Default 10 Things you want to do before you turn 30

Doesn't have to be related to weight, though I suspect a lot of us have weight and fitness-related goals in there!

Mine are, in no order:

1.) Live in a large European city for longer than three months
2.) Start a Roth IRA investment account (exciting, I know)
3.) Be mistaken for a very young teenager
4.) Perform vocals in a band as either a regular or special occasion/gig thing
5.) Actually be around for my friends' weddings (I've missed like four by living in Japan for three years)
6.) Run a half marathon
7.) Enter an eating contest
8.) Own an item of clothing below a size 4 (does not compute with #7)
9.) Attend an open air heavy metal festival
10.) Total luxury splurge romantic vacation somewhere with my boyfriend, similar to a honeymoon but minus the married part

I'm 24, so I have almost 6 years to get this all done.

I like those goals! I have always wanted to live in either London or Paris for a summer; I took a 2-week vacation to London last summer but it's not quite the same.

I'm 26, so in the next 4 years I have 4 goals:

1. Graduate college. I've been trying since I was 17, and I'm on track to do it by 28.

2. Learn another language. I'm up in the air right now about whether it's Sign Language, Mandarin, or French.

3. Make solid plans to have children. At this point, I don't know that I want to get married, but I definitely want to have children at about 30.

4. Find a way to sing or dance with other people at least once a week.

I'm going to be 23 in two weeks... So I'll have seven years to complete my goals...

(1) Graduate from Law School (I should in 2013)
(2) Lose between 40 and 50 pounds
(3) Feel like I am a role model for my 9 year old sister
(4) Save enough money to feel comfortable and eliminate the stress money problems cause
(5) Feel comfortable in my own skin
(6) Get married to my wonderful fiance and start our life together (edit: meaning buy a home, etc.)
(7) Run a half-marathon
(8) Make myself a priority
(9) Touch up on my French, and maybe become fluent
(10) And maybe, just maybe start a family just prior to turning 30.

I'm 24.5, so I have 5.5 years to...

1-record an album with at least half the songs being originals I've written
2-start working on some kind of degree/schooling
3-take care of all my debt (I don't have a ton but still more than I'd like)
4-get my own place again-- I've had roommate(s) for the past 4 years and miss being on my own
5-go to a country outside North America
6-drive cross country
7-ride in a hot air balloon
8-get Michelle Obama arms (muscle, not color)
9-buy a piano or keyboard with weighted keys
10-date a good dude who loves me and treats me well

i really haven't thought about this much. going to be 30 in...carry the 2...uh next year i guess. 2012.
already have the family.
3 kids, undecided if i want another one.
already in my house, just moved in! (buying not renting)
already graduated, have a degree.

i really want to be in great shape. felt great already this morning, getting back into the weight training.

want to compete in an event. like a 5k, some kind of sporting event. i'm not good at any sports, but i can walk a long ways, maybe run if i work on my form.

want to look, normal sized, check (like other moms that are healthy)

want to look totally fit, have to work on that one. not always motivated to try lol.

hiking a trail, canoeing, camping for real as an adult or with my kids. this summer, and as much as i can. not just before i'm 30.

i'd like to get back to drawing/painting. i did that alot in high school. i loved how artistic, talented, accomplished i felt. no real goal, like selling them. just for fun. and to be able to do it without a teacher guiding me. i can never seem to be good at drawing on my own, outside the classroom. but i know it's just in my head.

be able to keep my house clean, without cleaning it all day long. this is hard to workout, but i'm trying to work on it.

I'm 24...and all the things I want to achieve seem kind of silly!

1) Stop having money be a constant source of stress.
2) Move/live in a place with my boyfriend and be free to decorate etc...
3) Decide whether or not art is actually something I want to pursue, and if so, get on with it!
4) Start singing again, ideally in either a folk-pop or electro-pop type of group/ensemble
5) Get a puppy!
6) Be able to afford to look after a puppy!
7) (A complete dream) Live in Venice, Italy for a few months.
8) Visit Japan and the other places I want to go.
9) Get to and maintain a weight/size I'm comfortable with.
10) NOT have children.

Oh, what's today? LOL, I will be 30 in December. YUCK.

Already married.
Already own a house and a car. (and 3 cats and a dog!)
Already have a pension, and a 401K.

I'd like to reach my goal weight by then, I know I will, but I'd like to have that under my belt.

I would have liked to have gone to college. It wasn't affordable after HS, but now I work for a company that will pay 90% if I get A's... So, there's that. One day soon.

I want to run 5 5K's by then. I have 3 scheduled, my first is on 3/6, so I just need to get 2 more before December.

Sheesh. I remember being like, 22, and thinking "30 is so far!" but it's totally not. It's not. So many things have happened since then, but it feels like yesterday. lol.

I'm 22.5 so I've got some several years to make these things happen. I guess some of these things may look a little small and trivial, but, well, I guess to me they're not.

1. Get my masters degree.
2. Have an amazing vegetable garden.
3. Maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
4. Read all of Ulysses.
5. Have a child.
6. Visit the grave of John Keats.
7. Become a do-er.
8. Write enough poetry for a collection, even if no one sees it.
9. Learn to play the upright bass.
10. Learn to cook.

Eeek, I feel old. I'm turning 30 in November so not much time left. I already own a home, got a dog, did college and law school, lived abroad and have a successful career so it makes me feel a teensy bit better about nearing the big 3-0. Still, I would like to:

1) Reach my goal weight.
2) Start dating again.
3) Take a week off of work and go some place amazing (since I've started working 5 years ago I haven't really taken a week's vacation).
4) Get my 9 month old dog to listen to me on walks.
5) Take a dance class (even if it is exercise-dance).
6) Love working out.

Not 10 things but I only have 9 months to do them all.

I'm 28 so have a couple years...

1. Achieve and maintain a lean toned body!
2. Expand my professional wardrobe to clothe the lean toned body.
3. Expand my fun wardrobe to do the same.
4. I'm married close to 2 years and have the house, puppy and cats... does that mean I want to get pregnant before 30...? hmmmm
5. Bring my career to the next level (guess 4 may not be likely afterall )
6. Take vacations in as many places as possible. 1st on the list is Germany, then Vegas!
7. Get better at snowboarding!
8. Get cowboy boots. Pretty ones.
9. Be a regular at the gym for the long term
10. Always be confident of how damn good I look all the time.
