Default Where do you keep your...?

Treadmill!!

If you have a home treadmill, where do you keep it and why?
We recently moved, and for now I'm not going to be logging much time (see siggy) but we had our treadmill in the basement at our last place, but we don't have a basement here! Not sure where's a good place to put it? I'm leaning towards the living room...but not sure...

Where's yours?

I have mine in my basement too. I say put it anywhere you are likely to use it. If you like to watch TV while walking on the treadmill, I say the living room is a good place. Most models fold up nicely so they are easy to stick in a corner out of the way.

Best of luck on you move!

Mine folds so I just keep it in the corner of my bedroom and put it up against the wall when its not in use...

This me seem strange, but our treadmill is in the kitchen! It's the biggest room in the house.(There's also a sofa, dining room set, refrigerator, and two freezers in there!)

Garage. I can only imagine what the 2 year old would do to it if it was inside the house.

Emurph- funny! I know kids and treadmills offer a serious risk, but I love how you said it. Made me LOL.

I put my treadmill upstairs, in my loft. I have a sizeable room upstairs where we have a TV, sofa, and the kids toys and computers. Since my foldable, rollable treadmill is still super bulky and impossible to roll, that was the best place to put it. I wanted it in my bedroom where my TV has a DVR attached and so I could run without an audience and watch TV, but it just wasn't meant to be (due to in ability to fold and roll, my room is too small). I don't usually watch TV because I get bored with commercials (no DVR) and it's difficult to hear the TV on full throttle, anyways. Usually I listen to music and often watch my kids play X-Box games add my commentary much to their chagrin.

What's funny is they'll be driving their X-Box car or whatever....and you know how sometimes when watching something like that, it makes you want to lean in one direction or another, as if your lean will guide their car in that direction? I've fallen off the side of the treadmill a time or two because of that!

I sure love my treadmill!

Before we got rid of ours (it was old and crappy and the belt slipped every 5 seconds) we kept it in the basement, since it was the biggest non-carpeted space available. It also faced a blank wall, so that might be why it never got used

We built a full workout room in our basement. Treadmill, Boxflex, stepper, free weights, stability ball, resistance bands, rowing machine, and of course a 32" TV and DVD player are in there.
