SUNDAY: Today is Silly Poll Sunday and here is this weeks poll:

You got picked for a game show on TV, which one is it?
Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, Shop Til You Drop, Supermarket Sweep, Lingo, or Jeopardy?

Dot: Ok as far as the cardio glider is concerned here is my assessment. It will work out the heart, and upper body only. You get nothing for your, butt, legs etc. It is not a bad machine at all, just limited as to what it will do like a lot of machines that concentrate only on one thing.

As for me, I am a Jeopardy and trivia nut all the way so that is the show I would want to be on.

I got another 4 yesterday. We are going to clean carpets this am and then go to the gym when it opens at 1PM. I am sore today but I think it is because rain moved into the area. I always feel the effects of that when it happens.

**LEST WE FORGET....THERE IS A GIFT CARD UP FOR GRABS, GIRLS SO LET'S WORK HARD SO WE CAN SHOPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!

Check back later, chickies!

Morning ladies!
4 points again yesterday........that makes 5 days in a row!! Woo hoo......
The scale is still in the same general range, but at the lower end right now. (I fluctuate between 218 and 220 constantly). Someone mentioned to me about eating fruit to shock your system into losing weight again. I was doing that back in the summer and fall when I was losing, then I started leaning more towards the protein and have been doing that most of the winter. Maybe my body has adjusted to the protein and now needs to be shocked again. I think I'll try loading up on the fruit for a while. It can't hurt, I already get tons of fiber  Maybe that will be the jolt I need to get the weight loss going again.

I've been talking to people the past couple of days who have been telling me that they've been depressed and crying for no reason as well. Maybe it's just a cosmic thing happenin'.......or maybe it's just a northern thing, it's been so cold for so long we're sunshine deprived. Who knows? At least I know I'm not crazy, I'm not alone.

Well, gotta fly.........If I were going on a game show, I'd want to do something physical like Survivor or that old show American Gladiator. Of course, I'd need like a YEAR to get ready for it!!

See you all tomorrow!
Julie

I got 2 points yesterday - exercise and water only.

If I ever went on a TV gameshow (haven't heard of half the ones you've mentioned Faye!) - I would go on 'who wants to be a millionaire?' - I've been tempted to ring in because I can usually answer the questions up to £32,000 - £64,000 - I'm just too shy!. Some people will do anything to get on TV - well I am the complete opposite! I figure that if I was to put myself through the trauma of going on TV, at least I want the chance to win 1 million pounds!!! :dizzy:

Keep up the hard work everyone!

I am not quick, so I think Millionaire would be the best one for me. I always loved the Newlywed game when I was a kid, I don't know what it is, just kind of funny to see people guess how well they know eachother. They should have a game like that for friends, boyfriends etc..I would like that the best.

I got 0 points yesterday. But I did get some studying done. 2 weeks in a row with 4 points M-F, then a big blow-out on saturday. Whats a girl to do?

Amanda, i have'nt heard of half of those shows either  i think it would be 'the price is right' for me.

Kim, i'm glad that my "advice" helped someone ;) it really does help to get out of the house tho' when you are feeling really down and window shopping is'nt bad and its even better when you can buy :s:

Off to exercise..i'll be back later to let you know what i've done

Yikes, girls, I forgot about Amanda and Cat might not have seen the american game shows. Those were the only ones I could remember. I know the Brits used to have this sort of like reality show where you did stunts to win money or something and it was hilarious! (Saw it on BBC America once)

Hi All,
I got 2 pts fri and 4 pts Sat. I've got this head cold so my eyes are watering real bad, can't see the computer screen that well!
Did some walking yesterday, my knee didn't hurt. I wonder if that glucosamine that I am taking is really helping or if something popped back into placre on its own. I have been in constant pain since April---this is a huge relief. I am going to buy new walking shoes with some of the income tax refund I will be getting this week.
For the poll, it would have to be Wheel of Fortune. Word games like that I can do--anything else with speed, forget it.
Off to motivate ds to clean his room!!!!

Judy :dancer: :bravo: for points. My suggestion for shoes are New Balance. I am totally flat footed and so have all the problems associated with that. Jack has worn them for years and swears by them. He bought me a pair of New Balance last year when I started on my program and they are spectacular. If you have a Rack Room in your area, they carry last years models so are fairly reasonable. I think I paid about $45 for mine and I would have paid a $145 for how they really helped me. My feet didn't hurt when I walked and before if I walked any distance, they would ache terribly because of my arch bone coming in contact with the pavement, floor, whatever. I won't ever buy anything else ever again.

Please let me know if any of you hear from Pam. I have sent her e-mails every day since the 19th and she had not read any of them so I am concerned. I know she can e-mail from work as well as home so that is why I am so worried that we haven't heard a peep from her.

Take care and have a good evening!

Good evening everyone! Its been a busy weekend which is why I wasn't here. Friday was a 4 point day; Saturday a 3 point day (no exercise) and today is a 3 point day (no exercise). I just didn't have time to squeeze in a workout and an extra shower yesterday. Today is my day off - I know I could have made up that missed workout but I've been really tired. I may try to squeese that focus abs & glutes exercise in this week sometime...maybe on the yoga day or pilates day!

Been busy with a petsitting client all weekend. Yesterday I had to cook for a couple hours for my DH's work Christmas party last night. I didn't overeat at all...did have a couple sodas though - my first caffinated stuff since Jan 4th! Actually, it didn't even taste good!

The scale is STILL not moving, but my body fat has gone down one more point - so I guess I'll take those two points loss happily! Its better than nothing! DH says he notices a difference in my hips so I guess that's another plus.

I had a big ego boost last night. I had left the party to go take care of some pets. While I was gone, DH and some friends of ours were discussing chest implants, lasik surgery, etc. DH mentioned that I would love to go on Extreme Makeover and have a bunch of stuff done. One guy I had only just met was astounded and told my DH that I was beautiful - why would I want to do that!??? WOW - when he told me that, I think I blushed! But it felt goooood!

I think I'd rather go on Wheel or Family Feud or something like that. I think I'd like to try something extreme like Fear Factor or Survivor, just to say I tied. I'd never win in either of those shows, but it be fun to try!

Well, I better get going! Hope everyone comes back and checks in soon! I miss hearing how everyone is doing!

What a morning, we got about 5 inches of snow last night, not used to that this winter, first big snow....hard to get to work...

Faye - I read that you bought some new scales - what kind were they and about how much? I need to get some that are going to be correct - the ones I have now fluctuate so much it is hard to know what you really weigh...

Julie - It is very common for people to get depressed in the Winter, very common. I had clinical depression ( and on meds ) for years, and although I am no longer on them, I still have trouble in the winter...it has to do with being stuck in the house and not having all the sunlight that we have in the other seasons...hope you feel better...

Judy - I am a little late but sorry to hear about the job...keep trying...

Amanda - This is also late but on the WW thing, I joined last year and I have always loved it - when I was following it faithfully I was dropping like 2 pounds per week, steady...I ended up just going to like 6 meetings and then doing it myself at home and I was fine...just my two cents...

Pam - where are ya? Miss Ya ( and Lisa too! )

Dot, Gigglez, Kim, Cat, and anyone I missed - have a great day!! You all are doing a great job -
I was OP all weekend but no exercise, so 3 points both days...

Good morning, fun ladies! Hope everyone had a good weekend. I can't beleive it is monday so soon! I was good last night, got into bed at 9, asleep by 10. So even though I am groggy at 5 am, I know by 8 I should be functional! I have never gotten up so early!

3 pts for me for yesterday. Weekends are a plan-killer, yesterday I missed the water.

Mission: I am so addicted to reading or watching TV when I eat, I've got a long way to go before I give that up. I wonder what it is that makes it so pleasurable to eat and veg out at the same time?!? I LOVE IT!

Good luck today everybody, I know you can do it!

Good Morning Lovelies!

Another grand 4 pointer day yesterday!!! Six in a row........I'm going to see just how long I can keep this up. :D

Carrie, do you realize that you're only 6 points away from reaching me! It's only been a few weeks, but you're on fire! Then again, I'm hoping to do some serious F:censored: ing with my body this week to get it losing again. I'm loading up on the fruit and raw veggies as much as I can, even though that is NOT what my body wants to eat in the winter! I want starch and protein and hot stuff. Which is what I have been eating (except the starch) and I think my body has just adjusted to it. Time to SHOCK!

I went to my martial arts practice last night and noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in my stamina. Normally I fight for about 15 to 20 minutes and I want to quit. Last night, I kept at it for about 45 minutes without a break and ended up continuing for the full 3 hour practice without many breaks. I may not be losing poundage from hitting the treadmill hard last week, but I'll take that stamina gains! So, I'm keeping with the 50 minute treadmill sessions this week. Perhaps that combined with the new eating will make something happen on the scale.

LisaZ--I know how frustrated you are about the scale.....I'm right there with you babe! I'm ready to chuck the thing right out the window!!! Just keep at it, sooner or later something's got to happen.

I read somewhere recently the best reason for not giving up when it seems like you're not getting anywhere or when you've gotten off track. Basically, you KNOW that if you quit this time, you'll be back. Time has proven for all of us that we will try and try and try over and over and over again to lose weight. So, if we know we're going to end up right back here........why quit in the first place?? At least if we keep at it we haven't lost any ground. That rang true for me because I've always ended up quitting whatever program I was on, usually out of boredom. Then I'd end up right back at it, only with even MORE weight to lose. It's different this time! I've been at this now since July.......and I'm still motivated.

So, for those of us who are stalled........don't give up! You'll just end up back here in a year or so anyway

Well, gotta go walk now.

Stay :strong:
Julie

POINTS POINTS POINTS:

Carri :cp: :cp:
Kim :cp:
Me :bravo:

Carri: I bought them at Bed Bath and Beyond, THINNER brand, body fat and scales and paid $60. I wanted the same thing in the TANITA brand, but it only goes up to 300lbs so had to take this one. It had a 4 lbs difference between that and the other digital scales I had at home and when I step on them, I weigh the same every time instead of it jumping around. The one thing I will say is it depends on how you stand on them as to how you will weigh. Make sure you stand on them so that heels and toes don't hang over or they will weigh less.

Kim: Here are suggestions for eating in front of tv or reading if you CANNOT give that up. Use a smaller plate and make your meal in the kitchen, discard the rest in the trash or sink so you won't go for seconds, if it is a snack, get out one serving and put the rest away instead of taking the bag to the tv with you, and drink a whole glass of water before eating or snacking and it will make you feel fuller before you even start.

Have a great day girls, will check in later.

good morning ladies,
I didn't get any points yesterday---I just plain got mad at life and shut down for a day. I have been so frustrated and upset with things that are happening around me, things I can't control. I have a friend, diabetic with some complications, that is going through a real rough time. He has recently discovered he has prostate cancer and they are going to remove his prostate next week. He lives alone and is devastated by all this. I am afraid he is almost suicidal. He has no family or good friends close by. I don't live close enough to be a daily help to him, but I am going to visit with him this weekend to get his house ready, grocery shop do whatever he needs to have done before his surgery and then I plan to visit after his surgery maybe every couple of days after work to make sure he is ok. I feel frustrated I can't do any more for him. LIfe can be so unfair---I know I'm whining, but I am at a loss as to how to comfort him, if there even is a way.
Anyway thanks for listening and I plan to be back on program today.

Well, just got in my 50 minutes on the treadmill.......gonna be a good day! Still have dance class tonight, too.

Judy--I'm sure your friend appreciates all you are doing for him! Sometimes you don't have to be there every day, he'll still think about you everyday when he sees the fridge full of healthy food, and the house a little neater and what ever else you can do for him. Life's not fair, and sometimes you just get knocked down over and over. I had a whole YEAR like that in 1990! Divorces and pregnancy and gall bladders and knee surgery--oh my!

Talk to you all later,
Julie

Our prayers are with him and you too. I know it is hard when you aren't near by. Don't worry about a missed day, you can do better today.

Dot: Do you have YMCA where you are? The price is right believe me. We payed a one time joining fee of $45 (though the joining fee is usually $90) then for a family (anyone over 1 member) is $46 a month or one adult is $35 and you can't beat that especially since you can use it an any YMCA. They have lots of free classes you can join, lots of them have pools either indoor or outdoor and a lot of them have free babysitting service for us to two hours also, which I think is nice if you have kids.

Well, I better go. Just wanted to peek in!

Hi Girls!

I got 3 points yesterday - didn't fit in any exercise.

Everyone is doing really well with the exercise at the moment - it's true that regular exercise builds up your energy levels. I had another good walk today - walked a bit faster and really felt my heart pumping. Now that I have given up smoking, I'm really looking forward to becoming really fit!

I'm thinking of going to weightwatchers tomorrow - wish me luck, I feel quite nervous!

Judy - Sorry to hear about your friend. I'm sure your visit will be a real help to him.

TUESDAY: Today is Target Tuesday and this week we are going to target snacks/habit foods and drinks. Are you one of those people who HAVE to have your Starbucks every morning? Do you always grab a Krispy Kreme on your way to work? How about at home, does watching tv automatically mean popping popcorn. We need to break the cycle of habit foods this week. Work on driving a different route to work, buy a new CD or tape for the car and listen to it, if you eat habit at home, sit in a different chair, hold onto something while you watch tv. Many of the habits we have CAN be broken. Set up a jar at home and for every time you DON'T eat or drink your habit, put that amount in the jar. Commit to it then go and buy yourself something nice at the end of each month!

Morning chickies!

4 points for me yesterday....7 in a row. Sure seems like longer

I'm so frustrated with this scale thing. But now that I look at it, I have only been truly working at this for 7 days. So, I'm going to give myself another 7 days and if I'm still not losing, gonna have to do some tweaking!

Well, gotta take the kids to school. It's another sunny, sub-zero kinda day. Any idea how annoying it is to look out at that beautiful sunshine and know that it's not safe to go enjoy it???? At these temps, your eyeball slime actually freezes....and frostbite is a serious health issue.

But, it's supposed to warm up to the 20's by the end of the week. :crossed:

Good Mornin All,
I get 4 points for yesterday!! I did a few laps around the mall while my son hit all the video/electronic stores looking for a playstation game. Goofy child would see me across the walkway and stand and wave at me with a huge grin on his face, or look at his watch like he was timing me in a race or pump his arms like he was power walking!
We were laughing and cutting up in the restaurant last night and he turns to me and says.."you know Mom, its cool that I am old enough to have an intelligent conversation with you and all but you know there really isn't any reason to" Hmmmmm......

Target Tuesday hits home...around 8:00 every night ( TV time ) I am used to having a snack while I watch the shows...I am so used to it that I think I need it, even if I have had a good size dinner and am not hungry...here lately it has always been a low fat snack BUT if I could not do it ( if I am not truly hungry ) I would save some fat grams and calories...so I am going to work on that.... :)

Sandy - Glad you came out of the depression...Spring is just around the corner....then we can all come out of this winter funk....keep up the good work...

Julie - Dont get frustrated with the scales it will start to come off, especially with all the exercise that you have been doing.....great job!!

Good morning all! Well, I got back on track this morning and have done my yoga and have my first 24 oz of water in! I never did work out yesterday so it was only a 3 point day.

Judy - its so wonderful that you are there for your friend. I'm sure he appreciates it! Its the little things that count!

Julie - Your bad year sounds like mine last year! It started with my dad losing his business to a fire in January and went down hill from there (heart attacks, hospitalizations, gall bladder removal, death of a friend, etc). Those are the type of years when you look back and wonder how you stayed sane!

Eyeball slime! LOL! What a visual! But I know what you mean. We had -30s last week and now its just above zero, with snow, snow and snow. Sorry Faye, but I had to chuckle when you said it was getting cold - in the 50s!

Faye - EWWWW! That's all I can say about that story! As far as the card goes, since I'm new I had no idea about it. Can a person opt out of it if they so choose?

Well, I have to go fold laundry and get some packages ready to mail (if I decide to wander out in the snow later!). Take care!

You must have been a member of the thread for 4 months prior to Jan 1 to participate in the first quarter contest but then are eligible for any future ones. Thanks Faye...its good to feel like me again... as for the challenge... I still feel that the one who wins the first challenge should buy the next gift card. Since they are alreaday uneligible for the next challenge it just makes the most sense to me. They have 4 months to purchase it... thats my thoughts on it anyway... Seems the fairest... i will go along with the majority on this as well... just put in my 2 cents...lol

Hiya folks. 2 pts for yesterday, I have fallen off the writing things down wagon. Yikes. So just points for water and exercise. I dropped in on a toning class at the school gym yesteday, and I got my butt kicked. I strained muscles in my shoulder and thigh and this morning my rear end is sore as H.E. double hockeysticks! Oh boy. I didn't really like the class because I feel so behind everyone else, so much more out of shape. I am 26, getting stomped by beautiful in-shape 40 and 50 year olds. And I am the only one who has to sit out and the only one truely sweating bullets. And I am only a little overweight at this point. But maybe I will go back next week. I feel like challenging myself a little, just once a week would be good.

Next week I am going to see if they will give me Metformin at the doctor's office, for PCOS. I know I have it but didn't report it as a preexisting when I got my new health insurance (oops!) so I am going to have to play it cool. But I am hoping the drugs will drop the pounds.

Journaling. Today I am going to go to the mall and buy a nice journal, 14 bucks worth (ouch!) for writing my foods and feelings about foods into. Hopefully this will get me back on the wagon! I need to become much more familiar with my feelings around foods. I am hoping for a miracle, I admit. When I quit smoking, it was easier because I came to realise that I would get lethargic and depressed right after a smoke. I am hoping to grasp something similar to this with regards to overeating. Wish me luck!

Judy-when my buddy Doug when through a rough patch last year (REALLY ROUGH) one of his friends (a female) let him know she was going to make a "Doug-Call" every day. She just endevoured to call him every day to check in, and I think this really helped. Not that you should do it every day, but a scheduled check in might really remind your friend how much he is cared for.

To all of you, WTG!!!!!

Hi Ladies!

Well I did it - I've joined weight watchers!!. The group leader was reaaly warm and friendly, and the group seems nice - so I am feeling really positive about it. I weighed in at more than I thought I was - so my official starting weight is 255 lb. At least I know where I am, and I really like the look of the programme and think I can successfully lose weight. I'm feeling very good about it all - I'll let you know how I go at my first weigh in on Tuesday.

4 points for me yesterday!

Got to go and watch the new series of CSI!!!

Amanda- great! I'm sure you'll do great. Are you doing it with flex points?

Kim- How long have you had PCOS? What are your most obvious symptoms? I ask because I was diagnosed hmm about 2yrs ago with it. I am on Glucophage XR, which seems to work better for me than the reg. gluco. The reg one used to get me really "yucky"- upset stomach, funny taste in my mouth, etc. I have found it doesn't really make me lose more weight, but it seems to let you lose it if you follow some type of dieting/exercise program. I have also noticed if you do both you lose more weight...at least at a steadier rate. As far as my symptoms..I get irreg. periods (now under control for the moment with birth control), I don't ovulate...bummer, and I have some dark spots, also thinning hair. You should check out the PCOS forum on this site...lots of info. Well, hope it all turns out good for you.

Hello, I'm new to the site and Faye invited me to look in on you guys.

My current weight is 183 and my goal weight is 125. Not terribly unreasonable since I'm 5'0". When you're this short every pound looks like 5. For challenge Tuesday, my challenge would be giving up sweets. I just need to get them out of the house. Every time I walk by a bag of chocolates I pop one in my mouth. All that popping adds up and I don't mean for calorie burning! For points I get 4 today. I went to the gym at lunch and did 30 minutes on the nautalis machine and 20 on the bike. I feel pretty proud of myself, hopefully I can keep it up. I've read through some of the posts and this seems like a good group. I look forward to hearing more from all of you.

I need to rant.....

You know, I'm really kicking myself for not taking measurements when I started this month. I don't feel a difference in my clothes or see a difference in the scale, but according to the body fat index on the scale, I've gone down 2% (or maybe 3%, I can't remember).

Someone said to me that maybe I'm "meant" to weigh this much....I cannot believe I'm meant to be 200 lbs! I know I don't "look" like I weigh that much (both my mom and my DH wouldn't lie to me), but I am that and those numbers really bother me.

I also have PCOS and am currently unmedicated for it and hypothyroidism too. I had my gall bladder taken out last fall and have been having problems with digestion. And anyone on Metaformin (Glucophage) knows how that messes with digestion too! I can't handle that double-whammy.

So I'm thinking and hoping that I'm not losing because of the fact I'm not medicated right now and I'm gaining muscle. I'm also having those wonderful femine problems associated with PCOS, so I have to keep telling myself all this so I don't get too frustrated.

Okay, rant over. Thanks for reading, if you did!

Amanda - Congrats for joining! It sounds like you've found a warm and welcoming group!

Babsangie - Welcome to the group! I too am a newcomer here...about 3 weeks now, but these gals are great!

I finally am back up to four points. I'm actually thinking of maybe doing a second workout tonight.....since I missed my abs/glutes workout on Saturday. We'll see!

Take care everyone!

Evening all!

First of all welcome Babs!

Yesterday was great 4pts! Today well I will write it off and get on with it! Wish that I could have a great run with points like Juile! I will get there. Not making excuses or anything but I need some help trying to fit in a workout while holding down these 2 jobs. Any ideas are welcome. I am going to get myself a treadmil or some other equipment in a few weeks(waiting for income tax refund). As far as the target for today my thing is getting home late in the evening and being starved. I tried to eat healthy but for some reason when I make it home I seem so hungrey!! I have been having some good for me snacks when I get home(fruit/yogurt).

I feel for everyone with PCOS. One of my friends has it and she finally was able to have a child! Then when her child was 3 months old she found out that she was going to have another. She has been truly blessed. I don't really know what exactly this does to you but if it is anything like endo(extreme pain to the nth degree) I feel for you all. Each and everyone of you are in my prayers(actually everyone here are in my prayers).

As for the card I am up to whatever goes! Hey I am easy!

Got to toot a horn for my son. Had a parent teacher conference on the day that report cards came out and was shocked! Corey is in the 2nd grade and is reading 3rd grade level, math skills are on the border of 2nd/3rd grade, spelling is 3rd grade as well. His teacher has been getting him to help with some of the other students in her class. He gets to help some of the students with schoolwork. According to his teacher is explains it to them very well. Also is the only student in her class that can constantly carry on an adult conversation with everyone. She is very impressed him as well as myself. Not to bad for a child with ADHD who has trouble paying attention at home some days. Hey I will take it. I am sorry to ramble on about him but hey this has made my week.

Gotta run time for bed. Catch everyone later

Morning all you beauties!

Cold and snow this morning. I guess that this is going to be a chilly day for me. To be someplace warm right now sounds so good to me.

My woe for today is actually 2 woes. First of all, my biggest complaint is that there is no place here that is early brid or night owl friendly for those who want to workout. The gym here doesn't open until 8 a.m., already at work by then when I work days and it closes at 9 p.m. sometimes they will stay open til 10(on Fri they close at 7 and on Sat they are only open from 9a.m.-2p.m.). When I work days I don't get home til 530 p.m. and by the time I get Corey fed and his homework it is 730 that don't leave me any workout time as Corey's bed time is 8-830 during the school year. On the days that I go in at 1 p.m. I have to run errands for my mother and another friend and there are also times that I work my second job from 7-12. I don't get off of work until 930 or so at night so I don't have time then. I guess that I wish that they were open at 7am or before. I have suggested that they open earlier but I was told that nobody wanted to come to open the gym that early. I am going to buy some equipment. I wish that there was a 24 hr place or some place that opened at 6am. My second woe is enegery. I have none whatsoever. I am forcing myself to get moving. I know that it has lots to do with 2 jobs. Any ideas for enegery?

Time to run have to shower and get dressed for work(artic circle time today no heat where I will be working at)

Here's to a wonderful OP day!

Morning Ladies!

4 points again yesterday, but just barely. I decided to not treadmill cuz my body was aching from all the extra exercise. But I was going to go ice skating with my kids.....well we ended up by sliding my huge van into a ditch instead. Had to call a tow truck to get pulled out. So, I came home and hauled/stacked wood for 30 minutes. I'm calling that my exercise. So, 8 in a row!!

Back to treadmill again today. I feel like things are shifting around. I can feel bones when I lie down or when dh snuggles with me....so, I guess the scale doesn't know everything.

LisaZ--I totally know what you mean about feeling "meant" to weigh this much. I've been feeling that way for weeks, since the scale quit moving. BUT, I know that's a cop out.......it's not true, it's just our subconscious brain rationalizing and trying to convince you to eat that extra cookie! We are NOT meant to weigh 200 pounds!! It is not healthy. And sooner or later, the scales will move........

Well, gotta fly............welcome to Angie! Sandy, congrats about your son! That's awesome

Oh, and Amanda, I'm so glad you found a group to join that you feel comfortable with! There's no where to go now but DOWN DOWN DOWN :D

Later babes,
Julie

Hi Babs, I'm new here too, about 3 weeks, can only say nice things about this place, it really helps me start the day right. Welcome!

Sandy-It sounds like you need an at-home exercise routine. If you invest in some videos, books and handweights and other little things you might need, you will end up spending lots less than a gym in the long run anyway. You can do it!

WOES!!! I didn't know that there were digestion problems with glucophage, I haven't done my research on the meds, just know they seem to help with fertility.
Dot-My symptoms are: Some whiskers on my chin and upper lip, pot-belly, and no ovulation. I am really concerned about my fertility. My mom had it also and was able to conceive with basic fertility hormone treatment for her first and without drugs for her second. I was on the pill, but had some side effects. I decided to go off the pill last Sept., knowing I would get glucophage at the beginning of 2004. I know I will not be waiting till my mid thirties to think about having a baby! WOES--Thinking about PCOS depresses me. I am paranoid that my hair is thinning, even though my bf reasures me it isn't. It is a real bummer, don't want something to be wrong with me!

Yesterday I got 3 pts, no exercise due to a very strenuous workout Monday that made it SO HARD just to walk down stairs yesterday. I bought the journal and filled 2 pages with thoughts surounding my food choices in one day. I think the journal is going to be a great tool if I can keep it up. The idea is to not wait till the end of the day to write everything down, but to do it as I am feeling the cravings and the after-effects of having eaten

My support goes out to anyone who is struggling right now, and my cheers to all who are on plan and cruising (you know who you are!)

Have a great Wednesday!
Kim

POINTS POINTS POINTS!

Angie :bravo: (sorry I missed seeing it earlier!)
Julie :bravo:

Went to the gym this morning and worked for the first time with some of the machines and the weights. I felt self conscious, but I need to start doing this to firm up what I can. I am beginning to look like a Sharpei!

Kim: Honey I could just kiss you when you said what you did about beautiful 40 and 50 year olds!

Amanda: I am sooo glad you found a great WW group, now you are really going to go to town I am sure of it!

Lisa: BOLOGNA! I don't know what idiot said that, but I would have given them what for, for sure. I don't believe in those stupid charts as far as what you should weigh, but the truth is, you should weigh what makes you feel good, keeps your blood pressure in line, allows you to accomplish pretty much any task, stairs, walking distances, fitting into things etc. Two hundred lbs is ok if you are 6 ft tall! Ignore the ignoramus that said that!

SandyG: Girl, how busy can you get? Ok, this may be a stupid suggestion, but here goes. Until you can get you some home equipment I would suggest one of two things, getting the Walk away the Pounds tape and use it or another cardio tape or walk during your lunch hour during the day job. Don't freak out at the moment about not being able to do anything more calorie burning. Just get yourself some kind of exercise to get you into a routine so that when you do have a machine you are already set up to workout everyday and don't put it off! As for energy, my personal opinion is SLEEP and I like fruit for energy, like bananas or oranges. Both have higher fructose content and will provide more energy without slugging you down like some stuff. I have heard those power bar thingys are good too, but have never tried them.

Julie: Hope your van and everybody that was in it is A-ok. You are having some kind of winter, aren't you? I am so thrilled about your fat loss even if the scales don't say so. You are obviously losing if you can now feel bones etc you couldn't before. I am very very proud of you. You are working very hard! :cb: :cp: Don't be a slave to the scale. It can be deceiving!

Angie: It is great to have you here. Right below is some bio info on the girls so you can get to know us a little better. Also, the first post of the thread keeps you updated on everything we do here including, topics, points, challenges, etc.

JUDY: I am 43 yr old single mom of Billy, my 13 year old wonderful son.
I have weighed as much as 308 when pregnant, and have gained and lost the same 50 pounds of the last few years. I was slowly and steadily losing weight until my husband died last March. At that time I had so many other things to take care of, I kind of got lost in the shuffle, and now I am back up to 298. things have settled down now, so I can take care of me again.

I am a Real Estate secretary, so I sit most all day.

My name is Susan and I've grown up in the North West. I'm a sophomore at (transfering for winter term) the University of Oregon. I love Music, theater, and being silly with my friends. I have no significant other, but a large family the imediate of wich includes my parents and 4 siblings, all about 10 years older, but we are still close and I love them all dearly.
I've bee a chubby girl for as long as I can remeber and the time has come to stop my bad habbits. I'm not quite sure what my all time high was because I wasn't weighing myself at the time, but this July I weighed in at 218 wich is the highest I've ever seen the scale. I'm now at 194 as of last friday and am working toward 150 by my 21st birthday in January 2005. I drink water and go to the campus gym 3-4 days a week. On other days I still have to ride my bike and walk around campus. I want to drop the weight so that I can FEEL young and be the 20-something I know I can be.

BETH :I am 40 divorced for the past 4 years, no kids and at the moment no pets although I am a big dog lover. I am going to school full time at a private university in Florida. I have a degree in accounting which I don't use and instead work for myself pretty much part time at home. Currently I am majoring in writing - drama. I would like to go to Brown to get my Masters when I finish in writing drama as well. A relationship with someone I loved dearly ended last week and I am trying to move on but the circumstances that caused the ending is making that a bit hard. I have a week and a half of school left before Christmas break and then six weeks off. I plan to use that time just for myself. Putting me first and spending my time on ingraining a healthier life style. My long term goal is to be in much better shape and at a much lower weight by the time I start graduate school which is about a year and a half from now. I like the normal things, movies, tennis, bike riding, photography and art in general. I'm looking forward to being part of your group.

March (which I am scared of!) He works overseas as a

struggled with weight for a while, I have about 21
pounds to lose now to reach my goal weight of 158 lbs.
But who's counting? I am on a very lax plan now
focusing on exersize and eating awareness, not eating

LISA:I'm a SAHM (with two parttime businesses) to two wonderful children, 14 and 6. I'm very fortunate to have a super supportive husband, but I need to lose some more weight. My highest was over 235, my lowest in ten years has been 185. I've been hovering back at 200 again, and want to get down at least 20 lbs initially, 40 ideally. I have hypothyroid and PCOS which makes the struggle even more frustrating and slow. My username Zookeeper16 came from a friend of mine. I have 2 dogs, an inside cat, a bird, a guinea pig and fish. Good morning Beautifuls - and yes the 40s and 50s, even 60s, 70s and 80s are beautiful too! I know a woman in her 80s and she is the most beautiful woman around. I can't imagine what she looked like in her 20s! So EVERY age, every year is beautiful!

Sandy - I really think after a couple weeks of regular :tread: exercise, your energy will come back. The first couple weeks actually wore me out :tired: , but now if I workout, I have a lot more energy. :flame: Then again, those first couple weeks, I quit the caffeine too, so that may have had something to do with it. As for exercise, I highly recommend Tae Bo, but that's just me! Its a great cardio, stretching and muscular workout. :strong:

Julie - Hope you and your van are okay. What a rotten winter for you guys out there! You and I need to stay away from the scale! If I could just stay away from it and weigh myself a couple times a week I'd be doing great!

Kim - Don't stress :stress: yourself out with the PCOS. I had a hard time conceiving before I was even diagnosed with PCOS and one round of Chlomid did the trick. The Metaformin/Glucophage are terrible on the digestive system, so right now I'm trying to fight the symptoms without meds. I'm having a hard enough time with digestion since my gall bladder surgery, I don't need to add to that! I also went through a period last summer where my hair was literally falling out. But it stopped and what I lost is growing back. It may be a bit thinner, but not by very much. Remember, stress isn't good for you anyway. Worrying about it won't change it. Time to look PCOS straight on and tackle it! :rollpin: You can do it!

Faye - Did the scale you just bought measure body fat too? I can't remember! If it does, then this site may help you put things into perspective: http://www.healthchecksystems.com/bodyfat.htm

Based on the information on that website, I have lost 5 lbs of fat and replaced that with muscle! THAT made me feel so much better! I also went through the calculations and found that my ideal weight is 166, so I have 34 lbs to lose. Boy, this information really helped me keep my perspective! :flow2:

I also took my measurements this morning an put them in an Access database. I've never used Access before, so I'm learning as I go. :comp: If all else fails, I'll go back to Excel.

Faye - I'm still giggling over your Sharpei comment!

Well, got my exercise in and on my second water bottle for the day. Looks to be a great day! Hope yours is too! :grouphug:

Good Morning
Hump day! I got just 1 pt for water yesterday. My lunch errand took too long, didn't get home to grab the good for me lunch I made and forgot to take with, so I did fast food burger and drink. Had a meeting after work to plan my son's courses for high school next year. I was bad, we both were starving by the time the meeting was over, so we went for fast food dinner. We had fried chicken, mine without the skin, and I didn't eat all the mashed potatoes that came with it Boy, it DID taste good though :o

My Wednesday Woe---high school!! Man, I don't remember having all these requirements when I was in high school. To graduate in the college prep program, Billy will only get to take 2.5 credits of electives, out of the 24 he has to have to graduate. 1 credit is 1 semester, and most courses are 2 credits. These elective credits include any courses he wants to take in whatever field he wants to study in college. There is no room for not knowing what you want to study in college, there is no flexibility. 4 yrs of math, english, science, social studies and 3 yrs of a foreign language are all required, along with a year of fine arts, 1.5 yrs of PE, and a speech, health and computer information credit. He is lookig at summer school this year and next year to get stuff out of the way!! Even within the English, Science etc, there are no choices for courses, you have to take what is specified.
He will do fine, I am just disappointed that he won't have to opportunity to explore new things a little more. He is excited so I guess that is all that matters.

Back on program today, I was given a discount card for the community gym so billy and I are going to sign up and have our first workout tonight. So I am planning on a 4 point day.
Have a great day!
Judy :)

Ok, 50 minutes of Treadmill DONE! Plus I still have class to teach tonight. Loads of exercise today.......

I have a martial arts tournament this weekend that I'm kinda nervous about. In this silly game I play there are no weight/age/experience or gender classes...everybody fights everybody and we jokingly call this tourney the "Pit of Pain" because it's an all day fight. It never stops. You fight, you win or lose, if you lose you go to the back of the line, if you win you keep fighting the next guy in line. You can stop whenever you want to, take breaks, etc....but it is a MAJOR testosterone fest!!! It's the first tourney of the "season" and everybody has to prove himself, set the pecking order so to speak. I generally do ok at this one, as long as I relax. I think that's why I'm hitting the treadmill so hard right now, to get the nerves under control.

Anyway, lots to do! Talk at you later,
Julie

Keep those feet moving girls! I am getting confused on who is exercising when to do the exercise queen so what I am going to do is do what I do for points. Starting tomorrow, I will post exercise queens for those who exercised the day before (ie Wed)

Lisa: Thanks loads for the info and yes my scale does body fat. I was totally shocked to see my "fitness" level either 22% or 24% is 168 lbs and 174% not the 145 lbs I was shooting for. WOOHOO I have less to lose! It would even be more if I wanted to be just in the acceptable level, but I would like to be in the "fit" level for one time in my life since high school anyway! I weighed 185 when I got married, but walked a mile to school everyday, could ride my bike for miles and was on the volley ball team at school though I quit because of the practice times (6am). I am going to send this to my sister. Thanks again.

My wed woe involves my dd and ds. She is NOT going to his wedding and of course ole mom as usual is caught in the middle. I have refused to give my opinion about any of it telling her she has to do what is right for her family (repeatedly because she keeps bringing it up and talking about it) and his girlfriend I told that I won't give my opinion though I have one because I always end up caught in the middle and then I get my feelings hurt. GROWN kids are worse than little ones sometimes, I swear! My son's fiance is an adorable woman and only thinks the best of people as does my son. I can see our relationship becoming a problem for dd eventually, if you know what I mean. BIG GREEN monster as she is my only girl and he is my only boy. SIGH.......

FYI: Let's see two things, I think it is pillsbury that now makes a lowfat fudge brownie mix and for those Skinny Cow ice cream lovers in the bunch then have just come out with their own line of 1/2 gallon ice cream with 2.5% fat. I bought chocolate peanut butter cookie dough so we shall see!

Gotta run!

HELLO BEAUTIFULS!!! Another 4 point day... thats great for me... slowly but surely getting back on track here. Once i get sawyer off to school today i am doing my watp 2 mile tape...Altho i have been cleaning like a mad woman...lol changing sheets, dishes, vacuuming, laundry... so i have worked up a good sweat doing that too. LOL Sandy thats wonderful about your son... u have every right to be proud!! I have parent teacher conferences tomorrow... altho i am both proud and happy to say my kids do well in school. Daughter has some problems with math... but thats normal... and ds Hunter is jsut such a sweet heart... his teacher tells me what great leadership skills he has,,, sometimes i get home from these confreneces and think... were they really talking about my kids?? LOL U know what i mean...lol
Faye... just be yourself and stick to what your heart and gut tells you on the dd issue... jealously is such a wasted emotion... but most of us just have no control over it. And since u already suspect what issues will be forthcoming... u are already somewhat prepared... right?? right!! I love you all... take care of u today...

SandyB :bravo: for a 4 pt day! Great job!

Well, I did 45 on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the other machines. I had a tiny mishap with the machine that you use sitting and you pull down like handle bars. My arms were too short to allow the bar to release all the way to the top and when I was finished, I couldn't do anything but let it got when I ran out of arm (I couldn't stand from that position because of my bad knee) so it clanged and the place was full. I was so embarrassed!

Tomorrow is errand and grocery day oh yippee for me so I need to go and get a grocery list made up. I do it on the computer and type it all up nice and neat then make a mess of it when I shop!

Funny little story. I got an e-mail from my future dil telling me my sister and my adult niece had rsvp'd for the wedding. She proceeds to tell me that they received their first wedding gift via Target and it was a pyrex portable. She said my son was all excited about it and wanted to cook something in it right away! Only my son could get excited about GlASSWARE!

Have a good night girls. AND for my absent sweet ones, Pam, Beth, Debbie, Joy, Susan we all miss you bunches and bunches, please come back soon!

Good morning lovelies!

We're finally getting some snow. It's been too cold to snow since before Christmas, so this is kinda nice. THough I gotta keep myself out of ditches

4 points yesterday......9 in a row! I had to cram down that last 1/2 water bottle before bed though.

I'm teaching a private class today and then grocery shopping. Should be another 4 pointer, :crossed: Sooner or later all this angelic behavior has GOT to pay off!

Later babes,

I had just a three pointer yesterday, no exercise...sometimes once I get home from work I am just pooped and ready to be on the couch for a while, then it is dinner, and clean up, and bedtime... I know I gotta make time....
After I got off my TOM my weight was back down so I got to change the number on my signature AGAIN....I am on a roll now... :cb:

Faye - Great job on experimenting on the machines, I used to be a member of Lifetime Fitness, and it was just a skinny little gathering place mostly, my dh and I didnt like it, but no one would help with showing how the machines worked so I never got on them, I tried to do it myself but some were so complicated....

Cathy - I can almost taste those Mars Bars, mmmmmmmmmmm ... it has been so long since I have had something good and sweet - but dont beat yourself up, today is another day...and sometimes ya gotta cheat....

Sandy - good job on getting back on track, dont you just love those WATP tapes? It goes by so fast.....

Julie - Good luck on the tournament this weekend!! :jig:

Kimmy Ann, Judy, Lisa, Babs, Pam, Dot, Amanda, and anyone that I missed, have a great OP day....talk to ya all later...

:) Im back....sorry for not posting for so long, but things have really been hectic....my children have really been having a tough time since their father passed, and I think the holidays really triggered it for them...my oldest seems to be the one that is taking it the hardest...she really has been depressed...crying at the drop of a hat ...moody,and I mean moody...and guess what, she found out that she is going to have another baby...so I am going to be a grandma again...so that explains some of her moods...then I have the two sisters fighting, and having to listen to both sides and trying to be the go between and settle things between them,I tell you what,I think sometimes when they get older, they reqiure more attention than when they are little...PHEW!!!...then I have my youngest daughter that I am getting ready for graduation...that's a job in itself...I have everything ordered, and now I have to find her a prom dress....so amoung all this I have not been taking the time for me...feeling that I need to be there for my children ...helping them get all the things cleared up...their father left them very well off,but we have had to go through the Government, and you talk about red tape...they want every detail of your whole life..they were in the dark as to where to start, and his sister from New York tried to pull a fast one,and I had to challenge her in court on behalf of my children ,as she was trying to get control of all of their money and properties, and had actually started using the money in the accounts he had...needless to say I won and my children have since got what was theirs...she thought since we were no longer married and I had remarried..that it gave her the right to step in and try and control things...it's funny how the thought of money and personal gain brings someone out of the woodwork...this sister never even knew my children and never visited her brother..he lived here in georgia and she was in New York...and even when she was notified that he was dying, her reply was she would only come down if he died...didn,t even care to see him alive....little did she know what she was going up against, and that these backwood georgia mamas look out for their babies....but she knows now...so in the mist of all this...I have left me behind,so I really need to get back on track ...Faye ,I really appreciate you for hanging in their and praying for me to come back...looks as if all are doing well,as i hope to jump right in there with you..I have rambled a bit and sorry so long..there wasn't a day I haven't thought about all of you, just have been drained and really did not take the time to exercise or anything for me..and not to mention my 8 year old...he defintely keeps me on my toes...sports,school projects, his ar program where he reads so many books per month, and he recieved outstanding achiever awards, and we recieved a letter from the principal thanking us for our support ....makes you proud, and he is in the gifted class for his outstanding performance....can't tell Im a proud parent,huh...Im proud of all my children's accomplihments...alright,I know ,enough...anyway,I am back to stay, and i look forward to chatting with you all...take care and I will check in later...love and hugs to all.....Joy ;) :D :)

Good Morning All,
Joy, hugs to you :grouphug: and welcome back. We are here for you.

I get 4 points for yesterday. :cb: Son and I went to work out last night. I think I overdid it---everything aches this morning. I either overdid it or I am getting old! Tonight we are going to do just a cardio workout. I am bound and determined to master the treadmill!!!! Call me strange, definitely uncoordinated, but I have never been able to comfortably walk on a treadmill for any length of time. :tread: I don't know if it is the movement of it, the closeness of the handles or what but I get dizzy or I have to hang on with a death grip! It would be nice to be like everybody else and walk on a treadmill!! Oh well.
Have a great day!
Judy
P.S. I am terribly bloated from drinking just water--I feel like I am going to float away.

Hi Folks!

Well Weightwatchers is going well - I have stayed on programme for 2 days now, and am under my points allowance. I am currently allowed 28 points, but this will drop to 26 when I lose 3lb - both days I have used about 24 - 25 - it's amazing how quickly they add up!! I am feeling really positive - it takes a bit of effort at the moment to work out what is best to eat for the points, but that is actually what I need - to think about what I am eating rather than shovelling stuff in my mouth without thinking! I can't remember who asked me (sorry!), but I am not on 'flexi points' - the programme is called 'time to eat' - maybe flexi points haven't made it to the UK yet!. Anyway, I am sooooo glad I've joined! I had been struggling for so long, but now I have committed to this I feel really positive and motivated.

JOY - So happy that you are back! We have missed you lots. I'm glad your children are getting their rightful inheritance, and congratulations on your daughters pregnancy - poor thing, her emotions must be all over the place - with both grief, loss and hormones.

Faye - I think I will opt out of the gift card competition - I just think it will be too complicated with me living in the UK. Hope that's not a problem. You are doing so well with the exercise - doing the weights will increase your metabolism, so you will burn calories even faster! You are soooo close to twoterville - that is a great achievement and inspiration to us all ! :tread: :cheer: :tread: :cheer:

I got 4 points yesterday !

Take care

Amanda: It is not a problem at all, I just don't want you to feel bad about not being in the competition. Let's say you are in the challenge, just that you don't want to participate in the gift and that way you can still work hard to win!

OK, here is your faithful leader January 2003 and January 2004. Guess exercise pays off, huh?

I will talk to everyone in the morning. Jack is itching to get online!

Morning All -

I am down 2.5 pounds from last Friday, or it could be 3.5... for some reason I cannot remember if I weighed in at 221.5 last Friday or 222.5, oh well either way it is good, so there ya go...
3 point day yesterday, no exercise...too cold here ( bad excuse huh? )
I just got to work and it is -3 outside, should make for another lovely evening with my heat running all night, my gas/heat bill has been outrageous as you can imagine....what are ya gonna do though? Gotta have heat...I should just count my blessings that I do have a warm place from the cold...

Amanda - Glad to hear that WW is going well, I really like the program...it teaches you what actual portions are. I usually have about 25-26 pts per day, I find that I can stay in that range pretty easily...good luck

Faye - What a difference, those pics look great ... I agree with Cat90 - I would have never thought that you weigh what you say - of course alot of people dont think that I am over 200 either, it is deceiving sometimes...
great job on the 5 pounds down...you are rolling now....

Have a good day everyone!!

Good morning beautifuls!!!!

IT MOVED IT MOVED IT MOVED.........FINALLY! :dancer: :dancer:

I'm down to 215!! a whopping 3 pound loss for the whole month.......grrr.

I just realized, though, that I'm only 10 pounds away from being half way to my goal of 90 pounds lost!! I never thought I could do this, but I am. I really am.

I got 4 points again yesterday.....double digits in a row for me! 10 days. It's going to be tough to keep that up this weekend though. With traveling so much to get to the tournament and back, we'll probably be eating out. I'm thinking of packing a small cooler with fruit and maybe some black bean burrito wraps. Those suckers are so good, and very low calorie. DH made them for me last week when I was feeling low. I think he said all he did was mash up some black beans with cilantro, garlic, onions and some shredded cheese. THen he smeared the mushy stuff all over a whole wheat tortilla and wrapped em up and baked em. THey were really yummy, but even better the next day when I had to take something to dance class. They travel so well, no drips. And tons of protein.

Anyway, It's so nice to see everyone doing so well. Faye, you're on fire! And Carrie, you gotta catch me now!

AManda--I'm so glad the WW is working out. It won't be long before you're posting those losses too.

Welcome back Joy! We sure missed you. Be kind to yourself, and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! It's the only way you can be sure you'll be there for your babies when they need you.

Everyone else have a fabulous day! I won't be around until Sunday, probably, so have a fabulous weekend too!!

Love to you all!
Julie

Hello all, couldn't sign on yesterday due to connection troubles and time problems. I got 1 pt on Wednesday and 2 points yesterday. Still having trouble journalling, which is no suprise, as I am falling off the organization wagon at school and elsewhere. I didn't have time to catch up on all the posts, that will be later tonight. I am having some trouble keeping the old bloodsugar regulated. Not eating regularly enough during the day at school, going too long between snacks, then getting pannicked and going for the peanut m&ms. An then, not writing things down! Oh boy, I don't know what to eat anymore, I really need a breakfast that sticks to my ribs, smoothies wear off so quick! Anyhoo, had some thinking breakthroughs yesterday, like that I use food to self medicate an attention deficit problem. I am going to see if gum can do the trick for reading, in class etc.

Wish me luck gals, I wish you all the best!

Hi Lovely jublies!

Carrie, Julie & Faye - WHOO HOO! on your losses!

Cat - Hope you feel better soon.

Carrie - you are spot on with what you said about portion sizes. On the last diet I was on I could eat unlimited rice, pasta and potatoes - I used to pile my plate soooo high!!. Now on weightwatchers, as everything is pointed I had to halve my portion of rice last night. The 'half portion' I had was actually 1 serving according to the packaging - I have been eating 2 peoples portions, which can't be good! :o

I got 3 points yesterday - no exercise.

Have a good Friday everyone!

Hi girls!

Oh boy a lot going on here with you girls so I decided I will post as I go...

LisaZ-I totally feel you with the PCOS. Try speaking with your doctor about glucophage XR. The first time around I tried the regular glucophage, but couldn't deal with the side effects...nausea, metallic taste in mouth, diahrea just to name a few. But on the second time around I was put on glucophage XR and I have done a lot better. Also my gyn prescribed I take 2 before bedtime instead of throughout the day so as to not have such a hard time with side effects. I think the difference with the XR is that the medication is released little by little into your system. Well hope this helps. I would deffinately get treatment...it is a great help...boost. Best of Luck!

SandyG- Hey girl! Glad to hear about what a bright kid you have. I'd be proud too. My nephew goes to a gifted school and even though he isn't my son I am a very proud auntie.

My B-day is tomorrow and since my parents are in town they are thorwing a little get together at my apt. Family is coming over. Andy gave me my presents already...he basically took me out shopping for clothes...I also go a nice little number(size M) in the lingerie section....hee hee hee, and he got me a floor lamp I've been eyeing for a while.

Okay girls take care and I'll try to check in more often, just been really tied up at work.

Hope everyone is doing good, i have tried to stay up with all your post, my mom has not been feeling well, spend one night in hospital, dehyration, she is 82, but she is finally feeling better,
I have done so-so on my diet , got most of water in
just no exercise, I also like the watp tapes, i am still just using the one mile , but i started out not using the weighted balls, last week i started using them. Mom can pretty much take care of things herself now, so I will get back to exercising TODAY.
I have only lost one pound this week.

I hope that a year from now that I have accomplish half
of what Faye did last year!!!
Faye you motivate us all.
Will try to start posting more often,
