PixiKat, so much fun! I found it through a co-worker of mine. I know there are groups all over the country, maybe just searching google to see if there's one in your area? At mine everyone is super nice and just having fun, which helps since I still struggle with keeping up with the game.

Start weight- 171.1
Goal weight- 165

Aug 1- 171.1
Aug 2- 171.2 (+.1) TOM
Aug 3- 172.8 (+.6)
Aug 4- 172.8 (.0)
Aug 5- 172.5 (-.3)
Aug 6- 171.9 (-.6)
Aug 7- 170.8 (-1.1)

Thankfully ending TOM so now I feel like I have a new beginning. My girlfriends and I are having a spa day at the end of the month when all the babes go back to school. I was just thinking how cool would it be to be down another 5lbs and firmly in the 160's?

Everyone looks like they are doing super!

Tuscany, you are going to look super for your trip next month! How exciting to have a daughter getting her PhD. You must be incredibly proud!

Turtle, another pound? You make this look too easy :)

Leah, "hey hottie, rock that body"<<< love it! I think things like that too when the scale is happy with me. If I'm bloated its more like "hey wannabe hottie, cover that body (preferably in sweatpants)". LOL

Pixikat, way to get that extra workout in! :carrot:
Have a great day everyone!

Jacqui_D 08-07-2013 02:56 PM

Yay! After 40 hours down, the hotel internet is back up and running! :running: How did we ever survive before the internet? Even here at the beach with all kinds of things to do, I missed it! But hey, I didn't misbehave even if I couldn't get to 3FC to report in, and I'm still holding at 201, which isn't bad during TOM! :spin:

Leah, CONGRATS!!! :yay: And great job on the weight loss too!

Tray, I'm glad you are learning more about your eating habits. That's definitely key to successful weight loss. Yay on the loss!

Sum, keep going! One dinner won't stick. You'll be back down in no time!

Joy, good for you! Keep it up! :cp:

Bg, congrats on the big loss!

Pixikat, I hope you get the job you want! :crossed: Way to go on the exercise and weight loss!

Tuscany, your body just needed a minute to catch up with all your losses, and now you're at it again! Wow!

Turtle, woohoo! Congrats on hitting the 160's! :woohoo:

Lene, yay on the drop! Keep that scale moving!

Bleu, way to go! Keep up the weight loss! As for your question, we all have days like that. Don't burn yourself out; however, working out takes discipline. If you just don't want to, but there's no physical reason why you shouldn't, do your best to pull yourself out of bed. It's work, no doubt, but it's important and it's worth it.

Wolfgirl, look at you go! Woohoo!

junebug, maintaining is not gaining! Good job!

Tomorrow I'm going shopping for new work clothes. I'm excited because I know I've lost weight but I still have that bit of anxiety that shopping always brings. Also I'm going out to eat with my mom afterwards. I know where we're going and I'm making plans for what I'll eat but I'm still a little nervous. Not so much about the calories (though I do have some concerns) but because I have a very wacky digestive system and I haven't been able to quite figure out what triggers some rather TMI-type issues. I don't want that the day before my first day of work!!! I know I can't do high fat since my gall bladder was removed a year ago but that's the only solid trigger I know. The other triggers are alluding me and since I don't have solid insurance right now I can't simply go get a food sensitivity testing. Right now it's just trial and error. I seem to do better with higher fiber and less meat (not a strong option tomorrow since we're going to a soup and breadsticks joint).

But I will survive and I will rock my hot body is some new work clothes. <--- Does anyone else find that statement to be an oxymoron: hot work clothes?

Morning ladies, dropped a little more this morning. I think the beginning of the month is really good for me :) I've been sleeping pretty badly lately. Last night I woke up so many times thinking bugs were crawling all over me  Anyone know if that has anything to do with weight loss?

Okay I didn't lose because I binged late last night. UGH. But whatever weight loss has it's ups and downs. It's not easy. :)

cincorn 08-08-2013 08:39 AM

Good grief, I GAINED 1.2 lb.s this morning and I have no explanation for it other than having a high sodium day. I ate chinese food, Kung Pao Tofu, for lunch. I actually had an appetite yesterday so I ate more than I have since being ill. I figured about 1400 calories rather than the 800 I've been eating. I think I'm retaining fluid too. Oh, well!

Tuscany 08-08-2013 09:09 AM

Well, it had to happen sooner or later...a small gain this morning. However, I've lost 2.75 lbs in 8 days, so I'm not complaining. In fact, I get a little worried when I lose too quickly...concerned that I might be losing muscle rather than fat, which is not something I want to do.

Turtle: You now seem to be firmly in the 160's…way to go! Must be that 30DS. As for bugs crawling all over…can't say I've ever heard of that!

Lene: You're now below your Aug start weight…yeah for the end of TOM! I am very proud of my baby (my 32-year-old baby). I also have a 31-year-old baby: my son. He's a personal trainer, and will soon begin his studies to be a paramedic. He's not MY PT (that would NOT work), although he has been very supportive of my weight loss journey and he gives me good advice.

Pixi & bg124: Congratulations on getting into the 240's...that's a great milestone! :carrot:

Jacqui: Way to go…hanging steady while on holidays. I hope you're really enjoying your time away!

wolfgirl: Even though you didn't show a loss, you're still down 3 lbs since the start of August, which is terrific. So, don't focus on last night's binge...just get back OP…you can do this!

GardenerJoy: It's nice you were able to eat your soy dish without penalty.

Cincorn: High sodium does put a damper on things. I hope the scales are kinder to you tomorrow.

BleuMaus, TrayTeam & Leah: Congrats on the continued losses!

gardenerjoy 08-08-2013 10:23 AM

Right there with you, cincorn! I ended up with two meals outside of my kitchen yesterday, but I made reasonable choices. Not too many calories, too much salt!

SW: 79.6kgs
CW: 79.55 (+0.55)
GW: 78

LovelyLeah: hope your shopping trip was fun! I enjoyed new sizes. I didn't enjoy that my body stayed proportionally the same, so I had to accept that off-the-rack clothes are going to gap at the waist if they fit in the hips and thighs -- I had to work with my brain a bit to not let that make me feel fat even after I lost so much weight! I read a great book called Do I Look Fat in This? by Rhonda Britten that explained how clothes are designed for size models who are not very curvy because curves make clothes more expensive to construct. Clothes that don't fit my curvy body are the fault of the manufacturers, not my body.

wolfgirl69: What did you learn from your binge last night? Any guess on what triggered it? How can you prevent it next time?

Tuscany: I get worried when I lose weight too quickly, too. I think it's helpful to have some breaks in the downward trend for everything to adjust.

LovelyLeah 08-08-2013 11:24 AM

Garden I haven't gone yet, I go later today. My thing is I know what works for my body type, finding it is a different story. Flare/bellbottom pants haven't been "in-style" for ages but they perfectly balance out my hips and make my but look cute. I have longer legs as it is so they don't make me look squat either. Right now it's all skinny jeans, everywhere!! Uh...no!! They make my hips look huge and since I have cankles they are just plain uncomfortable. Bootcut is hit or miss on me, it all depends on where it hangs and where it drapes.

Pixi and bg124 WOOOH!!!! You're into the 40's, woohoo!!! Congrats!

Good morning! Looks like everyone is either doing great or know where they went wrong and are correcting, so good job!

I am up this morning, the past two nights we went and got personal sized pizzas at a local joint. I stayed within my calories both nights but sodium is not kind :( ah well it'll flush off and I am well used to it. We eat out alot so my loss usually looks like a roller coaster lol

Congrats everyone on the losses!

Pixi Sodium can be a killer but at least it's not permanent weight gain.

Today I bought SIZE 10 PANTS!!!! Holy crap I didn't know that was possible! I grabbed my usual 14's and a couple of 12's just to test. Well I tried on a pair of 12's first and they were loose! I actually took them off and looked at the inner tag to make sure it wasn't labeled wrong. I went and got a pair of 10's and I almost cried because they fit so perfectly. Not too long ago I was wearing 16's and 18's.
