Default <3 Weekly Chat July 10 - July 16 <3

Hey everyone!

Since I was MIA last week, I'll go ahead and get things started for this one.

I'm spending the afternoon cleaning, doing laundry, and trying not to eat too much. I have been having a really hard time getting back on track now that my vacation is over. I seem to have forgotten what "Eat x amount of calories and do not go past it" means. Siiiigh.

I need new goals to work toward... maybe losing weight for the race? I have no idea. I just need to mentally re-focus, I think. Blah. Feeling bloaty and flabby. My weigh-in tomorrow morning is going to be downright scary. I weighed once when I got back and was horrified... I have a feeling things haven't changed much.

In other news, it is right around 90 degrees today and crazy humid. I am supposed to a 5 mile run per my training schedule, and I think I'm going to try and wait until dinner time and see if some of the heat dissipates. It won't be a pleasant experience, that's for sure.

Anywho, what's everyone got in store for the upcoming week?

Hey Everyone!
Okay so today is the LAST DAY of Month 1 of Insanity, it's Sunday so it's my day "off." I'm going to do the Fitness Test later this afternoon though that I'm supposed to do tomorrow so I don't have to do that AND the recovery stuff in the same day. I'm super stoked because the scale is down to 161 today! YESSSSSS get me in the 150s baby!!!!!!! That means I've lost about 7 lbs this month, and I KNOW that I've put on a TON of muscle so far, I'm already feeling and looking more toned! My hubby did Plyometric Cardio Circuit with me last night (super hard core workout!) and he was sweating and puffing just like me lol! He is a former college football player (American football) and is in great shape so it was nice for him to tell me that he's sore today and I'm not lol! Hope everyone's week starts off well, I got to watch the USA women pull off the unthinkable today in the World Cup (this is my FAVORITE sporting event EVER I am going to Canada in 2015 to watch games soccer is my life!) and I got to eat a waffle for splurge day! Hope you all have a great day too!

FPSJ-Vacation makes things hard, it's so difficult to calorie count if you are going out, or are constantly around foods you don't normally eat. I know if there are snacks just laying around I won't even think and just randomly pick up something here or there and before I know it POOF there goes 500 calories! Just jump back into plan you will be fine now that you can hunker down back in the routine! Good luck on the 5 mile run, I hate those days when it's hot and the last thing you want to do is get out and run around! Just think how much sweat you will lose and burn those calories! Good luck!

Thanks munster! It was rough. I am drippy. But I finished, and with a decent pace too

Sounds like you had an awesome workout and a delightful splurge day. Love the motivation to workout... I lost a little but of my pazzaz from relaxing on vaca... gotta get back in gear. Keep it comin'! hahaha

I need one serious shower.....

Hi! I'd love to chat. :-) Just past half-way on a 100-Day Challenge. Hitting the hump and feeling BLAH!

FPSJ- I'm going on vacay in August...my final 10 days of the Challenge. Horrible timing, and I'm freaking out already.

Munster- I've Insanity is just that...insane. LOL Do you like it? I've been sampling a bunch of different things, since I haven't really worked out in years. I've even started working out with my hubby, too....NEVER thought that would happen!

My boys were sick this weekend and we got NO sleep. It was torture sticking to the plan. I can handle most any emotional craziness now..within my caloric limit...but no sleep is horrid. I had eaten 300+ cals from 3-6am at the ER with my 3 year old. Made for a LONG day.

FPSJ-Great job on the 5 mile run!!!! That's awesome. OMG my 6 month old is shrieking her little head off because I am not looking at her lol she is right next to me, wow talk about getting her personality! I'm so glad you got that in and how good you probably feel! I know the vaca mentality is hard to shake lol because it feels so good.

Chickie-Hi! Congrats on making it to 50 days! That's awesome! YOU CAN DO that last 10 days! Just keep truckin sister! LOL! I LOVE INSANITY!!!!!!!!!!! It is seriously insane, I was a collegiate soccer player and run marathons before, during, and after two pregnancies and this is the hardest workout I have ever done. OMG I sweat and puff and muscles burn like nothing ever before! If you are looking for a plateau blaster, this is it! It gets you motivated and coming back for more torture every day lol! Keep up the hard work

Blew my longest-yet binge free streak one day short of 3 weeks. Dammit! More proof that I'm a work in progress and not "cured" like I thought I was. It was a classic bad day, just eating tons all day and finishing off with a thousand calories of chocolate right before bed.

I feel absolutely gross and have felt that way all weekend. Something about the insufferable heat, being unhappy with my skin (have a dark sun tan which I HATE, and breakouts), and having skimped on running the past couple weeks just makes me feel crazy.

Ohhh Krampus, what is with us!? I just ate approximately.... 1,000 -ish? calories of GRANOLA. Just because it was there. and crunchy. and the only sweet thing in the house.

Further proof that I still can't buy "trigger" foods. Bleh.

Here's the "Monday" fresh start. Blaaahhhh.

I kind of fell off last week with keeping up to date. I kind of suck. I kind of drank too much on Saturday night. URGH. I feel so stupid. I know what I need to do to lose the rest, but I just seem to continue doing this silly maintenance-on-the-verge-of-gaining thing.

Sorry for no personals right now. I am feeling a bit jaded and woe-is-me. And tired, super tired. Stupid Monday. I'm glad it's Monday night now and I have either a dvd with boyfriend or episode of True Blood to watch. And chocolate. Hah. I fail!

I'll have to come back and do personals tomorrow; I am just too tired . Big to those of you struggling with binging: I had one of those days when I wanted to binge too and just barely squeaked by.

I really want to participate more in the weekly chats! I like keeping up with everyone here, so at some point when I haven't had an ambien I'll keep up a little bit more . The job hunt continues tomorrow, but I *might* have an in at a job doing direct support for developmentally disabled adults. It doesn't pay enough to cover my student loans, but it's enough for me to move out from my parents and get on my own while I look for a higher-paying job!

rainbow--- Yeeeaaahhh. I'm a wee bit ambivalent myself. Ohh well. We'll get through it. I have heard so many people talking about True Blood! I'll have to check it out.

Chloe-- Hope you had a good Ambien sleep. Fingers crossed for the job!

Sooo I am up by 2 lbs. Expected, for sure. I think I'll spend the rest of July just getting back to where I was before vacation, and then re-focus on additional loss and joining the daily weigh-in thread for August.

Trying to get myself motivated for a long workout this morning, to balance out planned pizza with friend tonight.

*yawn* Sadly, just used last of coffee. Must remedy that.

Happy Monday ladies!

I have boot camp today and I work at 5pm at my part-time job. Which went very well on Saturday, the people are super nice and cool unlike the catty tw@ts I was working with at a bingo hall. Their afternoon part-time girl can't work all week so I get her afternoon shifts (Which will help me catch on completely by the time saturday rolls around for my shift I'll be golden. I love being a fast learner.) I'm enjoying it so far, minus the phone calling and constantly talking to people but I'm hoping it brings me out of my shyness and anxiety I get from it.

I packed my gym bag which is full with gym clothes, towels, hair products, makeup and hair straightner. I can't go home right after work because traffic is horrible once 4 O'clock hits and it'll be a waste of time and gas. so I have 2.5 hours to waste and today is wet and rainy go figures every week when Stampede comes it rains. haha.

Munster - Congrats on sticking through a whole month of Insanity haha. I might pick it up again next month who knows.

Fatpants - ah yes being up two pounds sucks. I'm still stuck at the wonderful 158 yet again.

I'm broke this week so I can't binge and I'm so friggen hungey I don't really have food in my house, but I remembered I put a bunch of money on a credit card so I can probably buy some food but my parents get the bill so I'm not sure how much money is on it. So boot camp plus starvation mode isn't a good thing. Oh friday come sooner .

Miz-Yay for new jobs with people who don't suck lol! I hope that your gym time goes well, at this point I would kill for 2.5 hours to fill for myself lol. Between the hubby and the 3.5 year old and 6 month old I sometimes find myself ready to scream from the constant feeling of go go go. I hope you have fun and also don't worry too much about being stuck, you will get past the pesky 158! Yea, month 1 was hard to get through but I am DREADING month 2 because the workouts freakin kick *** and I am SCARED! LOL keep working the bootcamp it's awesome!

Rainbow-I'm sorry you are feeling down, sending big your way. Just thing Monday will soon be over and you are so much closer to Friday when it is! You can get past those blues...your journey is such an inspiration and it really helps me to keep on working hard to see how far you have come!

Chloe-Good luck with your job, it sounds like you might have something there with the "in" you have. It would be awesome to move out and start being independent! I know all about student loans, between my Master's and my husband's we have a crap load of student loans and they SUCK! LOL! Sending good job vibes to you!

FPSJ-I LOVE PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!! Haha, have fun tonight and kick *** in the long workout!

So today I'm so tired the baby woke up at 5:30am . Jeeze! LOL, she just sort of plays and gurgles but she is SO LOUD. I never go get her before 7am and she usually goes back to sleep until then but wow today I am feeling it lol. Start "recovery" week for Insanity today, we will see how the workouts go. I'm going to the gym first to burn some calories just in case they aren't as hard as the other ones! Hope you all get through Monday and keep workin hard!

This week is too busy! On my way out for dinner at a friend's place, have a birthday dinner for another friend tomorrow night, dinner out with my parents on Thursday, Harry Potter on Friday... geez. Film Festival starts on Thurs as well and I have tickets to see 11 films - so that will also suck up a lot of my time. I will try to check in when I can but I'm sorry to not be so active, I've really been trying to get back in here as I feel like it's the first step in actually getting back on the right track for me.

hey guys!! sorry i've been awol for a while... but remember my *****ing about the scale not moving? yeah well, it's still doing that, but the ****ed up thing is that i ate all over the place all weekend (mostly still kinda well, but higher-cal foods and booze) and sunday was just a massive sweets-fest, and guess what? weighed myself monday morning and scale said the same thing it did on friday. what. the. f*ck. it's making me think that when i do wanna lose weight, maybe my body thinks i am trying to starve it or something? so it shuts down and refuses to let go of the weight? has anybody else come across that? i don't think i'm eating too little... usually 1400-1600calories... i really dunno what's up. meh.

in other matters this week has been really harsh so far. too many classes, no a/c (in the classes) and i just get home dead. meh. at least yesterday i decided to chop up a bunch of vegetables and put them in a tupperware, so they will be there for me when i get home, feeling like i wanna eat something but don't wanna prepare anything...

MiZ, lol at you being too poor to binge! i'm in a similar position, although tbh i havent had an actual binge in quite some while... still, i realized that when i do binge, i spend SO much money on food!!! insane! dieting is good for my wallet too! lol.

Hi everyone! I've been busy this past week - the boyfriend has been staying with me and my parents are still away, which has knocked me off my normal routine! I've been terrible at drinking water, I've been varying the 180-183 lbs mark for a week. I hit 181 for my official Sunday weigh in but I've been fluctuating ever since. Why can't my body just stick to one number?!

The good news is that I've been getting back into my training for the 10k. I ran a 5k on Sunday which was good, did it in 41:12 which I was happy with! My foot injury has been on and off. Some days it's super painful and others it's fine. I'm going to be doing a 3 mile run today, hope I can make it without limping home! The new ASICS have definitely helped!

I'll probably have time today to catch up with everything in the forums because we're having a night in at last! Phew! I love socialising and doing things but there are days where I just want to sit on my *** and do nothing!
