Well, my eating has sucked lately. I've got to watch that. I don't feel bloated like I usually do---but I think that's coming if I continue to eat this way. I've not stepped on the scale because I really don't want to know what I've done to myself--again. Not sure why I've been doing this on again/off again stuff. I know Atkins is the only thing that makes me feel healthy, eat enough that I'm not always hungry, and that I can lose weight on. So why am I sabotaging myself.....good question!
Yesterday went and bought our oldest DD a gun. It's just like mine. I'm taking mine in tomorrow to get a scope put on it (I had one put on hers and told her I was going to keep that one and she could have mine. lol). Anyway, DH went to look at it last night...and the pump won't close---it's harder than heck and takes two people to open or close the dang thing. So that's going back tomorrow as well so they can fix it!!
Hope everyone has been doing better than me!! Hope you all had a great weekend!!

Brenda is the gun for deer hunting. My DH bought me a 243 last yr. and I really like it. It doesn't kick much. Before, I always hunted with a 20 guage single shot with a slug and it kicked a lot. I have a nice little scope now, so watch out deer. I have used my son's 12 guage before with a slug and it practically knocked me down.
I am now Day 3 of being totally on program for the millionth time. I got a lot of exercise outside yesterday mending the fence, so dogs would stay in the yard. Dang, they outsmarted me at least 5 times. I am making a conscious effort to drink a lot of water. Like you, I want to wait a few days to weigh again but my clothes are feeling very comfortable.
I did discover yesterday that I am physically very weak in upper body. I tried to lift a board that wasn't over 20 lbs. and could only lift one end at a time. I didn't know that I was this weak. I used to heft 250 lb. patients up in bed all the time at the hospital, I sure couldn't do it now. I was practically this size myself and if I still were, I'd probably need assistance now to even get out of bed. All this illness and multiple surgeries has really taken a toll on me. I am going to start using my exercise ball again for push-ups and see if I can regain some strength.

BB, I read your last post about the water and wt. gain. I tried once for a week to stick strictly to 20 carbs and drink at least 80 oz. of water a day. I expected a great loss that week and gained 2 lbs. I also was drinking diet soda and coffee and I definitely retained some of the extra fluid. I think the sodium from the soda and caffeine with both made me gain. I'm not sure but it seemed this way to me. I rarely drink any soda now, but I do drink at least 48 oz. of water, plus lots of coffee. I pee all the time and not retaining so much fluid. I also take potassium, calcium and a multivitamin everyday.

10-09-2006, 11:37 AM
Good Morning

BB~I dont believe l/c helps you retain water. I think its the fact that the diet itself is diruetic(sp?) and eating any salty foods keeps the water inplace. Do you notice that you crave water? are my suggestions to kick yourself out of your stall

~drink at least 120oz of water
~lower your fat and salt intake
~eat at least 2 eggs a day
........if you want to try something that I know works...try eating only eggs for lunch and breaky (only butter and salt and pepper for cheese or any other type of garnishes) for supper, only a protein and salad, or veggie (butter, or oil & vinager for dressing on the salad)
....You will notice a drop within 3 days! Do this for 7 days. If you are hunger inbetween meals, eat an egg (thats your only allowed snack) I works~!

Thanks :thanks: LILLYBELLE:)

Hi Ladies:)

Didn't:nono: do too good at WI this morning. Up 1.5 this morning. I noticed that since I'm low carbing,I tend to have a salty:dool: taste in my mouth. Don't know if I should drink more water,as I'm up to 80 oz. 1/2 my weight.
I'm reading :book2:conflicting articles about water intake. Some experts say to flush water out with water, and than others are saying to eat diuretics like certain veggies[asparagus, cucumbers, lettuce & onions] Does anyone have any idea:idea: if this is correct?????????

I read:book2: the sticky above in the FAQ thread that low carbing does tend to get us retaining water. Thats why I'm asking the question.:?: I'm on the Atkins WOE for 10 weeks and I'm stalling for about 4 wks. Was hoping  for a great loss this week eating the right amts of carbs. Maybe:idea: I have to go back to Induction for a while, and work myself back to were I was lossing again.

Hugs:) BB

PS Brought this post to this week thread.

Thanks Lily & Robin for your help

Lily: Hope your workouts give you the improvement you want. And sorry the dog chewed up your stuff! How did it go w/the boot? Fixable?

Robin:  How's it going?

BB: I've never heard LC makes you retain water. I thought it was the opposite affect as usually the first weight that goes off is the water weight. Interesting!

Well, did good yesterday food wise. Probably a little higher in carbs--but they were healthy carbs so I'm ok with it. Didn't quite get all the water in---but it was better than nothing. Stepped on the scale this morning and it wasn't too bad. So I'll leave the sig. where it is for a couple weeks to see if I can get that weight there again. If not, I guess I'll have to break down and re-do it. Today I take the guns in. Won't even let them touch mine until I know if they can fix DD's!! Well, off to go get them into cases and get some other stuff ready :)

10-10-2006, 09:45 AM
Good Morning

Brenda~ its going  non-stop! Thanks for asking

Food hasnt been good, but Ive just been too busy to deal with it. We have been trying to get ready for the trade show tomorrow. I spent most of the day yesterday, getting our background wall done. Personally I think it looks specatular!! But now my back muscles, and the muscles all along the backs of my legs are very sore. Its a 4ft wide piece and when you lay it down, its a long way to reach and apply all that vinyl :whoo: But its done, and so is our banner. I wasnt happy with the banner, an of course managed to catch hubby in a bad mood when I told him. It needed some perking up. To me it just looked like a black banner with writing on it.....not too exciting. Especially when our tag line is "we will get you noticed" it needed some help  now it has some nice racing flags on it!!

Today will be spent pretty much at the heat press, trying to get enough stuff done for samples for tomorrow. We thought we had quite a bit, but we realized its all the same stuff. Just our company name, and tag line. So today, its "cool" stuff on shirts!! We ordered an attache case to use for our "door prize", and the winner can have their logo applied to it. That could be interesting, cuz we havent done that before

So, yup, its been busy around here. We also received our new cutter exciting fun one, Im really looking forward to learning how to use it and the new program that came with it. We also received our new computer yesterday......but its still in the box. With everything thats going on, getting that puppy up and running isnt going to happen until this weekend. Cuz thursday we have to go to rochester....will likely be there most of the day.

Well, Im done my book  have a great day ladies!

Hi everyone.
Brenda, I took my "space boot" back to the orthotics place and they were able to sand off the rough "doogie teeth" edges and it is again usable. Yeah, I sure didn't want to pay for another one. It was a little embarassing to say the least.
As for my weight, I was disgusted this morning. Yesterday, I weighed 138 lbs. and thought there was hope of seeing 135 some day. I ate very carefully and drank my water. This morning, I weighed 140. A 2 lb. gain. I felt so much thinner when I got up today, until seeing that darn scale. My body absolutely refuses the 130's. (When I hit 145, I was ecstatic, so I don't know why I feel so driven to lose more). I have got to get out of this mindset and be happy with where I'm at. I feel like I'm too obsessed with the scale. Starting now, I'm not going to weigh for a week, these daily fluctuations drive me nuts. Next Tuesday when I weigh if I'm 140-145, my goal range, I am going to put on a happy face and be glad that I am maintaining, like I should be.

10-10-2006, 03:15 PM
My weight is up 4 pounds. I am frustrated. I have measured and I don't see any change. I totally blew this woe yesterday. Guys if you can send me some motivation to my spirit, I would greatly appreciate it. I have already blown the day, but I intend to go back to bacon & eggs for breakfast, blackened chicken salad for lunch and chicken broth for dinner. or vice versa for the next few days and try again. I am exercising daily up to 3 miles, but good grief, my body is just not cooperating. I really wanted to see 169 this month.

Hi Ladies:)

I was in the middle of posting to you when my computer went down. I don't remember what I was posting in the orginal one.

I wasn't feeling well this morning, had sort of a tummy ache, with the salty taste in mouth syndrom.Than I remembered that I had a severe sinus headache over the weekend tha resulted into a draining of the sinus yesterday morn.turning my mouth salty tasting. Now that I know I'm not worried anymore.

Brenda-I have to agree with you, about the low carbing. with the water retention. This hasn't happened to me before,so I have to find the culpid in my menu.

LILYBELLE-We had the "darn scale" decussion on another board that I post to just this morning. Weigh-in everyday doesn't to be frustrating,I weigh-in everyday but I average out by adding to find the total than divide into 7= total average weight for the week. Hope that helps.

MsChris-Sending your [[[[good :goodvibes: vibes]]]] and cyper  hugs for support & motoavation. What did you do or eat so bad??????? "CARBS" . When I have a bad day with carbs I usually try to eat PB[fat] to stop the cravings. Fiber, Fat & Acidic foods like lemon or vinegar on salad are carb competitors.Learn that from another diet I was on. Hope that helps.

Hugs :) BB

10-10-2006, 10:14 PM
BB, I started another thread under the Maintainers Thread. I was worried that I am becoming to obsessed with losing more. When I saw 140 on the scale and it depressed me, it sent up a RED FLAG. I should never let myself get down over being in my goal range. I don't need to lose more and don't feel it would make me any happier or healthier. I am going to just weigh every Tuesday morning for a while, and try to pay attention to how my clothes fit and how my body feels and not what the scale says. It is easy to get in the mindset that if 140 feels good, then 130 would be even better. But, what if at 130, I think 120 would be even better. I think I need to just try to maintain where I'm at for at least 6 months and quit obsessing over losing more. I allowed myself a treat meal tonite with my family and enjoyed it without guilt. Now, I got it out of my system and I'll be back at maintenance tomorrow morning.

10-10-2006, 11:17 PM
I blew it again. Not sure what happened. Need to re-do my mindset. I also need to get the exercise in. I can feel my neck tightening up and I know that exercise would help ease that up. Either that or I'll end up at the chiro office once a month. Cheaper to exercise. Would love a personal trainer to get on my butt and shame me into moving by getting in my face. Maybe I'll have to talk to one of my friends. She jogs all the time--maybe she'd help in that area. Need to get back OP with both eating and water at least. That's my goal tomorrow. And I'm going to dig out some of my other exercise tapes. Would love to get into a routine again. time for bed :)

10-11-2006, 01:01 AM
Just wanted you all to know that after 2 months with this ankle injury and virtually no exercise that I climbed on the treadmill tonite with my ankle boot on and made it 1/2 mile. I realize that isn't far, but it's more than I have done in a long time. I am going to try to continue this most every night. Not to lose more weight, but to help me feel better. I just feel like I'm getting weak and tired and I know that exercise helps me feel better.

10-11-2006, 09:26 AM
Lily: I think it's awesome that you managed to do even 1/2 hour! Bet you felt great after that :) Keep up the great work!!

Well, I've got 16 OZ of water in so that's a start. Breakfast will be an omelet after the girls get on the bus. Then I'll work on YG stuff. Then I'm hoping to be able to squeeze a 1 mile WATP in. That's the plan anyway :)

10-11-2006, 10:15 AM
Ok ladies I went shopping yesterday and I am restarting induction today since I am not pregnant. Gonna get this weight off this time. Me and my husband are going to be careful now cause a baby at this time would not be good. So here I am again. Do any of you ladies have a account with Myspace. If you do, Let me know I have one on there where I have all of my fellow "dieting" buddies and we chat and leave pics and stuff like that. Ok guys well I am off to make breakfast.

Hi Ladies:)

Nothing new going on today we were down at the beach to gety some walking in but the wind was so bad we had to turn around. I managed to get 20 mins of walking done, but my DH had to trun around earlier. My Leg hurt trying to push thought that wind.

Weight is down again today,I must have had a lot of water in me the other day.Going to take an average weight for the week instead of once a week. I find it hard to w-i on a perticular day and be up for no reason,so my decision of averaging it out make more sense to me.

Have a good one

Hugs :) BB

Hi everyone, I am very excited about being able to walk some on the treadmill again. My one scheduled treat meal didn't hurt me last night, as it gave me "diarrhea". I went shopping last night and got 9 long sleeve shirts at Walmart for only $82.00. It's getting colder here and none of my shirts from last winter fit now. I also went down in shirt size which is my problem area. I went from a 10-12 to an 8-10. So, that felt good and my tummy even looks pretty flat in them, which is a great bonus. I have a renewed commitment to maintaining and not trying to lose more weight, but do want more exercise for my weakened physical condition.

Sandra, I'm glad you let us know about the possible pregnancy and how that turned out. Maybe the timing just wasn't right and after you and hubby work things through, maybe a pregnancy then will be great for you both. HUGS.

Brenda, thanks for the exercise compliment. I am happy to feel like I can walk some now.

BB, you are doing just great. Keep up the good work.

10-11-2006, 11:06 PM
Didn't get exercise in. Tomorrow I've got to go bail the boat and feed the whitetail so that'll be exercise. Didn't get my water in--only 1/2 of it, but eating was OP so that's a start. Tomorrow I should have more time to exercise IF the furnace people don't come in the morning. We've got to get the furnace checked out as it's getting COLD here. We've even had a couple snow flakes flying!! UGH!!!

10-12-2006, 01:42 AM
I made another 1/2 mile on the treadmill tonite. Yeah, I feel great about this. I ate on program today and drank a lot of water. I'm back on track after my "free meal" last night.

10-12-2006, 09:24 AM
Hi girls! Well they have the gym shut down this week at work, so that stinks. All is well here on the homefront. They said that it is supposed to be cold here for us tomorrow, so i am trying to break out the sweaters. I have a few, but i need to get a small white tee to wear under them cause they are a little transparent, but really warm. And OMG ladies I found something to do with my brown sugar in the house. Its a great recipe and anyone who buys exfoliating products should try this, not recommended for the face though.

Mix together:
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of olive oil
2 tsp. of coconut extract

take your regular shower and the for the last thing you do, take that mixture and rub it all over and it will leave you soft and smelling sweet. i found it in a magazine and i tried it this morning. It was wonderful. I smell like brown sugar. Mike thought i was baking something. lol Just wanted to share with you guys.

Good Morning Ladies:)

Not going to walk :running: or exercise:exercise: today,as I hurt my hamstring trying to walk against the heavy winds we had at the beach:beach: yesterday.

Now I have to be careful what I put on my menu today. Don't want to gain this week.

Lily-I have a :woops: threadmill, but its a manual one and its in the basement right now,as I don't have room upstairs for it. Its hasn't been used for a long time. I do have my stationary bike:ebike: that I will use during the inclimate:snow4: winter months ahead.

lady_adnerb-We're lucky:lucky: we don't that the heavy snows:snow4: like some places do. So I'll be outside as long as I can with those winds.Sometimes it hard to get your water intake done. But I saw that any liquid is Ok[not soda]or [caffine drinks]. Its that correct????? I have water during the day but at night I switch to crystal lite,as plain water I'd be visiting the b-room all night.

Have to go,take out the garbage, will post later

Hugs :) BB

Hi ladies, hope everyone is having a great day. I am starting to require a lot less sleep. I'm up by 7:30 every morning now. It's getting colder here and I'm getting dressed with long sleeves as soon as I wake up. I haven't turned the heater on yet, but we did make a fire in fireplace last night. . My eating is on program and I'm slowly getting back into the treadmill walking.

My son came to visit yesterday, the first I had seen of him since Saturday. I can't help it, I really miss him since he's moved out. I am getting pretty scared from the talks of what is happening in North Korea. My son is in the Army Reserves and I sure hope he doesn't get sent somewhere overseas. He has Army Drill this weekend and I expect he'll hear more at this time.

Hi  its me again.

I have a question is there a set of low,med & high carb catergory grams.????????????That we can follow as a guide.

Reason I'm asking is that when I'm looking at labels carbs-fiber =net carbs. How many grams is considered low.????????????To me its still confusing.

Example I was looking at yogurt that had 11 carbs,0 Fiber, but it has 7 gr sugar. [Lowest sugar I found] Is that exceptable on the Atkins diet????

Thanks In advance

Hugs :) BB

10-12-2006, 01:11 PM
BB, I found LC yogurt at Walmart that has 5 carbs and is tasty. I think it's Yoplait or Dannon, I can't remember. But it's creamy and tasty. I'd think 11 carbs is too high, because it wouldn't leave you much carbs for the rest of the day. My Atkins For Life, maintenance book, spells out which foods are in the low, medium and high carb food groups and which you should eat frequently, rarely or often. Maybe that would help you.

Lily - Congratulations on getting back to exercising. I will light a candle for your son that he isn't called to battle.

Sandra - Sorry to hear about the little one. Glad to see you are pushing through on the woe anyway.

Brenda - the only way you are going to start getting that exercise in is to schedule it. I normally have to do it right after I get the boys off to school and before I start doing household chores like cooking, cleaning washing or general running. Sometimes I make myself exercise before I go to bed even though it is 3 AM. You aren't alone though - I am right here trying to get back on this woe with you.

BB - I bought Simply Jiff to try out to kill the cravings. I compared it to the "natural no sugar no salt added peanut butter" and it had the same number of carbs per tablespoon. I LOVE peanut butter and syrup sandwiches, so hopefully I can withstand the temptation to bake atkins bread. I already have Davinci Maple syrup.

My scale has not budged yet. I am going to have to change my signature. I am trying to tell myself, it isn't increasing either. I am trying to resist the temptation to go back to the microwave diet. I know if I do it I will lose since it severely restricts my calories (about 1100 - 1200 a day), but just about all those meals are carb-loaded. I only saw a couple of South beach that would keep me on program.

10-12-2006, 03:48 PM
Ms. Chris, Thanks.
I have found that I really have to limit the peanut butter, it gives me such cravings for other sweets.

10-12-2006, 07:13 PM
Its snow storming here, with thunder and lightening, the furnace and wood stove is on!! *can you see me shivering!!*

10-12-2006, 10:10 PM
The temp tonite is supposed to be 28-32 degrees. That is really cold to me. We have a fire going in fireplace, but I will have to turn heater on when we go to bed. I do love it when it snows, bad thing is that's when I like to cook big stews and chili's and bake desserts. I miss my sweets and I'm going to have to check out some low carb desserts to make. I like to cook.

Hope that helps it has lots of recipes in there. from induction-OWL-maintainance

Have to get ready, will post later

Sandra: Thanks for the brown sugar tips. sounds like it would smell good :)

Lily: That's one thing I miss as well when it gets cold--chili and stews.

Robin: I've never seen a snow storm with Thunder and lightning. Sounds scary! We're getting a few flakes here---and COLD!!

BB: Hope the appointment goes well! And I was told if it wasn't water it didn't count for your daily intake. So not sure what to believe!!! I would think anything made with water would be counted--but that's me :)

Ms Chris: You're absolutely right. I should really set up a schedule. Then maybe I'd get everything done instead of saying "oh, that can wait." I did set up a calendar with things the girls are supposed to do. lol. I should break it down even further into things for ME to do. Hourly/daily. Thanks for the idea. And I'll definitely have to write exercise in!!

I did well last night. We have 3 bags of sixlets here (DH's fav--and the only time I can find them is during October--so buy as much as possible at a time. I figured 3 would be enough. lol) and I've managed to dodge them the past couple days. Again, didn't get the water in--but that's ok. I figure I'm never going to reach perfection so I'll just continue to work at it :) I'm happy with that so far. And I don't feel like I can accomplish too much with my system being as screwed up as it is right now. I feel bloated and crampy and TOM isn't supposed to come until next week. But I've felt this way for almost this whole month (and yes, the doc knows about it). So I'm just trying to maintain until that gets straightened out. Then I'll try and readjust my thinking and lose more weight :)

10-13-2006, 10:18 AM
Well, they've got a driving ban here, trees are down, and we are one of the very lucky ones to still have power. Over 300,000 are without power here.

Power lines are down, and there is well over a foot of snow out there right now. Dh and I are heading out in a few minutes to get some of the branches off our power and phone lines, and pick up the poor tree in the front yard. I'll take pictures and post them on my blog later today.

A foot of snow isnt bad in itself, but with the rain before, and all the leaves still on the trees, its all just too heavy.

Its just amazing......Ive lived in northern ontario most of my life, and Ive seen ice storms, 3-7 foot snow dumps and drifting that literally blocks you into your house, but nothing like what Ive seen here in Buffalo today.

We've even made the front page of

Well, Im off to get my exercise, heavy shoveling in the middle of october :)

I'll check back later.

Oh, Brenda....even scarier, is when what you thought was lightening, isnt....its a bright blue then orange light(power lines coming down) Very scary!

10-13-2006, 12:04 PM
BB, thanks for the links. I'll try some of these.

It is cold here. 32 degrees this morning. I have the heater on. I'm waiting on my coffee to finish brewing. Hope everyone is staying warm.

Robin, glad to see you still have power. A couple yrs' ago we had a big ice storm and were without power for 2 weeks. We were one of the lucky ones that at least had a fireplace and a well to get water from. We had to use our small generator that was for our camper to keep the freezer and refrigerator on. We had several of my DH's cop friends come here to eat and get warm. It gave me a taste of what it must have been like before electricity and running water. Thankfully my stove is gas and it was still usable during this time.

Hi all! It's 10:30 at night here. Just finished my treadmill for the day. Haven't gotten on the scale in about 2 weeks! I'm going to see how long I can go. I don't really feel any different and I have incorporated some toning exercises now so who knows, I may end up gaining a few lbs. (muscle)
Robin - Can't believe that snow! I could surely do without that! FLorida is looking better and better to me! Here in Delaware we don't get too much snow but the cold is bad enough for me!

Lillybelle, Glad to see your gettingback on the treadmill. Isn't it something how quick you lose everything you put into it when you stop doing it?

shout out to Sandra, MsChris, Brenda and beachbum! Hope everyone is doing well!

Nothing new on my end, weight is going up[153.5] for some reason,I can't put my finger on it. Leo is telling me that the old body is tired & doesn't want to lose anymore. My doctor say no,I can make it 140,I just have to stop eating carbs.

Going an a strict Induction again for a few days and see what happens. I think I know what my problem is I'm eating alot of dreamfield [5 net carbs] pasta lately.Don't know if i need that comfort food now that the weather is getting colder.

Maggie-Glad to see you back, that a great possiblity as muscle weighs more than fat.I think I have to up my exercsing up little more as one can see in the exercising thread I only going for 20 mins this last week. and I w-i and wonder why my #'s are go up.

LILY-Congrats on winning at bingo.I once won a basket of cheer, and since we don't drink I gave away the bottles for gifts.Have a great time at the picnic,I'm sure you'll be ok with the eating, you're more experienced in that field than I am.

ROBIN_stay warm & toasty in this surprise snow storm.

Well things are still upside down around here. My eating isnt too bad, but not op. I'll get back to it in a few days.

We have been very lucky!! We have power, heat, and water. So many places around us dont! They have shelters for folks to go to, to get warm, and eat. Its just been amazing what is happening here. What amazes me the most is the ppl that have pitched in to help each other.

Yesterday, our neighbour ...who just had open heart surgery last april, and about 2 weeks ago had her thyroid taken out due to cancer was out pulling branches off her car!! I couldnt get outside fast enough to give her **** for doing that. But she got an earful from dh and when we caught up with her! She wanted to see if there any damage done to her car! So we helped her...but any shovelling, pretty much everyone on the street has left it. Its just too heavy. Our back door was blocked with snow, but there was no way we were going to shovel it. Because if anything happened to my dh or me, the emergency crews could not have gotten down most of the streets to get to us.

Well, Im off to shower (they lifted the water usage restriction for us) and get busy.

Have a great day ladies.

Hi everyone, just a quick post before the picnic. Hope you all have a great day. I have made it 4 days in a row with my treadmill, yeah!. I found out the food today is being catered from a barbeque place. I'll get mine without any BBQ sauce and stick to meat and salad.
DH has already left to play in the golf tournament. My son had Army Drill so he doesn't get to go with us this yr. He is a golf fanatic.
BB, I hit points where I thought my body was absolutely refusing to go any lower in Wt. But, it all eventually worked out. Just keep doing what you're doing. I specifically remember that at 157 lbs. that I started to just try maintenance because I was literallly stuck. Hang in there.
Robin, I don't envy you right now with all that snow. I always think the snow is beautiful now that I don't have to leave the house unless I want. But, it sure was different when I had to get out in it and go to work.

Hi all!
Lillybelle- congrats to your DH! I've never won anything myself either, I guess I'm just waiting for the big one !
BB - Thanks . I'm about at the same place that you are still. I'm almost to the point where I think I HAVE to buy a new scale! it just MUST be the scale! It's just not moving anymore! Well, sounds good anyway!
Robin - Hope things are warming up for you a bit up there!
Went to the outlets today to do some shopping. I'm pretty happy with just being able to shop in a regular store for both my tops and bottoms! That in itself is a huge accomplishment! I even need to get a new winter coat this year because it is huge on me!! yipee! It's going to be the first year in a long time that I'm not going to feel like an overstuffed polar bear in a winter coat!
I must keep reminding myself of all these good things to keep myself going because I'm so not done yet!
Have a good Sunday everyone!

Me and my DD will also shop next week for a winter coat. I haven't bought a new one in quite sometime. Before it seemed that I was always so hot that all I ever needed was a sweater, sweatshirt or light jacket. But, now I'm freezing. I used to freeze the rest of my family by keeping thermostat on 65 degrees. Now, that is way too cold for me.

Hi Ladies:)

Its getting cold up here,I have to start taking my winter clothes out of the basement storage boxes soon. Hope they will fix me as I gained alot before starting Atkins. My summer clothes are getting losser so many theres a chance that they will fix me,as I lost inches more so then weight.

Up this morning but I had a spinach pie, where the crusts were made from muenster cheese{SODIUM} that my problem I a salt freak. The Spinach Pie was delish..........I found it on a low carb recipe board. Doctor told me that when on a low carb diet your body craves salt.So now I have to go to the old watering hole and drink more H2O to get rid of the water retention. Will I ever learn.

Have to get ready for church will post this afternoon

Hi all, it's cold and rainy here. Me and DD are going to go grocery shopping and maybe look for a winter coat. I have made a list of the foods we need, otherwise I always forget stuff. My carbs have been up a little the last few days and I am now trying to cut back a little. I haven't weighed since last Tuesday, but clothes fit fine. I am getting some exercise on Treadmill and this should help some.

I almost forgot, my DH won a $50.00 gift certificate in the company picnic drawing yesterday. We won a $100.00 gift certificate for the couples "twist" dance contest. Yep, I shook the old booty in front of everyone. LOL.

I thought since we were on a roll with winning money, that we might have a chance with our lottery ticket, but only won $3.00 there. Oh well, maybe next time.

Sorry about posting so late. Our internet company turned our computer off,for no reason. We finally got a hold of them,to turn it back on,we paid our bill for Oct.

When our computer was turned back on the first thing we saw that that Hawaii had a major earthquake. YIKES!! Hope we'll be able to cruise there. I can't believe this is happening as it to me 40 years to convence Leo to take me there.

Maggie-Sending good :goodvibes: vibes that you and I won't be stuck at our #'s that long. Wish I could blame the scale but its a new waisthigh physicans scale from health-0-meter. Oh well!! Heres to next week.

Lily-You and you DH are on a roll. Its be nice to know a millionaire. Good Luck:lucky: on your next :cupgold: play.

Have a great evening,until tomorrow

Hugs :) BB

Hi BB, glad you got your computer back on. I was without mine for about 5 days a couple months ago and it drove me nuts.
My SIL has a trip planned to Hawaii for next week during school fall break. She's a teacher. I hope she still gets to go and is safe. I have never been. It seems every time we save for a vacation, we end up spending it on medical bills instead.
I'm not feeling so good today. Having a lot of pain over my right upper abdomen and right side of my back. My whole liver area is covered with rash again. I'll go a couple months feeling great and then, BAM. I have spent most of today curled in a ball on my left side. I have pain pills to take but they make me sick at my stomach, so I try to avoid them. I sure hope this goes away soon, it usually takes about 2 weeks to feel better. I have wanted to walk on Treadmill today but have been in too much pain and figured it would only make it worse.

I went ahead and did 1/2 mile on the treadmill tonite. Didn't notice that it made me feel better or worse.
