Tate: Great job with the walking!! It definitely continues to get easier to go longer over time. 8 months ago walking a mile was definitely tiring for me; now, I could walk for hours and be very happy.

I was feeling hungry tonight and was still way under my calories for the day, and I wanted to just eat snacky, crappy food but decided I'd done way too much of that this week. So I took a cue from Reso and decided to make something nutritious with whatever veggies I had in the fridge. Which turned out to be orange grape tomatoes, spinach, portobella mushrooms, leeks and red peppers - which went into an omelette (egg substitute) with a laughing cow light wedge and a slice of turkey bacon. 183 calories, 3.5g fat, and 23g protein - and it was huge, and I couldn't finish it all. There was way too much "filling" and I'm stuffed. So much better than anything I could have grabbed from the freezer or pantry.

I hope your turkey was great, Resolute, and thanks for the inspiration tonight.

I had a couple of turkey buns (60 % whole wheat vs the alternative, so 170 cals a piece vs 280, big difference ) and a little stuffing just now, was pretty good but always seems to be better as leftovers for me, didn't make any potatoes or gravy or vegetable maybe tomorrow, that and a rhubarb pie i think, been craving one for months.

It does seem one can eat well if they put forth the effort, lately i have been lazy and just eating easy junk, typically unsatisfying high cal stuff which one tends to over indulge, need to get back to eating more veggies.

Nights just about wrapped but i still need to do some weights, pretty much accomplished everything else i set out to do tonight though, so i am somewhat satisfied as of now.

Looks good BTW.

Weigh In

Lost 1 lb

Pledge 1 lb

I thought it would be more, because I feel a good bit lighter, but I'm happy. 1 lb a week is 52 lbs in a year. And almost to my goal in two years.

Good Morning! I am off to work. I had no exercise plans for today until I read this thread and realized I needed to get 1 hour in, so I will post my results later. I am excited about next week, the Black Ops is a nice incentive to push forward. Platoon Take Care!

damn it is early in the morning.

sucking down coffee in an attempt to be ready to run long in 20 minutes.

Chickadee - looks yummy. Sometimes I am horrified by the size of my plate of food when I really pile on the veggies. 300 calories and my dinner is bigger than my head.

My problem this week is monday I hosted a party and I ate the leftovers the rest of the week.

@ennay - haha, too funny... well I guess until it happens.

@joyful - we should talk recipes sometimes! I used to be a vegetarian and still base most of my dishes on veggies first and meat later.

@Reso - I can't wait to cook all the fall dishes! Turkey sounds soooo good! Do you have a crockpot? I like to use it for easy, no fuss meals. I also found, adjusted and re-invented (I always do that) some recipes that are more like throw in a pan, stick in the oven and done. I love those. I can prep them quickly when I get home, workout, throw them in the oven, take a shower and eat.

Was really tired last night so I went to bed early.

I am enjoying a relaxed morning with my daughters. We slept in to 7:30, they usually get up between 6:15 and 6:30. I ended up getting over 9 hours of sleep!

The hubs and son left early to go get materials to build a chicken coop. I am not completely excited. I like growing vegis in the garden, but I am afraid having chickens might push me over the edge and I will not be able to eat chicken anymore. Right now I like eating chicken, it is easy, quick, protein that the whole family will eat...I just do not think about where it comes from.

Going for a jog later today.

Resolute - There's a turkey in my freezer too and now I may have plans for it tomorrow!

chickadee - Thanks for the food porn, that looks delicious!

I made some goulash (or maybe it should be called crap in a pot?) for dinner last night. Cube steak, TVP, green beans, some dreamfields elbow macaroni, corn, peas, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic, and tabasco. I had a huge bowl of food (530 grams) for just 342 calories. It was great. Scale is at 160.8 this morning, so that covers my pledge and I'm hoping to be able to give a little extra by morning. Now it's time to go see what is to be done for workouts today, only 621 points until the next fitocracy level!

LOL, turkey is awesome, the worst part is cleaning the carcass, i should have some good meat for at least a week, probably freeze a little also and i call it goulash as well for those types of meals, one of my favorite quickies ( that i haven't had for ages actually ) is hamburger, mushroom soup , and peas mixed together, surprisingly good with some potatoes or french fries.

I should hit up my walk twice today i think, once early and once late, sure wouldn't hurt anyways. Should also put my desktop back together, it's been sitting in pieces for months now, just keep using the laptop instead but i'm starting to miss it and the bigger monitor.

All this talk about food and the beautiful picture above are making me hungry!

I haven't been here in a few days, but I'm still on track. Didn't get any exercise in yesterday, but will make up for it tomorrow with a double. Waiting until tomorrow for weigh in, but I've noticed a difference in the way my pants fit so I'm pretty sure I'll have some good news.

Stress has been off the charts the past few days so I'm working hard to keep my motivation going. Looking forward to BLACK OPS starting tomorrow - I NEED IT!

I took another Jeanettey challenge and got in an early morning hike with my dogs. 2.25 miles in 59 minutes. I don't get why I'm so much slower out on the trails than on the treadmill. Well I'm not going to snivel about it. I usually would have waited until later in the afternoon but I thought of this group and got my ars up and OUT!

I'm looking forward to pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I haven't been in the 170's in forever and I look forward to leaving them in the dust during this challenge.

Thanks everyone for making it happen and motivating me to get fit and lose some of this weight. I went back to the summer bl challenge threads and saw quite
an impressive group of 'losers' over there.
