Mini Goal Club, anyone? Yes Please!
I don't know about you all, but looking through the threads gets me really motivated, however my "motivation" usually only lasts a day or two at a time. While I'd love to be the person to make a 90 day goal, or a 30 day goal, I'm more of a one day at a time type of gal. Even week long goals seem kind of ambitious for me. Since I was a kid, I've needed to see constant progress in order to stick with something...and so, I stick with mini goals. These are usually 2-3 day promises to myself that I work for in addition to my major goals so I feel like I'm always moving and won't get discouraged as quickly. Once the goal is achieved, I usually stick at that one for the remainder of the week/month/etc. and add another one on. Recently, I've ignored them all and have to start over. SO, who wants to join me in setting mini goals?
Just list your goal, and check back in either daily, or at the end of your time to let us know how you did and to set the next one.
My Goal: To do both cardio and strength everyday for 3 days
The Plan:
Day 1: Jackie Warner Lower Body + 30 min bike ride
Day 2: Jackie Warner Upper Body + 30 min swim
Day 3: Jackie Warner Lower Body + 30 min quick walk
Hopefully I'll have a few of you ladies to join me so I won't be alone in this.
--For those of you who are looking for other mini goals and aren't sure what to do, some of the ones I've done in the past include upping water intake, eating veggies/fruits, stretching after workouts, limiting time spent watching tv, etc.
