Default Focus on Nutrition Challenge?

I am an advocate of fitting treats into your calories/plan and not being deprived, but those "treats" have snuck in a bit too often for me and are close to becoming a regular thing instead of a treat. I need to get back to the habit of only having a small something one day a week and otherwise use my calories on food that provide something for my body.

So my goal is not to eat anything I consider a treat except on Fridays.

Is there anyone who'd like to join me in being accountable with your own goals? Of course everyones definition of what a treat is/how frequently to have one will be different. The point of this challenge isn't to avoid certain foods, and not necessarily about being within a specific calorie range or always staying OP, but instead just to get more nutrition for the calories.

I'm in. The sweets are creeping in for me, too. My goal is for eating a mostly plant-based diet, which I know I can do 'cause I've done it before but it takes planning. But a little bit of beef or chicken is not what is knocking me off plan...it's the processed carbs and sweets. So, yes, I'll be happy to join you.

I'm in! My biggest problem when dieting is my need for salty snacks. I think I would do better if I could just look forward to one every week, rather than obsessing about it all day, every day.

I'm not supposed to have any treats at all on the diet I'm doing, but that's a recipe for failure with me. I dont think one serving of goldfish a week will not make or break me, anyway. I will spend an extra 15 minutes at the gym that day

Glad to have you guys join! =D

Today went well. Since I had a couple things earlier this week before making the commitment of a treat just on Friday I will skip it this week.

Yesterday was junk-free, although I ate more dinner than I needed. Which is not usual for me Didn't listen to my hunger. Today's a new day

Yesterday went well as far as no treats go, even though I reaaally wanted chocolate. I can't say the same for my calories, but at least it all came from "real" food.

I'm still doing good with the no treats rule. And wow is it easier to stay in my calories when I'm not wasting them on unsatisfying things.
