As you ask, Bagzie. A new thread, a new day. I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me!!!!! Hey, if it's good enough for Stewart Smalley, its good enough for me.

I've just recovered from the mother of all migraine headaches. I was laid low all day yesterday, which really p*ssed me off, because it was one of the last days of my time off, and it was sunny!!!!!!!! Anyone who doesn't live in Oregon may not understand my despair at missing out on a sunny day in January, but Brattie is sure to know my pain.

Sugar, don't your parents get exhausted from all this moving? I couldn't imagine all the work it would take to pack up this place and move it. It must be what keeps them young. Also the fact that their daughter is just a baby. I want the recipe for the chicken bacon thingies. Anything where you take a relatively lowfat item like chicken and make it into something yummy and fattening is ok in my book. Just like broccolli w/ cheese sauce, strawberries and ice cream, salad w/ blue cheese dressing. You get the drift. :dizzy:

Well, it looks like there is a partly sunny day out there. I think I should get out there and clean up some black eyed susans and crocosmia foliage sometime before the new growth starts up again. Dahlia, you're probably shocked that I've let that ugly brown stuff lay out there on the ground so long. I can't wait to see your pictures of your place in the springtime... of course it will probably make me tired just looking at it. I'm into the casual gardening look. ie; messy but pretty in a weedy way.

Whatcha going to start in your greenhouse this spring Bagzie???Some stuff for Peaches new house?

Wabby, I feel for you with your migraine! I had some kind of mini-flu that knocked me out for almost two days. I couldn't eat and it was hard to stay out of bed for any length of time. The good news is, I lost 4 pounds. The bad news is, it'll all come back now that I'm able to eat again. Although my appetite is not completely back yet.

I did CTX Kickbox today (a short, but intense kickbox tape with bicep weight work.) I also tacked on the triceps work from another CTX tape. I couldn't do any abs because my back still hurts so badly from lying in bed.

Bagzie, your garden sounds nice already! I probably won't do anything outside. Someone mowed over my butterfly bush last year, so I don't plan on doing any more outside gardening until we move into a home with a fence.

Well, now that have gloated over my pathetic workout and temporary weight loss, I'm off.

Ciao!

Cherry, I"m impressed. You exercised and you found a weight loss virus. You are the woman. How's your job going?
Wabby, enjoy your partly sunny day. I love natural, semi-messy gardens. If they are too perfect they look like Disneyworld, where all the plants look plastic.
Bagzie, wasn't it sweet of Dahlia to stick up for you with your mother. It is terrible that you have been so abused. We all know you are a rhino, but for her to SAY it is just horrible.
Kiwi, where are you?
Sissy, you also.
Sugar. ditto.

I'm here, but not for long. Goodness, you people sure wake up when I don't post!

Dahlia Dear, you must take what we say around here with a grain of salt. Or three. Bagz' mother is the sweetest person ever and I don't believe for a moment that she called her a rhinobutt. That sounds more like something I would say.

Gotta run, very busy here. Pep Band, dinners out to discuss the death of Podunk etc. DH is keeping busy rabble-rousing, so he's happy. I actually worked out today. Muscle woman, here I come!

I'll send ya the recipe ASAP, Wabby! It's super easy.

I say let's forget all this nonsense about losing weight and devote ourselves to HINTS FROM HELOISE I am just baffled by the return of June. How long ago was cloning invented??

I have to go now. I have spilled popcorn on the floor and must consult my housekeeping manual on how best to clean it up.

I hope I don't have to bend over.

I'm going to be boringly on-topic and ignore any suggestions of cow-fights in the herd. Today I did CTX Leaner Legs (a 45 minute legs workout) along with CTX shoulders. Aren't you proud of me? We were going to go to the pool and then we realized that with us all being sick, that's not a great idea. Oh well. My back really needs the whirlpool, but I'll take a hot bath instead.

I've bored you enough!

Anyway, fights are fun. Would it be possible to reignite the war with Canada? Nah, they don't have any oil. We only go to war with oil-rich people who threaten to blow up the world. But the actions of these Canadians can not be ignored.
Here is what I'm going to do for the next hour.
1. unload dw
2. load dw
3. clean out fridge
4. .clear kitchen counter
5. mop kitychen floor
6 put cloth on kitchen table

I got the dishwasher emptied and refilled, and the big pots and stuff washed this morning, all while I was sleeping late. Pretty good for a lazy butt, eh? As everyone knows, all work done by family members is to our credit, so I feel quite accomplished today.

My only objectives today are to make some goodies, some for DH's birthday, which is tomorrow, and some for DD's recital tomorrow night. And lots of laundry. That's it. Otherwise I am at your disposal.

2 weeks off work and I still haven't got the house totally cleaned, or the bottom of my laundry hampers exposed. I was almost there when DS did decide to clean out his room and bring tons of dirty laundry to the laundry room. Didn't I say that would happen????

I did clean up the flower beds w/ the blackeyed susans and crocosmia up. It felt so good to get outside for awhile, but by evening I was hurting in my innards, so I guess I'd better lay off the gardening for awhile. One of our cows had a stillborn calf yesterday too. Unfortunately she didn't deliver it all the way & DH and I got to play cow obstetrician. Lucky we managed to get it pulled because we could have lost the mother along w/ the calf. As it was DH felt so bad about the calf, but this is the 2nd stillborn calf for this cow, so we think she's just not a breeder. I think her new name may be T-bone. :(

Are you girls done squabbling yet?

Hello ladies,,

Wabby, I didn't realize you lived on a farm.. and have a glass business.. my but you folks must be busy.....how many cows do you have and is it a dairy farm?

If your innards are hurting from a day in the flower bed, perhaps you are pushing yourself to hard to soon.. I am disillusioned, I thought you gals were all sloppy, but here you are out cleaning your flower beds even....now what kind of example are you giving the others? ;)

I have been having a lazy day so far today,, I will even make a list for you..

1. Slept in till almost 9, actually laid in bed for an hour to finish a book I have been reading for the past month..)
2. Made my bed. *sorry, it's a habit...:)
3. Came downstairs and baked a banana walnut cake and a dozen poppy seed muffins. Then had one for breakfast.
4. Did ds#5's laundry, only way I can tell he is home for the weekend from college is by his laundry bag dropped in the living room.:dizzy:
5. Watched a dvd movie I received for Christmas. First Knight, with Richard Gere, he is my movie honey...
 the whole family teases me about him...but no matter. I want to go see Chicago..
6. Had lunch with DH
7. Played on computer.. I love What word and twisttext. I also enjoy playing scrabble and cribbage on line..if any of you would ever like a game, just let me know..
8. I have some chicken breast thawing for supper.

there so far that is my day... do I qualify in the herd now?:dizzy:

It is cold here, only 19 degrees F. Maybe I should go take a nap...LOL

Hope someone posts soon, so next time I check I have more to read.

Someone is confused here. It's Sugar who has a farm. The only glass I know about is Bagz' margieware.

Dahlia, where do you live? My AnnArbor friend tells me that right outside AnnArbor is an area called ****. Are you familiar with that?

I have done nothing since taking ds off to the spelunkadventure. I hope he took extra jeans. I really really hope that.

BaggieMammoth, I will accept your apology this time. Don't do it again. I feel suddenly like having hummus.

Dahlia, don't feel bad about making your bed. I did today too.

Lushie- hmmm, job is going good. I have six hours of work crammed into three hours and then the rest of the work has to try to fill up the remaining 5 hours. The nice thing is, I get the whole shift done at once and then have time to do other stuff like exercise, clean, and study. Boy, that probably doesn't sound that fun, does it?

Also- GO EAGLES! I wore green every day this week. I'll let you know how I REALLY feel about them tomorrow!! Hehe.

I'm totally spacing about a book? Remember, my nose is stuffy, so I'm only getting about half the oxygen I should and my little brain is suffering. Right now I'm reading "Northanger Abbey" by Jane Austen. I also just pre-ordered the next Harry Potter. And two of the books for my college classes haven't even been published yet and class starts in just over a week.

Wabby, I'm sorry about the calf, but I'm glad T-Bone was saved.

My house is clean, my house is clean, my house is clean. I just have some office rearranging to do and 2 loads of DS wash. I made a batch of Butterscotch oatmeal cookies and a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread that is baking right now.
Dinner last night was fun with Pastor and his wife. I made delicious lasagne, wonderful salad with green onion, cucumber, radish, and tomatoes. :t: We had garlic bread that I made the garlic spread for, and I made a Peach Dump Cake. :t: :t:
Both bathrooms are clean, house is dusted, house is vacumned, bedrooms are all clean, dishes are done with a load in DW for tonight when it will be full, beds are made, WOw I am basically done!!!!!!!
Dinner tonight is going to be stir-fry with beef strips and vegetables and white rice.
I think I am going to take a nap now.
I still want flowers here and springtime. I didn't get outside yesterday Wabby cause I was a cleaning machine. I did go to the grocery store and I took a Van load of stuff todonate to the Cap program. I am going to start on my clothing next. I am getting rid of junk I no longer want. an outdated post-it note with an upside-down dead ladybug on it. My house is not clean. No, indeed. Even though I got a head-start by DH this morning when he cleaned up the kitchen. I spent the whole afternoon messing it up again. I made shortbread cookies for him for his birthday, and almond crescents for DD's recital refreshments. Tomorrow is the big recital day. I don't know if anyone but DH and I will be going to see her play -- the place is an hour's drive so it's not very convenient. Her aunt wanted to go, but decided it would be too late an evening. I would like to think her grandparents would go, but DH forgot to even ask them. We will be at their house for dinner (noon) tomorrow, so we can ask them then. But quite frankly they would be more likely to go if she were playing basketball. They don't get this music thing.

I think a lovely hot pink for the door, Peaches.

I took a long nap and woke up at 5:30 my time so it was like 2 hours to sleep in my room with the lights off, doors closed and NO NOISE!!!!
DH made dinner for us. He did good and even remembered the white rice. He did add frozen red potatos with cheese and bacon bits added baked in oven to my dinner plans. How does Chinese and potatos gotogether? Oh well he made it and I did the dishes.
I think I will go and take a shower now. I still ned to make something for lunch at Church tomorrow.

I received this in email:

Hello All My Corpulent Darlings,

I have been meaning to sit down and write you but our computer has been on the fritz for the longest. I have asked Bill to come over and have a look but Melissa says he's just tooooo busy at this time with legal obligations. I suspect they're busy making plans for Letty's 56th birthday. I know I am. It's such a pleasure to have an elderly friend like that. It broadens one's perspective to be able to hear of historical events first hand. Did you know that when she first appeared on TV it was black and white?

How are you all doing with your weight control efforts? I've had a little worry myself on that account. My maid's feet swelled up to a five-and-a-half and could no longer wear my shoes when they went out of style. We took her for medical help immeidately and she's fine now.

Well, I must go. I had Peaches' email address stuck in my head. It is so easy to remember. I hope she doesn't mind posting this for me.

Fondly,

Marcella

And now she's got a waif-like friend, Marcella? What are these emaciated people doing on 3FATchicks, anyway? Do they lead exercise classes or something? They sound like that Karen character on Will and Grace.

No one called to tell me any bad news so I am supposing ds did not fall in a hole. Herbie is being polite. On his birthday, he and I are going to see Rent. I have gifts for him from the Dogpatch Antique Mart. An antique screwdriver and an antique books on salesmanship. "If a housewife tells you she doesn't need anything, ignore and display." You will check my profile and notice that I, Letty Morgan Lowell Reynolds Widener Dupont, am no where near 56. Marcella, on the other hand, was my babysitter when I was a child. Her governess used to pay my governess allow her to come and sit with me when I was just a tiny child. She was always such a backward child, she was never able to make any friends. Her governess thought that she could buy friends and make some priceless connections.

#$@$!! It wouldn't print the whole quote wherein Letty talks about Felicia's return from Sweet Briar and how they're going abroad. Who The Heck is FELICIA if not a dd who is being denied now that the truth is out about Letty-Stick's age???????

Felicia is my ward. She is a descends from the Russian Royal family and, as a result, her fortune has been all but lost. If you read T&C you would know this story as it was profiled extensivelywhen Felicia left for Sweet Briar several years ago.
She is such a lovely girl with many excellent prospects.

I know Kiwi is the best judge of this, but shouldn't Peaches be reported for picking on Letty like this? It isn't very nice. I really admire Letty for taking Felicia in and giving her every advantage. Naturally, Peaches would be bitter about that since she is so close to Marcella. Marcella is angry because Letty will not give her discarded clothing. But let's face it, it is a SIN for Marcella's hips to mar the lines of Letty's beautiful clothing. Since her stint in rehab, Marcella has put it on a little bit, wouldn't you say? AND aren't we all a bit suspicious as to why Marcella can't post herself. Can you say relapse????????
Oh well, I don't want to ruin my path to Perfect 2009 with such petty stuff. I am about to clean. I mean clean.

It's getting deeper around here than the you know what in the old cow pasture. :moo:

I'm back to work for my first full, long, boring, day.

My DD who is 22 years old!!!! left a note on the kitchen counter demanding $20 because someone ate her box of wheat thins. :dizzy: FIL is mad at us and we heard through the family grapevine that he is moving to Arizona, like that's going to upset us. :dizzy: I think they all just sit around trying to cook up ideas to drive me nutz.

Sugar, your posts are every bit as scintillating as mine are. And I'm here. :^:

I need advice on a social situation. Our very good friends daughter is getting married on saturday. The wedding will be for family only (parents, aunts, uncles, cousins & grandparents). We were sent an invitation to the reception only. I was talking to the mother of the bride about the wedding (which will be at a church, formal wedding dress, etc.) and she said "gosh, we really wish you could be there, why don't you come to the wedding, DD won't mind." Would you go? I really don't want to, because I felt if they wanted to invite us to the wedding we would have been sent a formal invitation (like the invitation to the reception). Now my friend is acting like it's hurting her feelings that we only plan on going to the reception. OK, Advise.

Lush

Wabby, aren't you wonderful to post. Who is paying for the wedding? Who were the invitations from? I would probably skip the wedding, but make up an excuse so that she wouldn't mind. Most likely this was one of those fighting points in the wedding planning and she is trying to get her way unofficially. You know how it is planning a wedding. She is probably right, but you don't want to be the thing they argue about the week after the honeymoon.
I could just about guarantee you that your family is trying to drive you nuts.
Ok, I have to go back to work.

Wabby yes your family is trying to drive you nuts. I want to see what size that box of Wheat This was to cost $20. They only cost $2.49 here not on sale I belive. I have seen then for $1.24 on sale even. So I assume that it was a hugh, gigantic box that was eaten? How can someone eat a box that large?
I agree with Lushiousbutt about the Wedding. How close are you to the DD? Have you decided what to do at this point? WHat are you going to wear?
Luciousbutt I have a new name for today for you.
SugP, Bagzz and Darling Peaches what have you been up to this wonderful morning?
MissLetty keep on posting and keep us laughing.
I still have a clean house. I am hanging pictures today in the office and cleaning the office. My dinner with Pasotr and his wife was wonderful. Miss Beth was telling everyone at Church how wonderful my lasagna was that it was better than hers.:o :o Now I will be expected to make it again.

Lush, I'm here to cheer you on. The tops of ceiling fans???? Are you trying to show off or what?

I'm confused about this whole wedding. This is my friends only daughter. They have issues. This girl put them through the wringer when she was a teenager. She quit school and got pregnant w/ a very not nice guy. She has since pulled herself out, the grandchild is 5, the daughter is in her 2nd year of college w/ a 4.0 grade average, and the guy she is marrying is ok marriage material. The wedding had been planned for June, when oooops! the DD became preggers again. The wedding date was moved up to January, and then my friend and her husband decided that they only wanted family at the ceremony, but 200 ppl for the reception. Their DD said she felt she was being punished for getting preggers. (I kinda think she was, but they insist not.) The wedding is being paid for by the bride's parents (our friends) the invitations were sent by the same. The invitations were for the reception, and if you were invited to the wedding, an insert was put in, inviting you. No insert in my invite, just a verbal, last minute invite the week before the ceremony. The DD and I are pretty good friends. I think she'd like me to be there, along with the other 199 ppl invited to the reception. We see these friends probably once a week, they go out to the races w/ us in the summer, I've heard about this wedding ad nauseum for the last year. I was ok w/ not being invited to the wedding, but I didn't like being asked to come as an afterthought. Advise, please.

Brattie, my DD's logic is thus: She was planning on eating the Wheat Thins for dinner :dizzy: - Since they were all gone, she had to go out for dinner, it cost $20. This sounds perfectly logical to her.

Your dD went to the same accounting school as my dd.
I still think you should skip the wedding. If you go, for the next thirty years you will represent a fight to this girl. None of her friends were allowed to come to the wedding, but her mom could bend the rules ....blah, blah, blah...you have a daughter, you are a daughter...you know what kind of issue this must be.
BUT make an excuse...a good one. Don't just decline the invite.
I am making good progress, even though I just talked on the phone for an hour and didn't do anything.
I'm going back to work. bye

That Sugar....she is probably sleeping while I'm cleaning. Can you believe it? And Kiwi! Don't get me started.
Wabby and Brattie, on the other hand, are good people and deserve clean houses...like mine.
Brattie, I like a clean house, too. I just don't like to do it.
I'm not finished with my last list, but I'm getting there. Then I have to pick up my DD and take her to inconsiderate dr who will make us wait hours to tell us that she is going to have to stay in her cast another two weeks. She is expecting to get out of it, I don't know why, so she will cry and be cranky at ME. Sweet me. Can you imagine?
I have to go browbeat my boys into doing homework.

to Bagz: "Blow it out yer shorts. Hudda on fat."

to Lush: Are you anal retentive or what?

to Brat: My closest friends call me Peaches. Darling is only a title.

to Kiwi: Can you read this?

to Sugar: You are the only normal person here. Please come and post. I am lonely. to Wabby: Do you trim those hooves or not?

(Can you tell I just finished reading the Ya Yas?)

I am wide awake and confused re point # 4 on your first list, Lush. What is a "fr" and why would I need to dust it and vacuum its edges?? I am soooo domestically challenged. :dizzy:

Wabby, I'd go with reception only and make an excuse. It's probably some thing between daughter and mom and it's not your fault if they can't agree. People are so hard to figure out.
What are you going to wear?

Stevie just forwarded me one of those thingies entitled "Why Men Shouldn't Babysit" with various pictures of infants eating out of dog bowls and being bathed in the sink with the dirty dishes etc. I have seem many variations on this theme (mostly sent by my beloved mother who regularily forwards me every bad joke and cheesy chain letter on the face of the internet), but some of them *were* pretty funny. Funny is good.

I swear I'm going to declutter something tomorrow. Nighty night!

Who would know?

No need to apologize for liking a clean house, brattie. I like other people's clean houses very much. I can't remember if I like my house clean :chin: I'll bet I would, if I ever got it that way. See, the problem with a certain number of us is that we are decidedly cleaning-impaired. Not that I would want to speak for anyone but myself of course. It's just not in our genes. You know how some people can't operate a computer to save their lives, no matter how many times you show them? Well, that's me and housekeeping.

That said, I spent the afternoon folding laundry and then, since I had nowhere to put it away, I did some old clothes weeding. I discovered that my under-bed storage containers could hold a heck of a lot more if I took all my t-shirts and folded them normally, then folded them in half again and stood them up in the boxes. Now I can even see them all, in case I need any before summer. This kind of picky-ness is why I never get the whole house clean, too.

That is the most confusing situation, Wabbit. It seems like both the parents and the dd would like you guys to be at the wedding, but if you go, you will stand out as the only non-family people there, so that might result in, at the very least, some uncomfortable moments. I think if you are considering going to the wedding, you should talk to the dd to see if anyone else has been invited after the fact like you. On second thought, Lush is right, why be fodder for future fights? Don't go. The best excuse is that you can't make it in time for the ceremony. Umm, you're going to family counseling to discuss the cost of Wheat Thins and you won't be done until right before the reception...

I just want to say I'm so excited about your new adorable little house, Peaches!! I will see if I can run into a moose next time I drive DD to her guitar lesson (we almost always see one on that drive).

Yes, Demanding Bagz, I do want Kiwi to catch me a moose. A baby one for the back yard would be ok. And there are pictures of the house but I can't access them. They're on a top-secret-real-estate-agent-only site. I have them on paper but they're tiny.

Happy MLK Day everyone. I worked today. Nothing else was open.

I won't go to the wedding, but I will be at the reception. I will be wearing - actually I don't know. All my nicer winter clothes are black. Is that terribly gauche to wear to a wedding reception? My friend will be singing at her DD's wedding. She wrote the song - it's beautiful and she did a preview performance for me and it was loverly, so at least I got to hear the musical part of the ceremony. And actually I have a baby shower to go to earlier in the day so I'd really be pushing it to make it to the wedding ceremony anyway. The baby shower is for a mutual friend of my lil sis's and I. My sis is giving the shower, along w/ 2 other friends. It will be at my parents absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous house, because since lil sis and her DH are separated, she has been staying there while my folks are in AZ for the winter. Anyhow, I received the invitation, and it says that it will be @ lil sis's home, blah, blah, blah, my parent's address, anytown, USA. I know I'm being petty, but it really yanked my chain. It's not her house, it's my mom's house. Do you think I have a case of house envy? This is the same lil sis who blew a gasket over my older sister staying at my parent's house last winter. I guess this is just my day for being petty.

Peaches, why would I want to trim cow hooves? My brother used to raise goats (long story) and he did trim goat hooves. I have enough to take care of doing my own pedicures. Where are the pictures of your new house?????

I like other ppl's clean houses and I like my house to be clean, it just never stays that way. I went to bed last night w/ a clean kitchen, shining sink, dishwasher running. By the time I got up, the sink was full of dirty dishes and the counters were all crumby. I have gremlins. :s:

Lush

Good decision, Wabby. You are not being petty about the sister. Relatives are presumptious.
My sissy is a big(and I do mean big)PITA. She's getting a new house, and she told me that I can't come to visit but I should send presents...can you believe it? She hasn't even shown a pic of the house. She expects me to believe that she can't access the website but I think it is because she doesn't want me to know how big it is so she doesn't have to entertain any houseguests.
I've been off for hours....DD went to DR who has her in an immobilizer for another week. She has to go to physical therapy three times a week and it will be MONTHS until her knee is ok. Even then, she'll have to wear a brace to play sports or do anything mildly demanding.
I get SICK of yelling at kids to keep their rooms neat. I must go do so now. When I'm finished, I'm going to do my kitchen. bye

PITA Pain In The Arse. I just wanted to say that. MY family here are all PITA's and I do not like them today.
Somedays I wish I was still single with no boyfriend/husband and no step-kids. Having a job and buying what I wanted when I wanted. Staying up until 4 AM clubbing and sleeping in until 2PM and then getting up and going to lunch with friends.
Sometimes being a Wife and a Mom sucks and I hate it. Does anybody else ever feel that way?
Gee can anyone tell I am a bit stressed today?

Doesn't PITA have something to do w/ animal rights????

I'm really, really trying to be good and actually have my desk all cleaned off by the end of the day. And yet I am here.

I only yell at my kids when it gets so bad they can't close their doors. My DD cleans her room once a week, but in between she just drops her clothes where ever. DS is a true slob.

I wish I had something interesting to say. I wish I had something interesting going on in my life. On topic, I ate my cereal for breakfast, and will go walking after work today, in the rain, I am such a die hard. I am giving myself at least one more week off of Curves.

Sissy, you WONDER what a PITA is? Puhleeze. Think about the cashmere sweater with the circle pin that you borrowed and stretched out in 1971 when I was in high school and you were many years past college gradution. Had you been the right kind of woman, you would have batted out a few kids then when you were supposed to. But no. You were a PITA and insisted on waiting until you were the whole way over the hill. Shame.

Enough with how I struggle in the sister dept.

I'm sick, sick, sick of driving people places. I am quite a way from any new drivers...dd won't drive until she is 17.

I must go drive people places.

Where was I? I think your memory is poor. You never left the house except to babysit for the Lagosta family.the cashmere sweater with the circle pin that you borrowed and stretched
You were always so flat-chested.

You can say this about the mother of your nephew?? Shame back.

Why won't dniece drive until she's 17? I think that's wonderful. Here in Dogpatch, kids are in accidents constantly. Driving is a must here. If this is her decision, I'm proud of her. If it's yours, ho hum.

I want boiled peanuts. Are they really yummers? I like family a bit more than earlier today. DD had a seizure and is now sleeping it off. She was a PITA all day. DH is going to be gone for a few days so I get the whole bed to myself for a couple of nights. DS is a brat. I am getting him tested for ADD next week. Have to go to school with him tomorrow and discuss another issue.

Brattie, you may not have peanuts until you reach your mini goal. Please be reasonable. Bagz uses them in her garden. While I'm giving tips, I will share this one from Diptionary: "IOU gifts are often the most valuable and appreciated of all. Make up a coupon that is redeemable for something you do well, and tuck it inside a meaningful card. Examples: Shuttle service to and from an airport, babysitting the kids so Mom and Dad can have a day of fun, a day of general repair. Give what you do best, and you will have givent he best gift of all."

It boggles the mind to think what some of you could give. Five hours of condescencion from Lush would be a real treat?

Did you see this? It will be in T&C next month. Miss Marcella Tyler, you looked beautiful!

My this has been a struggle! When Bill realized how desperately I needed a computer, he sent over a new laptop that his company is working on. Of course, he sent a technician with it to get it working properly. I explained to the man that I could post with my friends here as the system didn't seem to recognize me, but he only laughed. Men! So I had to reregister with a nickname. I don't expect any of YOU to use this name though.

Thank you Letty for digging up that picture. I designed that outfit myself.

I suggest no one eat peanuts. They are filled with fat. Sandwiches are just fine with a simple leaf of lettuce and a drop of wine vinegar.

I was eating a Dairy Queen dilly bar last night and DH actually told me "you don't need that" ----- He claims that I once said if he quit smoking I promised to lose weight. Can you imagine!!!??? He has been smoke free for 9 days. He's incredibly mean.

Letty, be careful when you visit Marcella in rehab. I hear they have it in for you for ipecac dependence.

Lush, enjoy your children's pre-driving days while you can. Be careful what you wish for. DS has rented an apartment and will be moving out on Feb. 1. :D :( :D :( I have very mixed feelings about this.

I'd start another thread, but I don't want to deprive anyone of that gorgeous pic of Marcella. She is a style icon, isn't she?
I am not mad at Sissy anymore. She admitted she was wrong so I can now overlook anything she does. Now, if Wabby would just DO HER PART everything would be perfect.
Hmmmmmmm.....what shall I do today? I am considering another cleaning day. Or, a bum day. What to do? What to do?
I think I will start by going to have lunch with my mother. It is my new system. It assures that I visit every day but does not make my after school life impossible.
I think I will do that.
Then I will come home and vac the entire house. I find that is a good start to cleaning because for some reason, when the floor is dirty, I can't see any other mess in the room. You would laugh at that statement if you could see my bedroom.
gotta go.

Oh, Hi Wabby. I would have to draw and quarter DH for a statement like that. Anyway, you are adorable. My DH began responsible eating with me on the 1st. It is disgusting how quickly they take it off.
The NJ driving age is 17. They can get a permit at 16 but that's it.
DD couldn't drive anyway. She is immobilized from ankle to thigh on her right leg.
Now I really am going to go.

Well out here on the frontier the driving age is 16, but they can't drive for 6 mos. (I think) with anyone else under 18 in the car. Then after they have documented a certain number of hours of driving experience they get more driving rights. Too many kids climbing in cars w/ a half dozen of their friends to distract them and getting in horrible accidents. Even so, both of my kids had been in accidents within the first 6 mos. of getting their licenses.

I'm voting for the bum day, Lush. You've been cleaning too much lately. It's making me tired. :tired:

Is anyone going to start a new thread? I can't think of any moo or cow related titles. :moo:
