Default Newbie here....

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to join in and say that my sister and I just started on the diet today. I'm a little bit apprehensive cause I don't know what to expect, all I know is that I am tired of trying a diet and failing because of the strictness of it. I am 29 and have been on countless diets in the past, unfortunately, the weight would come off, but then would come back with a vengence. I am the heaviest I have ever been now, and I need something that will help me become healthy. So, if you guys have any suggestions, any words of wisdom, infact, any sort of success stories you would like to share, that would be great! I need all the encouragement I can get....

Thanks!!
Kathy

Welcome to the beach, KathyZ!

I am pretty new myself and just in the second week of SBD. I haven't found that this diet makes me crave more food the way weight watchers did. I am looking at it as a plan for life to lose weight, keep my heart healthy and prevent diabetes.

Jodi is right: there is LOTS of support here. We are all in this together!

Hi Kathy!
I'm on day two without any expectations or hopes at this point. But physically I feel very good, and I don't have the cravings I normally get on starchy diets.

Good luck!!

Hi Kathy (and sister) Welcome to our beach. Pull up a lounger under the umbrella and the cabanna-boy will be around soon

Of course, the cabana boy just brings lots of water rather than sissy drinks with umbrellas . . .

Hey Kathy, I'm new too. I'm a SBD success and well dropout, but I know it works. In October I was down 17#, felt soooo good about myself, was never hungry or felt deprived. Had a bad showing over the holidays, alot of stress at home, and I'm back on board. I logged on, registered here, was inspired and took a 4 mile hike because I knew I wasn't alone today. I think it'll be a great tool. Good luck! *Sweetie*
