Thumbs up

Thanks! I'm happy to check in. I'm 8lbs from my original WW goal from 6 years ago and being so lax with my champagne has gotten me here. I really look forward to the accountability!

2 days ago I switched from Weight Watchers to calorie counting on My Fitness Pal.
The goal the app gave me was 1540 and today I had 1473, yesterday was 1492.
So I'm off to a good start! I'm going to try and post here frequently to keep me accountable

Ended my high calorie Wednesday at 1588 so I'm ecstatic. Streaks up to 3!

And this is definitely why the 8s and 10s don't fit me! My waist is small 29.5" but my hips are 43" and thighs are 24". I think 10s are going to be a realistic (I hope) goal size for me and nothing smaller.

Ended yesterday at 1517. It was higher than I like, but I cooked some chilli and it was just really good. I had to have a second serving! I'm not feeling too bad since I had about 800 calories I earned back from working out at the gym, but still.... I don't like going over 1400. I did end the day under on Fitbit, so I guess I probably should have had a third serving LOL.

At the moment, I'm losing tons of weight in my legs and butt, but hardly nothing in my waist. All my pants are baggy and could fit two of me, but still fit great on my waist. It's annoying, but I guess it'll even out eventually.

My new gym goal is toning up my arms. They've always been a problem area for me and since I've dropped about 35 lbs, they look worse. I need some definition!

You guys are doing great. Welcome Munchy and Lily!

Ahh, the champagne - a surprise from the SO. It still went well, despite the calorie surprise

Nov 13, 2013
B: Hot tea w/lemon and agave (30), 1 cup carrot/peanut soup (159) = 255
S: None = 0
L: 1 cup roasted red pepper soup (100) = 100
S: Baby carrots/cherry tomato/cucumber (50) = 50
D: Turkey burger wrapped in lettuce (200), pepperjack (140), picamayo (50), grilled onion, jalapeno, mushroom, pickle (50) = 440
S: Dark salted chocolate w/almonds (67), mini bottle champagne (175) = 242
TOTAL: 1087

I don't know how many years ago I started making this recipe with a few tweaks - I don't like celery and I often want more than one can of beans, but it's a good start and for few calories, you really can't complain!

Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am brand new to 3FC. I would love to join this thread. I use MFP and did very well with it earlier this year. I lost 16lbs and then stopped (stupid me), and gained back 6 of them. I am still 10lbs ahead. So I am content with that. I still have 17lbs to go from right now and would love some support along the way.
I am 29yrs old and a mom of 2 boys! I have a very fast pace life style and would love to hear ideas on how to get exercise back in my life. I work 40-50 hrs a week and stuggle to work out. I am looking forward to meeting you guys and making the journey successful together!

Hi JenVitz and welcome,

Personally I don't like to exercise and I had gained back 15 lbs in the last few months and on October 10th I got the new fitbit flex band and I follow the calories in calories out and i'm losing around 1-1.5 lbs a week without exercising but I do walk when I can. I also sync it with myfitnesspal with foods daily. And I love it. Its a wrist band I wear 24/7 and it calculates my calories burned from midnight to midnight daily and thru out the day it tells me how many calories I can eat and if I go over it tells me and it monitors my sleep which is pretty cool.

Thanks for the recipe. I love the taco soup one from WW's too if you ever run across it. My chilli wasn't really that high in calories and I would have been fine with just one bowl, but I ate two. And the sad thing is, I was really full after the first. Oh well.... The scale didn't seem to care though and aside from the beans doing their thing, I'm feeling okay today.

Ending today at 1115. I might up that a bit if I get a good work out, but I'm just not feeling in the mood to do more than the elliptical and some weights today.

Hi JenVitz! With two boys, sounds like your getting some good exercise.

I'm going to pick up my Fitbit Force on Saturday. I can't wait. I like the zip, but I really want an armband version. I plan on replacing my watch with it. I'm probably going to see if my hubby wants my zip and if he don't, I know one of my coworkers will.

This time of year is going to derail me fast if I don't watch out. We're already having two parties up here and I've gotten request to bring desserts. I bought a new stand mixer and I'm really eager to test it out, but sweets are my weakness. I've been strong up until now. I hope I can continue to hold out till Thanksgiving!

That recipe sounds great. I am in a rut with making the same meals each week. It's just DH and I at home now and he doesn't complain (or even ask what's for dinner, lol, long story!). But, I do need to mix it up. I love celery in recipes with tomatoes lately so to me that sounds great. I was surprised to see 20 servings, may have to half it at least.

I couldn't exercise today and am going to an open house tonight where I'm told they have lots of food. Desserts is my weakness also! I'm at approx 1000 cals now so I will probably just have one little dessert and estimate the total. I'd love to reach my goal before Christmas but with all the events coming up it will be hard. But if we can just maintain through the holidays, that is huge!

Okay, so my dad bought pizza.....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Ending today at 1350, and that's with half a slice. I'm planning on half a slice, but the pizza has a long time to get here, so I may not even be awake to eat it.

Suffering from terrible insomnia. Not sure why, but since I've cut calories, I wake up every night at 2-3 am. I can't go back to sleep and when I do finally seem to do so, I have to get up shortly after. SO FRUSTRATING!!!! Anyone know any reason why a change in diet would do this?

Had a great night at the gym and am tuckered out. 35 minutes on the elliptical, weights, 10 minutes on the bike, and then 15 minutes on the treadmill to get my 15k steps in. My muscles will hate me tomorrow.

Yesterday was a great day calorie wise for me so I'm up to 4 days! I ended at 1,550 and that was with a much bigger than normal lunch, over 600 calories! I eat a school prepared lunch so it's always a surprise. My breakfast shake lasted me right till lunch, I usually have a couple hard boiled eggs as a mid morning snack but didn't need them which helped.

My husband and I are doing a weekend long hiking trip and are heading out right after work today which means the rest of our meals will be not be prepared by us. I'm not too worried about Saturday and Sunday since I'll be burning a ton of calories but I have to be careful with dinner tonight. I'd love to finally make it through a weekend under my goal.

I'm also quite excited because today I finally broke through the 76 kilos. I've seen 76.0 on the scale a couple times going all the way back to July but I've always yo-yo up due to extended vacations or short trips but this morning it was 75.9, not a big difference but psychologically it's huge. I'm really hoping Monday morning I'm still there (or lower).
