I don't know if it will work for your situation but being single and mostly lending up small portions of whatever i LOVE my magic bullet. I use it for tons of stuff and it works perfectly but only for 2 cups of stuff at a time or less.

Corazonas post reminded me,

I dont need a full sized blender. It would be solely used for my shakes and my kids slushies in the summer.

Default Love my Ninja!

I bought my Ninja at Wal-Mart for about $40. It has two different sized containers and 4 blades. The small one is perfect for mixing up soft serve or chopping onions. It crunches up ice like a dream.

Cuisinart. That is all.

I had mine for over 20 yrs and just recently replaced the blade last year and put my new Haier in the closet!

Then a magic bullet would be perfect! it comes with the large/ small blending containers plus 4 more large size containers with handles to make and serve drinks all in one cup.

This is so weird! I was just searching to see if this topic has been discussed! Crazy!!! I went to a friend's gym the other day and my friend had a smoothie (they make it with the whey and fruit, ice, etc) and the thing mixed up in seconds, ice and fruit...amazing...so I ask the girl and she says...waring pro...so amazon has it ...commercial grade and not too badly priced (well bad for a blender but not bad in general). I am so sick of my black and decker can't even blend my banana!!!!!

Well I spent awhile looking at all Wal-mart had to offer. My oldest would say I spent way too long. I ended up with the Magic Bullet. It was under $50 and thats pretty much what I wanted to spend.

Now I need to find a way for it to travel as I work three 13 hour shifts. It definately is small enough to be portable.

Oh I just ordered my first shipment of MF. I definately understand the excitement people talk about waiting for it to arrive.

Go with the Magic bullet, its just the right size for everything and pretty handy, I've got mine plugged in at work and it's awesome. It comes with a million parts but once you figure out the cup and blade you use most you only need those.

I use my magic bullet, if you just want a single serving... it's amazing. It makes me my "baby food" veggie smoothies in a snap.

I just biught a GE blender similar to the Magic Bullet. 5 cups to blend with. Works with ice. Only $20 at Walmart. I love it.

Update:

I have a Bullet at home and a Hamilton Beach at work.

I like both of them but:

Hamilton beach is bigger and touts you can drink out of the glass. There is no way I am drinking out of the glass with those blades staring at me every time I tilt the glass. I like the size of the container of the HB better than the Bullet.

Bullet motor just feels more durable. The HB smokes every time I use it and really only like to be used on pulse. The Bullet I can just turn on and click it off after 10-15 secs. If the bullets glasses were just a bit bigger I would LOVE it. I tried using the bigger blender like contain but stuff just FLEW out the sides of the lid.. Very messy and wont do that again.
