I started gaining extra weight in my early teens. I'm 51 now and have spent most of my adult life around 30-35 lbs overweight. Since my divorce 9 months ago I've gained another 30ish lbs. So now I have about 65 lbs I want to lose once and for all.
Basically, I want to adopt an all-around healthy life style. I've recently started eating more wholesome foods in normal portion sizes and as a result have lost a few pounds this past week. However, I'm struggling to motivate myself to exercise and do physical activities. I think participating in these forums will make a big difference.
Kaydia, I'm also 51 with similar weight experience as you. You've taken the first step by eating better, and seeking out like-minded people like here at 3FC is step 2. Exercise will come. Good luck to you. Donna
Welcome, and congratulations on the weight loss so far. I'm new here too, and I'm hoping that checking in here regularly will help keep me on track. Good luck with the exercising. I find if I can get some exercise in in the morning, it makes my whole day feel much better.
