I am really really disappointed in my weight this week. As I posted earlier I worked out exactly as planned 5 days this week. Some days I worked out more than others but I always did at least 30 min when I had previously been doing no exercise so even 30 mins was an improvement. My food was perfectly within my calorie range of 1400-1500 and I weigh everything so I should be pretty accurate. I am not whining but I want you to know my weight gain had nothing to do with me slacking (I was working at lot harder than I have any other week). Alright now that this is off my chest on to a new week.

Edit - I appreciate the advice and agree with all of you that my body has to adjust to my new plan so I will stick it out. I also know it is probably water weight but I still wish I was seeing a difference on the scale. I just didn't want you all to see my weight gain and think I cheated or slacked off all week.

Chickadee - I always find watching BL inspiring and motivational. For me it's like when you watch a home improvement show and then you feel like redecorating a room. It always makes me want to exercise more. Hope it will do that for you too.

BL note - I will be DVRing the show and viewing on Wednesdays so BL discussions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be a problem for me too.

I request anyone posting about the show start their post with an alert so platoon members can skip that part of the post until they have seen the show. Something like,

"BL SPOILER" - (and then your discission)

Thank You!!!

Hey troops---Sarge is sitting down right now to update the board, Black Ops rules etc...so if you have any sob stories about gaining etc. this week get 'em out there and move on ... No screaming or disappointment because Sarge enjoyed his last meal(s) in preparation for Black Ops too!

Congrats on the losses I'm seeing so far & welcome to all the newcomers...

back in a bit with updates

Rated- as a platoon we have been though this before and 1 week is not enough time to figure out if your plan is working. You may need to eat more and continue to increase your exercise. I think it is good that you shared what is happening and get some good advice from more experinced members.

Also, I read some complaining about weight loss this week. I was wondering if these people were tracking both exercise and eating? It would be helpful to have more information if you want help from the platoon.

Now to address my own drama. The next few weeks are going to be intense and I am both excited and scared. Trying to figure out what commitments I am going to make to reach 1-2 pound loss per week to stay competitive in this challenge has been hard. I am lucky to know what works, the issue is how much can I do before it stresses me out too much.

1. Log food and exercise
2. 1 hour a day of exercise
3. No processed foods (low carb)
4. No midweek drinking

This is the plan and I think it is the right mix for me.

I'll fix the Black Ops tab to the spreadsheet before the end of the week. It is only going to track % weight lost for easy comparison, so none of the data will populate the sheet until next Sunday. You won't need to update this tab, just update your own tab as usual, and the Black Ops tab will automatically update.

Great weekend, drank a couple of cokes :P Ready for Black Ops now! Game ON!

BLACK OPS RULES:

This is Black Ops troops…there will be no rule bending on this challenge.

--Basic rules: Sunday weigh-ins by 12 midnight (central time) / Thursday morning final elimination for player on bubble.

--To avoid elimination you MUST POST WEIGH-IN on SUNDAYS BY 12Midnight Central Time. If the time stamp of your post is later than 12Midnight that you are automatically eliminated. You CAN weigh in early!

--The player with the lowest % of weight loss on Sunday will be up for elimination UNLESS their % loss is better than the player being eliminated on the NBC Show which airs Tuesday nights.

However, on this thread, PLEASE DO NOT discuss the BL show until Thursday mornings for those of us who record it to watch without commercials and/or during workouts OFF THE SOFA!!! If you want to discuss the show in advance of Thursday morning, please chat on the 3FC thread at: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/bigg...you-ready.html
Or as Jeanettey suggested put a big, fat SPOILER ALERT at the top of your post.

--Since Black Ops is a side challenge, Sarge would prefer people to continue pledging and setting goals for themselves each week. The whole pledging concept is the one thing that makes Sarge’s Boot Camp unique on 3FC and I think continuing to pledge is fair to platoon members who are rooting for us but not participating in the challenge. If you don’t care to pledge or are near goal, it still remains perfectly ok to ask to be placed in the maintainers/coffee break zone.

--The players eliminated each week WILL CONTINUE TO PARTICIPATE just like the “at home players” on the NBC show. On 12/18 we will crown the ultimate Black Ops Winner & name the “at home” winner who didn’t let a little thing like being eliminated stop them from achieving their holiday goals!

I hope that covers everything. Here again is a list of the players I’ve got on my list as competing. If you’re not on the spread sheet hopefully we’ll get Anon to fix that this week:

Rated, Ries, Josey, Rainbow, Anon, PacSun, Ksquared, Pokey, Joyful, Dzak, Jeanettey, Chick, Ennay, Peanutt, Sarati, Dreamer, Rmc, Diyana, KittKatt, Tate, Envelope, FitGirl, Budget, Celrae, K3, Sewhat, Sarge, Kitty, Chesh, Munchey, Kris208

I'll add the total starting pounds of the platoon later today.

Rated: Hopefully your weight will drop this upcoming week. Often enough we change things and as soon as our bodies adjust, a lovely loss.

GOOOO Black Ops as well! In my head you are all Jillian's team right now... lol
I just remember her standing there with the black team behind her looking like they were about to murder. o.O

As for my gain this week. I know what I did and it WON'T happen again. This was a wake up call to everything I did this week (and didn't do). I can't get away with eating small snacks, fattening latte's and not working out (other than walking). So, this week, I'm going back to my original plans for the school year and STICKING TO IT. Next week, I want to drop everything I gained. I'm pissed at myself for doing what I did this week, I gained everything it took me so long to lose in 2 weeks. I was complaining about how slow it's been then I throw a chump week in. ><
WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN! I hold myself completely accountable.
That's out of my system. We all mess up sometimes, it's what we do after that counts, right?

Dreamer, so close to 100 days! If you make that will be insane!
