhaps in the fall/winter when I can no longer do too much outside (right now I do a lot of walking/biking outdoors). I weighed myself this morning for the first time in almost two months. A big sigh for being 5.5 pounds over my maintenance weight. But at least with last month's efforts to get my healthy habits back, I know how to tackle this. I'm going to aim to lose 3.5 of those pounds in August.

Good morning good morning! so my starting weight is officially 251.4 which I have been sitting at for a few days, hopefully that means I will see a drop tomorrow!
Zumba sounds like a great idea! I've tried it but I am so clumsy I always hurt myself so I gave up on it lol Today is a gym day, I was gonna go for an hour walk this morning but it was already 81 at 7am so I ended up not. I might go later and walk through the university buildings lol |
