Smile Thoroughly Core Thursday Menu, June 16

b: english muffin (2pts) w/ just a little bit of butter and jelly (probably only 1pt), green grapes
l: salad and turkey sandwich on ww bread (2pts), pineapple lush
d: fazoli's ww penne w/marina and shrimp (1pts) and probably a breadstick (3pts)
s: pineapple lush

That's a lot of points for today. But yesterday I think that I only used 1. So I guess I'm making up for it.
9 pts for today, 20 since Monday? That's a lot! I'll have to double check that.

b: hot oat bran cereal, banana & strawberries, milk
l: Burger King hamburger, core cornbread, milk
s: five soft spice bars (like chewy gingersnaps)
d: two soft tacos (homemade), corn, milk

OK, I've edited this to reflect what I actually ate today. Geesh, it's not so good!

Okay here goes:

Breakfast: okay just realized I have a 9 am meeting - NOT GOOD as I usually eat when I get to work (8:30 or so?)...might have to eat at home?? 2 scrambled eggs, milk

Snack: banana, decaf w/light cream

Lunch: Dreaded bbq # 1 (there are 2 more planned for the coming weeks!). Have pre-ordered chicken on a bun - will try to add lots of veggies, probably diet soda - and NO CHIPS OR ICE CREAM OR CAKE.....

Snack: fruit, sf/ff yogurt

Dinner: tbd

Frouf

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED!

Breakfast: got to work at 8:30 am - swallowed a sf/ff mango yogurt only to find out meeting was cancelled.
Very hungry went to coffee shop for COFFEE AND ONLY BOUGHT COFFEE (this was hard as I could see the yummy cinammon buns and muffins all lined up in the glass case). Had 1/2 c. cottage cheese w/fruit and soon to consumer a banana.

My strategy is not to be HUNGRY when I get to the bbq at noon!

Later....

Breakfast: Oatmeal made with skim and 1/2 cup homemade applesauce cooked in

Lunch: Carne Asada (about 4 ounces), guacamole, 10 chips (points), salsa, mushrooms and onions

Snack: Decaf Iced Coffee, black with Splenda from Dunkin Donuts

Dinner: I'm having super thin crust pizza with fresh garlic and mushrooms. I've had a very stressful day and am choosing to splurge all or most of my points on pizza. I don't do this very often but feel it will comfort me and then I can move on.

Probably nothing after this except for hot decaf tea with milk and splenda.

Tomorrow, back to fruit and veggies.

OK I need to have an honest edit....tonight I had the ww penne (despite DH's suggestion of Chinese--that is discipline!) w/marinara, but had TWO breadsticks and a serving of Edy's Light Cookies n' Creme Ice cream. And it was darned good. But I am done and w/i is tomorrow. Nothing else tonight except for water!!!!! I promise!!!

...and I am here to confess that while my dinner was not core (small bowl of leftover kraft dinner, 4 pieces of baguette w/lf turkey breast, 2 nectarines) I really felt I did not overeat and I did stop when satisfied.

That's what I get for going shopping after work and coming home ravenous and eating whatever I see first!

Frouf

P.S. I did go for a 20 min walk, but got "rained out" and had to get a ride home.
