Default Countdown to? (Please Join In)

I am using my upcoming trip to Florida as motivation to become healthier.

I was hoping that others with a countdown going would post here so we can support each other and celebrate each others' successes.

I have this ball thing I have to go to. We are an Army family and they throw this nice ball where everyone dresses up. I would like to look good in my dress. March 14th. I would love 10 lbs lost. Need to make a ticker for that.
Good idea!

I'm counting down to three things: I have to be in a little black dress for a bachelorette party by May 4th, I'm a bridesmaid June 1, and I have a family wedding to attend July 20th. I would really like to be under 300 for little black dress, and then while I'll probably maintain through the month of May (so I don't need to alter the dress at the last minute), I'd like to be down another 10 for the July one.

Great motivation idea!

1. Navy Supply Corps Ball in March

2. Summer

3. Long term - husband's return from deployment. I would like to be in maintenance by then because we will TTC #2 when he comes home.

Awesome job on the weight loss RavenWolf!

As my ticker shows, I want to lose 5 pounds by Feb 15th. I'm not going to weigh myself until then, but it still gives me a short goal to shoot for.

What's my next goal? You guessed it! Another 5 pounds...

Good luck ladies - let's do this!

Well, I have two things.

One, I want to get back down to 175 so I will be at 100 pounds lost AGAIN (for the third time in a year). That is supposed to be my "do not cross over ever again line". Wellll...... maybe it will be this time.

Second is I need to be around or under 170 come summer time or summer clothes time or else my summer wardrobe won't fit me! I had gotten some darling clothes and I WILL NOT buy larger sizes for summer!

I love challenges like these.

I liked the Valentine's one since it was pretty much 6 weeks from the new year to lose 20lbs and I think I might actually (fingers crossed) make it or be very close to it. It was very inspiring to me and it was the first one I have ever done.

The next challenge I joined was one Mozzy started for the month of March so I figure St. Patrick's Day will be the date I mark on my new ticker next week, hoping for a 10lb loss by then. Or I can do Easter Sunday maybe? That only adds 2 weeks to it.

I find the 4-6 week challenges mentally acceptable (if there is such a thing!) and trying not to get obsessed with the amount of weight lost, just having a date marked on the calender for reference and pace.

What a great thread

I have a very special Party to attend in about 2 weeks and other event in LA in April with some of the same people so I'm hoping/praying/working hard to have a "noticeable" difference between the two events.

Those are my two short term goals, I have many more. LOL

Good Luck everyone!!!!

Well, I haven't weighed in for a couple weeks because I had a few off days plus my period is looming (unless I'm pregnant again).

Anyway, my countdown right now is to Valentine's Day -- praying to be in the 260's by then, which is in about a week.

After that, I'll probably do a St. Paddy's Day challenge -- either on here or just a personal one

Let's see...Hm. I suppose I'm very motivated by the seasons, mid-seasons, and holidays.
- The first day of Spring, I want to climb the Maintou Incline. The top of the incline is 8,600 feet high with an elevation gain of 2,100 feet from the base.
There are about 5,000 railroad ties that serve as "steps" to ascend the incline.

-I'm also really looking forward to the Renaissance Fair here in Colorado. It starts June 15th and I definitely wont be able to fit into my old costume! I'll have to get a new one. I'm very excited about that.

- More so then anything- DH and I want to start TTC for the first time in 2014 (maybe sooner if he can't keep his hands off me when I hit goal? LOL. )
35x35- You're my inspiration! I DEFINITELY want to home birth! I
