Yeah! We're about the same height too :-) Too bad I have ONE HUNDRED pounds more to lose than you lol!! I'll meet you at 135lbs though!

So last night ended with a 500 calorie binge putting me at 2000calories for the day :-( I dont know what happened. Well, I do. I was sitting there watching a good tv show, my calories were probably too low for the day, and the cucumber/tomato with vinegar I had planned as my snack wasnt going to cut it, so I ate a couple bites of couscous, which led to a piece of bread & cheese, which lead to a piece of leftover PEPPERONI PIZZA. UGH.

So to ensure that doesnt happen again today, Ive upped my breakfast, and my cals for the day, and also planned a more substantial evening snack. I usually eat dinner REALLY early durning the week (like no later than 6pm) my husband gets home from work around 430pm, works out, i get home around 530pm and we're both hungry.

B: 2 soft boiled eggs, 2 slices pepperidge farm wheat bread, 1 cup blk coffee
L: 1c couscous salad, 1/2 tbsp olive oil, 2oz baked tofu, 1c cherries
S: 1 serving light protein shake
D: Stirfry: 2 servings shirataki noodles, 3oz roast pork, 1c broccoli, soy sauce
S: 1 serving oatmeal

Calories: 1537
Fat: 55
Carbs: 169 (would like to be closer to 100-120 grams)
Protein: 103
Fiber: 30 (yay!!)

It doesn't matter where you start it matters where you finish, or so I've been told You do have more work to do than I but I have this sneaky feeling that the last 10lbs are going to prove to be very stubborn for me! We'll see if I can gut it out.

B- ¾ cup southwest style eggbeaters, 1 tsp olive oil, 1 tbl shredded cheese, 1 tbl low fat sour cream (208 calories)
S- slimfast snack bar (100 calories)
L- Homemade black bean dip, homemade baked corn tortilla chips (320)
D- 1 boca burger, 1 whole wheat deli flat, 1 slice low fat mozz, 2 cups raw spinach with 1 tbl caesar vinegarette, 2oz baby red potato with 1 tsp low fat sour cream (400 calories)
S- 4 oz non fat plain greek yogurt, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1/4 cup strawberries, 1 tsp lemon curd (122)

1150 calories

I was up a full pound on the scale this morning and it ticked me off so I am doing a light day today in hopes of getting the movement to be in the correct direction again.

I like the southwest eggbeaters better because they have just a little kick of flavor that helps.

I agree H82Sweat--the sw eggbeaters are good! I wish I liked just plain egg whites but I just dont! The only way I like them is if I hard boil an egg and just take the yolk out, but even then I always want to drizzle some olive oil/salt/pepper. Scrambled/omelet style egg whites always end up watery for me!

Ok, so tonight is my big Cheesecake Factory outing so I'm trying to plan my day well. I dont want to undereat and be starving at dinner, but I want to leave myself PLENTY of calories (about 800) because even the 'healthy' options are loaded!

B: 1 boiled egg, 1 slice wheat bread, 1 pear, 1 cup black coffee
L: 2 servings shirataki noodle stirfry with 1c broccoli/soy sauce/garlic
S: 15 cherries, 1 light protein shake

I'll update what I get for dinner--but it's probably going to be grilled mahi mahi with broccoli & asparagus or the ahi tuna carpaccio with a side of white rice (the tuna/rice has less cals, surprisingly)

So that puts me at:

Calories: 664
Fat: 17
Carbs: 97 (argh so high already! Alot of it is the pear & cherries)
Protein: 48
Fiber: 23

The only time I sat down today was when I ate or logged. So no formal exercise but I know I walked several miles with my granddaughter and also did yard work (putting in a planting bed and transplanting and filling pots with annuals, my favorite kind of work)

Thanks k15g15! Yes, leaving 800cals last night was def the way to go!!

H82Sweat-I love days that I feel like ive just been up and moving all day! Sometimes even more than just a formal workout session. I just makes me feel healthy! I sit at a desk 8hrs a day and it just feels gross!

Even with Cheesecake Factory last night, yesterday ended up good.

Only still a little frustrated that Im having a problem with wanted to eat late at night when Im watching TV. I SHOULD JUST GO TO BED! But there is something really relaxing to watching tv at night by myself. Ive added in a night snack, but it hasnt REALLY helped, it just makes me want more sometimes! I know it's because Im eating for pleasure at that point, and not hunger! Maybe I'll try switching the snack to something I really like, like cheese and a piece of bread.

Today:
B: 1 boiled egg, 1 slice wheat bread, 1 pear, 1 cup black coffee
L: 1 cup couscous salad, 1/2 tbsp olive oil, 2 servings baked tofu
S: 1 cup roasted veggies, 1 light chocolate protein shake
D: 6oz baked salmon, 1 cup rice, 1 cup broccoli
S: 1 serving organic instant oatmeal

Calories: 1540
Fat: 39
Carbs: 192

Wow-these past few days have been super busy. I have entered my menus into the dailyplate and for the most part stayed within my goal range. My lack of planning is apparent, and need to make it a priority no matter how short I'm running on time or whatever.

B(299): coffee w/2T. half & half, 1c. puffed wheat, 1c. light soymilk, boiled egg

L(600): 2 scrambled eggs, 1/2c. black beans, 1 oz. longhorn colby cheese, franks red hot, garden spinach & veggie tortilla, yoplait light

D(342): 2 slices ezekial bread, 2 oz. rosemary ham, 1/2 oz. havarti w/dill, lettuce, tomato, onion, beer mustard, pickle, 2c. hot tea

S(105): baby carrots, hardboiled egg

I certainly am able to make better choices, and all in all it's not too bad, but I can tell already I'm going to be struggling with being hungry later.

B- slimfast meal bar (200)
L- GNC shake with 4 oz banana (380)
S- 4 oz imitation lobster (105)
D- 2 oz pork tenderloin, 1 cup homemade pasta salad, 1 slice whole grain bread (500)
S-slimfast meal bar (200)
S- 4 oz fresh red raspberries (45)

1430 calories

Exercise was approximately 2 miles of walking and 45 minutes of active swimming (laps and treading water)

Hey, for those late night snacky cravings I find a small box of fresh raspberries works quite well with almost no calorie impact.

my goal for next week is to get more fruit in my diet... I havent been eating as much as I should... maybe that would stop the sporadic snacking of candy!

B: none
L: 1 cup hamburger helper ; 320
D: ravioli & sauce + breadstick ; 550
S: ?

total; 870 ..

this is just a total for now because I'm not sure what I'm eating today , but wanted to get an idea.

B- ¼ cup eggbeaters, 1 deli flat, 1 slice mozz, ½ tsp olive oil (210)
L- 1 gnc vanilla lean shake with ½ C blueberries (220)
S- ½ cup non fat cottage cheese with 1 oz chicken (100)
D- chicken caesar salad, whole wheat bread, lite laughing cow cheese wedge (570)
S- 2 light beers and popcorn (398)

1498 calories

Exercise was 35 min of intervals on the treadmill (rainy morning) and 1hr of swimming (sunny afternoon!) and 2 miles walking (nice evening) because I knew I was going to treat myself to a couple of light beers and something salty

I make it a priority to have fresh fruit and veggies in the house, both for my own weight control and health benefits, and for my children and granddaughter because I want them to grow up with better habits than I have. I think there is nothing nicer than some fresh berries with greek yogurt or a banana with a teensey schmear of natural PB to tame the sugar cravings. The protein in the greek yogurt and PB make the treat more filling. Another yummy is to take low fat cream cheese and mix a smidge of vanilla into it and spread it on fresh strawberries. It's like cheesecake without the guilt

Gosh darn holidays I was going to be all good and have a boca burger and green salad but by the time I had finished making the dinner my husband and son wanted for their Father's Day, I just couldn't resist. I did measure and weigh and interestingly enough I got full really quickly, which helped.

35 minutes of intervals, 1 mile of walking, and 8 loads of laundry (each requiring a run up and down stairs) and I just sat down which is the only time I have sat besides dinner! I am wiped out.
