Hi guys!

I've started the new thread as suggested.

For anyone who's interested, we are going to commit to 3 days a week of the exercise of our choice, and "join class" in here in the morning, making a commitment to exercise that day, and then log in later to report on our progress.

This way we'll know that during our busy lives we've managed to get some exercise in!

So join us here on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and any other day you want to drop in and say hi! :D

........................................

Well I got my walk in! I didn't go for as long as I wanted, and didn't get the stretches in either, but I DID EXERCISE! Yay!

I will be taking my clothes to work tomorrow, so let's pray it doesn't rain!

Nona and Rose, how did you both go? Talk to you tomorrow. :)

Lynne

Hi all!

It's so funny, I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE! I hate being able to see how many have looked at your post - 8 people have, but no one's replied! :( I'm all alone.... *sob* hee hee only kidding! :D

I am "joining class" to say that my intention to go for a walk has been washed away by the rain, so lounge aerobics for me tonight. I am planning on 1/2 hour of that, combined with floor stretches, situps etc.
Food will be on track, journalling on par.

Bye till later!

Thanks Lynne for starting a new thread:D! I didn't have time to post yesterday but I sure did manage to do my workout on Saturday. It feels so good to be working out again. Today I plan on doing some Tae Bo. I was going to do a little total gym on Sunday but it was so hot in my apartment I decided not to and save my energy for today. No sense in getting burned out by doing too much too soon. I'm glad you're here with me:). Hopefully the rain won't stay around too long for you:)! What videos do you workout to? I'm hoping Nona posts soon and others out there that would like to join us:)!

NONA ARE YOU OUT THERE? Please post:)!

Okay talk to you all later. I won't post until tomorrow because I'll be doing my workout tonight. Have a good one everybody:)!

Hi there!

Rose, I would have to join my second day of class with TOM looming wouldn't I????? Basically, I blobbed on the couch last night with no motivation whatsoever! However, I have deferred my session to tonight, and Marc will be home pushing me, so no chance of missing it again!

Great to hear you're going strong, and yes I'm glad we're here for each other too! :) The aerobic tape I've got is an old Jenny Craig one. Do you guys still have her over there? It's quite good, as it's low level so you don't burn out. With your total gym and tae bo, are they all tapes, or your made up stuff too?

Nona, get your butt in here and join the class!

Okay, well off I go, but I will talk to you again, if not before, definitely on Thursday.... Don't you love the fact our exercise class is FREE? hee hee

Chow for now!

Hi Lynne:wave:!

It looks like it's just you and me so far. I hope others join us. I did manage to do Tae Bo last night. I do the 30 minute basic workout and it didn't seem as tough for some reason last night. Hmmm maybe I'm getting better at it:)! I know the feeling about TOM. It's so hard to do anything especially the first day. I hope you feel better today and get some exercise in. I might workout on my Total gym tonight. I need get some stretching and strength training in. I hope this works. I've been exercising on and off for a while but I think making it a regular thing is a good idea. I'll be more likely to stick with it then. We still have Jenny Craig here too. In fact there used to be a workout show on one of our cable channels but I'm not sure if it's still on. Those are good workouts. Okay I'll check in tomorrow to let you know what I'll be doing for my workout on Weds.

Nona-Are you out there? Please join us:)

Anyone else out there that's interested in joining our little challenge please jump in. :D

Keep moving:)!

Hi Rose (and any others! :D )

You're going to kill me. I still haven't exercised! It's that darn period and recovering from my cold.

I feel like I don't do much else but complain and make excuses, but I'm hoping to change all that tomorrow!

I've got weigh in tonight, so I think that'll be the kick in the pants I need! :(

Talk to you tomorrow, and I have to say I'm very impressed with how well you're going, and I PROMISE to join in properly!!!

Well, youíll be happy to hear Iím officially over THAT slump! :D

After thinking about it over the last day, and talking to you guys, and then seeing a girl on TV voted ďslimmer of the yearĒ after losing the amount I have to lose in 14 months, well, nothing could hold me back! Also, I went to WW and Iíve gained .4 kilos (.88 pounds), which is basically irrelevant due to TOM, so I felt even happier. Sooo,Ö. Iíve set a goal to lose that gained weight from the last 3 weeks, and get the ball rolling again!!!! Itís so good to feel motivated again. And you know what I did? I decided rain or shine Iím not missing anymore exercise. One of the things holding me back was not being able to walk at night because it wouldnít be safe, then I realised thereís a busy main road just up from our house, so I drove there tonight and did my walk from there!!! :D Then came home and did my stretches and planned my food for the next week. And Iíve got a new journal, so awwwwaaaayayyy we go!!!

Just had to tell you that, so you didnít think I went to bed feeling as down as I did earlier. I WILL DO THIS!!!

Night friends! :D

Hi everyone:wave:!

Lynne-I'm so proud of you:D! You did it! Believe me I know how TOM can get you down. But now you are back on track. Good job with WW too. That's great. I actually did my Total Gym last night and it felt good. Now tonight I need to do my Tae Bo again. I was so tired last night I was tempted not to do anything but I was glad I did. I really need to get some of this weight off. Okay I'll check back later.

I hope some of you others will join us:)!

Hi!

Rose, sorry I didn't log in yesterday, my computer at work was on the blink and then I just plain forgot!

I had a plan with my exercise so I had "joined class" just forgot to sign the book! hee hee

I had to get my car serviced, so I left it with the service centre and walked to the supermarket, did my weekly shopping and then walked back 1 hour later. So I got about 20 minutes walk and really enjoyed the chance to be outside enjoying the fresh air!

Today it's another sunny day, so I've brought my clothes to walk, and Marc's joining me here at 11.30am so we can go together. I've also planned to walk both days of the weekend, and will try my darndest to exercise every day. So far, it will be 3 days in a row today! :D

Rose, seeing as how we're here all alone at the moment, I'd like to get reaquainted with you if that's ok... So I'm going to tell you a bit about myself...

I'm 30, with my son Josh who's almost 5 and starts school next year. I'm engaged to Marc, and we've been together 1.5 years. He's from New Zealand and we met over the internet!!!
I'm an office administrator for my dad's computer software company, and am a fine artist - painter - at heart. We live in a 3 bedroom house 5 minutes south-east of Adelaide, with a white deaf cat Zepplin, a white dwarf rascally rabbit Scooter, and 6 fish! hee hee. We've just bought a Nissan Patrol 4 wheel drive and love getting outdoors...

I think that's enough for now.. oh, and obviously I love walking and food! hee hee

I've got about 40 kilos to lose (which is 88 pounds) and am 5.9" tall.

What about yourself?

Bye for now!

Hi Lynne,
It does seem like it's just you and me for the moment doesn't it? I'm sorry about not posting until now too. Work was so busy towards the end of the week I just didn't have the time:(! I did manage to do all my workouts this week. Tae Bo is awesome. I really like it. I'm thinking of purchasing another basic tape just for variety.

I think it's a great idea to get to know each other again. I think it's great that you met your sweetie on the internet. How neat and romantic. It sounds like you have a fabulous place and your cat sounds so sweet. Well I'm 40 years old and have one son who is 17. Boy is that a challenge;). Just wait until your little one is 17. I've been a single parent for 12 years and I'm very close to my son. He's an awesome football player and we're hoping he gets a college scholarship which would help out a whole lot seeing I'm living in an expensive area and really can't afford to send him. I do payroll and also budget for the place I work at. I've been at the same place for 15 years and don't ask me why because I couldn't really tell you:lol:. After my son graduates this year I'm hoping to move closer to my mother who lives to far from me right now for me to see her as often as I'd like. I am 5'8" and I need to lose at least 65 pounds. I'm making mini goals of 20 pounds. I really think that this plan of yours is helping me:D! I think if I can keep doing this for a few months then I'll really start losing weight. I usually workout after I get home from work. I think I'll have to change that soon because of my son's schedule with football so I might start working out in the AM. It must be nice to have someone to walk with. That would be great. I hope you had a great weekend. I'll post more tomorrow. It's my Tae Bo day again. I actually look forward to it :?: Okay Lynne, unti tomorrow let's keep moving.

If there is anyone out there lurking please jump in and join us!

Hi all!

Rose, don't apologise, I didn't get in either! :o

I did exercise on Saturday - when Marc and I were out nightclubbing... so I think I was just working off the alcohol! I did remember to drink with Diet Coke, but not sure whether that mattered in the end!

I'm about to go for a walk now... it's just on 1.30pm and the sun's occassionally coming out, so hopefully I won't get rained on!

Well done for all your workouts, I'm so impressed! I think I've done fairly well over the last few days, but can be improved.

You sound like you have a great life - I sometimes wish I was further away from my mother, my parents are driving me nuts at the moment! However, I know that if we move, I will miss them. We are a very close family, and this year I'll be missing the family christmas for the first time. We'll be over in New Zealand on our honeymoon, and will spend it with Marc's parents.

I'm glad what we're doing is helping you, I know it is for me! I love being able to come in here and get your support and know that we are doing this together. Hope you don't get sick of just my company! :^: Unfortunately I don't have a walking buddy, because when I go it's either at work, or from home at night and then Marc has to watch Josh. I must admit I look forward to when Josh is old enough to be at home on his own. But we're talking about having another baby in the next couple of years, so I guess that throws that out the window!

Well I better get this walk in, so I'll catch you later.

Thanks for being such a great exercise buddy!

Hi Lynne,

I'm glad you're my exercise buddy too:)! Maybe we'll inspire some others out there lurking to join us. You must be so excited about your wedding! It's coming around fast. I know you're right about the parent thing but I think it would be nice to be closer but not too close! Anyway I hope you got your walk in. I can't wait until tonight to do Tae Bo. I'll have to do it as soon as I get home or I won't do it I know that. I'll try to check back later tonight to post what I did but if not I'll post tomorrow. Take care and keep moving:)!

Hi Rose!

You wouldn't believe it, I've been sick AGAIN! This time with some wierd stomach thing that gave me a horrible migraine and tummy pains. So I was laid up for 2 days and couldn't eat much, and definitely no exercise!

The only good thing to come out of it was when I went to my weigh in last night I'd lost 3.1 KILOS!!!!!!!! (THAT'S 6.82 POUNDS!!!) :D :D And the cool thing is that there was only one day that I didn't eat at all, because yesterday I had two meals, so a lot of that loss WAS ME ON PROGRAM!!!!!

I'm still feeling sick and wobbly, but I've made it into work - I'm only going to do a 1/2 day, and then go home and relax!

Glad to hear you're doing well. I did get my walk in on Monday by the way. I'm walking so much faster and further than I used to, it's great.

Well, I'll see how I go today, but if I don't get a chance to post again, I'll catch up with you tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to go for a walk tomorrow, but I might even go for a dawdle around the block today, seeing as how the sun's out. I look as pasty as a doll today!

Hi Lynne,
I'm sorry to hear that you were sick:(! I hope you feel better soon. I was off of work yesterday with a really bad headache. But unfortunately it didn't ruin my appetite;)! I actually managed to do my Tae Bo and will try to do some tonight as well. I've got a long weekend coming up due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday. I'm really looking forward to it. Congrats on such awesome weight loss! You must be so happy! I know I would be. I'm feeling bloated with TOM right around the corner. I hate that. Hopefully it won't be one of those TOM's where you can't do anything but lay around and feel bad. I hope you get a chance to post. I'll definitely try to post more over the weekend from home. Until then keep up the great job with the walking and weight loss and feel better soon:)!

Hi My name is Tasha. I live in the Seattle area.
I was very interested what you had to say.
I'm looking for support/motivation group.
For the past 18 weeks I have been doing my Concept rower machine and weightraining.
It would just be nice to talk about my goals and downfalls with other people. I've never excercised in my life before this so I have bad and good days. This is a huge challenge for me.
I'm really not on a diet plan but am staying away from the bad stuff. I'm trying to drink my water.
Any advice you can offer would really really help me a great deal....
Look forward to meeting ya.....

Howdy!

Firstly, welcome to Shasta! It's great to see a new face around here! You said you want advice, but to me it sounds like you've got the right idea already! :D As for support and motivation, you've got it! We are trying to follow a plan where we exercise together 3 times a week, as well as any other that we can manage. I'm trying to make sure I do something every day, even if it's 15 minutes of jiggling on the spot! So glad to have you here, and I'm sure you'll be as much help to us as we are to you! :)

Rose, thanks for the well wishes. I'm starting to feel a bit better. I've just been very blah, but I think the antibiotics are finally kicking in - I actually slept all through the night last night!
So guess what? Because it looked like raining today, I went for my walk this morning (still from work, not at the crack of dawn!)! I'm feeling so much better for it. We moved our furniture around on the weekend, so that was about it for exercise otherwise!

I love it when I can get the exercise done in the morning - don't have to worry about it later when all tired and so over it all!

I hope your headache's gone and you are having a good long weekend. I know what you mean about TOM, but hopefully it won't last too long. I think the worst thing is you feel so bloated and heavy and are sure you've gained 10 million pounds and nothing will ever make you lose weight! So hang in there, and I'll keep the class going! heee hee

Well, must get to it, so I'll talk to you both lighter!
Lynne

Hey, guess what? It just started raining! Ha! Got you rain gods! Thought you could stop me? Ha! hee hee

Hello Lynn and Rose:
How are you both doing??
I hope you guzs feel better today.
Well today is a new week.
I'm so excited I just bought Denise Austin's Blast away 10 lbs. Okay it looks challenging but I think I can do it, hopefully in a couple weeks I'll be in top form...hehe...
SO I'm going to alternate it with the rowing and wt. training.
I have a question with the weigh training. I'm really over weight, somebody told me it's not good to do that cuz it can build mass out of your fat but according to covert baily it is changing my body into a lean mean fat fighting machine! Let me know what ya guzs think.
So today is rower day! and my weightraining.
Well I hope you guzs get your excercise in :-)
Rose I was wondering are you seeing results with Taebo??? I'm just trying to get some ideas of a good cross-training program.
Talk to ya soon.

Good morning people! :D

I'm joining class this morning with the promise to do my walk this afternoon. I feel very motivated because I AM STARTING TO SEE RESULTS!! My clothes are getting looser! WOOO HOOO!! :D :) :D :)

Josh (my 4 1/2 year old son) has 10 pin bowling this afternoon, but I'll be going for a walk before that. Would love to bowl as well but we have to watch our money at the moment, saving up for the wedding / honeymoon.

Rose, how's it going, hope to hear from you soon.

Shasta, you sound so motivated, it's great. Just about weight training, you do have to be careful on a couple of counts - 1) you don't want to strain muscles that aren't used to it!, and 2) definitely need to keep it low key, to avoid bulking up, and focus more on aerobic activity to burn fat. When I was losing weight last time I used to do 20 minutes on treadmills etc, and then about 20 minutes of low-impact weights, just to help tone. What's the "blast away 10lbs" thing? Haven't heard of that one. I'm in Aussie, so you guys have lots of stuff we don't... more's the pity!

I'm off to a wine lunch today, but luckily I don't drink much wine and the food's okay, so it won't affect my program.

Have a great day!
Lynne

Hi Ladies:wave:!

Welcome Shasta:D! I'm so glad to see a new person joining us. Now let's see as for your weight lifting question it is good to do a combination of both weight lifting and cardio. Cardio burns calories while weight lifting gives you muscles that helps you burn more calories even still. I think the cardio/weight lifting combo is a great one and you will definitely see results. Some say no just do cardio and then others say just do strength but I think the two on alternate days is the best combo. I actually have Denise's lose the last 10 pounds but I needed a more challenging cardio so I opted for Tae Bo. I'm just doing the basic tape right now but is sure is a challenge. Then on alternate days I use my Total gym for strength training. I hope this has helped a little. I hope you can post more often then I do:dizzy: I'll try to post more often.

Lynne-Great job on getting the walk in:)! Doesn't it feel good? I know I feel so much better when I do Tae Bo. It was a challenge yesterday (Monday) but I managed to work it in. I'm glad I did. Tonight is my Total Gym night. I'm looking forward to it. Although I still have this annoying headache. It goes away and then comes back. I wish it would make up it's mind:mad: . Well it's almost time for me to check out of work so I'll try to write more tomorrow. Keep up the great job with the exercise.

Hi Rose & Lynne:
How ya all doing today??
Thanks for the warm welcome rose! It's helping me this newfound motivation.
Thank you both for advice on the cardo & strength training. It just helps out so much to take advice from ppl who know.
I usually do 20 minutes of the rower and 20 minutes of strength training with my dumbells, their only three pounds so hopefully i'm just toning. I have a kickboxin/weighttraining expert, (my husbands friend) he's been coaching me on the side but I wanted to get a ladies advice...doube checking...:-) You understand right.
I feel so good though these past few weeks. I'm getting extra energy from somewhere.
Tomorrow is denise' workout tape...I'm trying to alternate them to give me a variety. This is the first time I'm doing this so I'm hoping to see some inches come off. I was doing only three times a week but this week is my first week I bumped it to five...we'll see how the week goes, espeically now that I added some aerobics in there. I have seen seen a few inches come off since I started though. THen my sister's came from Alaska for a visit and I wasn't able to do it for a few weeks....but I hope to start off where I left off. So this is my second week ...on my program again...I am proud though that I've excercised since May 20th though.
Well keep up the good work rose on your taebo, and your total gym. I think I will try taebo, once I get used to denise.
Lynne keep up with the walking....I"m so happy your losing....WOOOHOOO YEAH LYNNE!!!!!!
It's so nice to get to know the two of you. I'm so happy to be a part of this group!!!!!!
Well you guzs have a great evening or day...
See ya tomorrow ;-)

Goooooowed morning!!! :D

I am feeling soooo good today! I went for my walk yesterday and then did a bit more aerobics last night. My clothes are definitely getting looser and I even wore a top yesterday that I haven't in about a year!

Being sick was really good for me because not only did it get me off food for a while, but helped me break that junk food cycle and really be healthy. And now that I've had a decent loss, I am more determined!

I've brought my walking clothes to work again. It's a lovely spring day, so I'd hate to miss the chance to get outdoors for a bit.

Rose, so glad to hear you're keeping up the Tae Bo - I've heard it's really physical, and I'm impressed that you're doing it! Have fun with your Total Gym - what is it again? I hope your headache goes away - I have them all the time and they suck! :(

Shasta, apart from all this wonderful exercise, what else are you doing? Are you (and Rose) following any weight loss food programs or anything? I'm doing Weight Watchers. And where abouts are you - where's WA?

Well, I'm off to attempt to do some work - it's hard when I'm looking out on such a lovely day...

Bye for now!

Hi Rose & Lynne:
Hey ladies, how we all doing today?
Just got thru doing my denise Austin tape. I admit I can't really do the high impact stuff but at least it's burning calories. I'm doing the best I can do through it. I went to bed early and I feel so much better. SInce december I've been trying to change my schedule around, I've done nighshift for so long. That's where I gained a ton of weight. I was overweight before all this but nights didn't help me. My eating schedule was very erratic so i'm thinking that's why metabolism really slowed down. Plus I never excercised, I was always tired. But, i'm turning over a new leaf.
Since May I have lost a total of 2-3 inches all over. I try and measure every month.
I am trying this low calorie diet on dietsite.com!
I finally bought a scale.
I'm trying hard to drink my water...My goal for the next two weeks is to drink 88oz. I was up to 96 oz. but I backslid ;-)
I'm excited to see my prgress in the next few weeks. That's the hardest part I guess, weighting for the results. So my goal every week is to excercise five times a week!

ROSE: keep up the good work on Taebo. That's my next goal is to try Taebo. Hope your headaches get better...yuck. Where do u work?

Lynne: That must be such a good feeling your clothes getting lose and fitting into clothes back in the closet!!!!! Good job on walking and aerobics!!!! Is weight watchers very expensive? Were on a budget so I'm really trying to save us money. JOhn works at microsoft. He has given me some time for myself to work on getting healthy, but hopefully next year I want to start school for Medical transcription. Weve just been married 1 yr. 1/2. so still newlyweds ;-) Enjoying this time to ourselves. Before I hardly saw the poor guy. Where do you work Lynne?

I'm oringally from Alaska, grew up there...now live on th eastside of Seattle. :-) Wa = Washington :-)

Hope you guzs have a smashing evening!
Are you burning those Calories???

Hi guys!

Rose, I wonder where Nona went to? I hope she drops in soon. How are you going? Hope the Tae Bo hasn't killed you! heee hee

Shasta, again, I have to remark on your enthusiasm and motivation - buying scales, changing your routine, it's good to see that you're so committed to making the changes. You hear of some people who want to lose weight but never really change much and then wonder why not! Well done for getting through your program and keeping up the water and exercise. I agree that you feel a lot better when being physical. Apart from anything I sleep a lot better, as well as overall health and attitude. WW is not too bad - it's $15.95 per week after joining fee, but I'm not sure how much it is your side of the world. And the benefits are endless, as far as what I've learnt about food. I can't go on enough about it. I used to think the program sucked because it doesn't tell you what to eat, in a menu, like Jenny Craig, but in fact they do have suggested menu plans, as well as an overall food guide, so you can either follow theirs, alter theirs to suit your needs, or just follow your own. As long as you eat all the necessary food groups and stick within the point range allowed for your body size, you can pretty much do anything you want. I've learnt to appreciate being able to do my own menus, because it's teaching me how to look after myself, rather than follow someone else's food plan until goal weight and then falling apart cos you haven't learnt anything, which is what happened when I did Jenny Craig a few years ago.... Sorry I'm harping on again! :o
What does your husband do at MS? And what is Medical Transcription? Congrats on your marriage - we get married in Dec.
I'm an Office Administrator, but also an artist, just never seem to find the time to do anything. I work for my dad's computing company, which designs software for retail systems.
What's it like living in WA compared to Alaska? And what do you do?

Back to my progress.... I weighed in last night and was up by .7 kilo (1.54 pounds), but that was to be expected after last week's unusually high loss from sickness. Overall, I've lost about 2.5 kilos in the last 2 weeks (5.5 pounds) so I'm happy! :D I'm aiming to lose 1 kilo a week until the wedding, which will be about 12 kilos in total (26.4 pounds). Which would be SOOOO GOOOD!!!
I got my walk in yesterday, and felt great. It's another beautiful spring day today, so will go for another one this afternoon. Definitely benefitting from the loss. I worked out that I've lost about 6 centimetres off my thighs!!! And about 1cm everywhere else. So it's allllll gooooodd!!!

Hope you're having a great day and catch up later!

Hi Rose & Lynne:

How are you today? I hope great!
I did it. Today is my 4th day of excercising. I did 21 minutes of my rowing machine and 20 minutes of weightraining. I always feel so good after my weightraining. I am really amazed at how much better I feel though. I wish I would of done this 5 days a week thing sooner. Maybe my body is finally getting over that plateau. This is so motivating for me though to come here and let you guzs know....I measure myself on the 20th so I'm hoping to see some results. The hard part is waiting....The benefits though are so worth it. I sleep much better and breathe so much better and no nerve problems.

Lynne: Congrats on getting married! That must be so exciting for ya. It must be so nice to be losing weight before big day! I'm so happy for you, losing weight, it must be so neat though, all your hard work is paying off. I'm cutting the junk out of my diet. It's not so easy but I'm getting there. I try to drink my water before I have a diet pop, hopefully one day i won't even drink diet pop. I'm finding little things like that are helping me. Now I cut the really high fat things out like the icecream, chips, chocalate, etc. I'm trying to snack more on veggies and fruit. I think my choices are alot healthier now. John is a programmer there at the gaming zone. Medical transcriptionist just transcribes doctor's notes. Right now I'm just enjoying staying home w/john for a change. I've worked as nursing assistant for the past three years so really we havn't really had that time together because I worked nightshift, so I'm enjoying our time together. Of course getting healthy again, I feel so much better mentally and physically. Alaska and Washington for the most part are very similiar but Alaska of course you have more nature feeling to it. I really miss my family and friends, to be honest i really don't think I can live in a small island again. Not after this great city life...hehe. Great job on the weightloss and walking!!!!!!!!

Rose: Keep up the work on Taebo!!!!!! and your total gym!!!! What is the total gym??? I'm very curious now. I've been doing weightraining since about June or so. I'm seeing some really positive results thus far. Hope all is good with ya rose.

Okay ladies....have a great evening/great day. KEEP burning those calories!!!!

Hi Lynne and Shasta:wave:!

I know I've been gone for a while but it's been so hectic at work and TOM is here giving me the worst cramps. I did absolutely no form of exercise last night. And tonight I doubt if I will either because my son has a football game so it will be late when I get home. I looks like I'll be doing some over the weekend:)!

Shasta-It sounds like you're doing great:)! I really like Tae Bo. Now if I can just watch what I'm eating I'd be doing great! The total gym is the one that's on the infomercial with Christy Brinkley and Chuck Norris. It's like this board you lay on or sit on and pull yourself with and you can make it lower and higher to increase the resistance which is based on your own body weight. Does that make sense? If you want to see it go to www.totalgym.com and they have pictures of it on there. I got the cheaper model though.

Lynne-You are doing so great:)! I feel so fat today with this bloating from TOM:mad:! Hopefully it will be over soon. Tae Bo hasn't killed me yet. I did work out on Weds but last night I was soooooooooo lazy. When in December are you getting married? I love December. It must be so exciting. I'm not sure where NONA has gotten to. I sure hope she checks in too and that nothing is wrong.

NONA ARE YOU OUT THERE? PLEASE CHECK IN!

Okay I'm off. The days almost over at work but the night has just begun. I'll check in this weekend. Keep moving:D!

Hi Rose & Lynne:

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. I did my denise Austin tape, I last thru 20 minutes with only stopping once. I can really feel it working my thighs and calves. Wheww, burning that fat.
The five times a week excercising has really made a huge difference for me, I can really feel it in my energy level. It's gone thru the roof. I lost an inch on my hips and thighs. I was happy with that ;-) Can't wait to measure next month.
Goal for this week is to excercise five days!!!!

Rose: Good job with the taebo and total gym...boy that total gym looks great, I do remember seeing it on TV. Hope your feeling better. Keep up the good work ;-)

Lynne: CONGRATS on losing those Cm's and pounds! It must be so rewarding to know your hard work is paying off!!!!!! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!! You will look so fabulous on your wedding day!!!!!

Keep burning those Calories ladies.....
Talk to ya Monday!!!!!

Take Care,
SHASTA

Hi all

I'm going to keep this short, because I'm at work and have heaps of work to do.

The weekend was a disaster for my program! Marc and I had a few drinks on Friday night, which was ok, but then had the munchies at 2am and pigged on dim sims. So I thought, ok, I'll have to adjust on Saturday, so I did, but missed the exercise. Did heaps of housecleaning, so probably wasn't as bad as I think. However, on Sunday, Josh had 2 birthday parties to go to, and I ate quite a few party pies. And then had the parents around for dinner last night and ate lots of yummy but not so healthy stuff, and again no exercise.

So now I feel like a bloated pig with a headache from too many late nights! :o I'm going to go for a nice long walk today and will eat lightly to try and make up for it. I think I'll be making up for it for the rest of the week!!!! I hope it doesn't affect my weigh in....

I am glad to say though that I exercised 5 DAYS IN A ROW last week, and will do the same again this week, so I'm proud of myself for that.

Shasta, sounds like you feel the same as me. It's amazing how much better we feel for it - it's quite addictive!
Just as a point of interest, according to Weight Watchers, diet softdrinks, cordials, etc, are point-free. ie. they are not fattening. Because it's soda water (which is just fizzy water) and artificial flavouring, it's nothing. So as far as WW is concerned you can drink the stuff to your heart's content, as long as you still have your water. Alternatively you can mix soda water with any diet cordial you want. I love all this stuff that I've learnt. The ironic thing is that I don't like diet coke much, but have it when desperate, but by getting used to that, I find coke too much now! I had one on Saturday for the first time in ages. I tend to have a low fat choc milk these days if I want something a bit yummy!
I've lived in the same city my whole life, so I'm dying to get out. Hopefully we'll be moving in the next 2-5 years, to New Zealand or Canada.
Congrats on your loss of inches - it's a great feeling isn't it??!! :D

Rose I know what you mean about TOM - I've got that coming up soon and I hate that feeling! You feel that no matter how well you eat or exercise you're STILL FAT! It's very deceptive.
We're getting married 15th December, and hoping for a really nice day. Sometimes can be a bit dodgy, either raining or really hot, so I hope it'll be somewhere in between! It would fully suck walking around in a big wedding dress in the middle of a 40degree day!!!

Well, must be orf....

Talk to you all soon

Hi everyone:wave:!

Well I'm sorry to say I didn't do one bit of exercise after Friday. TOM was way too bad this time:mad:! Tonight I will have to do my Tae Bo. I find that the longer between workouts the harder it is for me to do. I would really like to do Tae Bo everyday. That sounds like a good idea.

Shasta-Way to go on the inch loss.:)! You must be so happy. I think it's great that you've been working out five days a week. I think that does make a difference. I'm going to try that this week too. Thanks for the motivation.

Lynne-At first I didn't see your post because we're on two pages. How about starting a new thread? What do you think? Well as you can see by my post I'm in the same boat as you are! I guess the important thing is to get up and just start over again and try to do the best we can. I feel so tired during TOM. I have to take iron and I keep forgetting to. I get anemic really quickly. I know there is no excuses for not working out but between headaches and TOM it's been really hard. Hopefully this week will be better:D! I'm glad to see your post:)!
Okay I have to get back to work. Talk to you all later.

hello Rose & Lynne:

How's you? I hope good.
I know we must go thru days when we think, okay today is not the day! Lately since I started this five day week of excercise, it's only my second week so...I think of that saying " Don't let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's achievements!" Today is a new week girls. Today I did 22 minutes of my rower and 20 minutes of weightraining. I upped my rower time by one minute, I can tell it's going to take some getting used to but at least I did it..hehe....I'm trying to think of my five day's of excercise day by day or else I might get to overwelmed if I keep thinking of it. Today is nice day here in Seattle, I might try and go for a stroll later with my sister. My weekend was alright. Tackled the stuff I couldn't get to earlier in the week. I was a good girl but still feel guilty about friday, went to my aunt's house, of course she had goodies galore but I made up for it saturday and sunday, no goodies then.
New week so time to look straight ahead :-)

Rose: It's okay about givin yourself a break cuz of tom, especially if you have anemia! We all have days where we just need a break. That's so good you want to do TAEBO every day though, proud of ya!!!!! New goal-new WEEK right. Let's Do it ROSE!

Lynne: Hey girl! Well I'm going to say it's okay to five yourself a break once in awhile. Today is a new day, a new week, a new goal. I'm trying hard as well not to be hard on myself , i was bad on friday but like i said new week ...hehe:-) I think housecleaning counts!!!! THat could be real work sometimes. Hope you enjoy your walk today. That will be such a nice adventure for ya to live in New zealand or canada! It's so fun getting to know a new place. I don't do so good in hot weather, being from Alaska might have something to do with it but at the same time I don't like cold weather...hehe...I grew up in Southeast Alaska...so none of this minus degree weather stuff. I think that's why I love seattle except for this hot days we have, but I've survived so far...hehe.....do you have any children?? Just curious...Well let's get movtivated lynne!!!!!!!

Have a nice evening/day !!! BUrn those calories ladies ;-)
