i'm still new to this board and not really sure where to post this but i wanted to tell it anyway...

so last weekend i went shopping for a birthday party outfit to wear at my dear friend's 35th. i decided to buy a frilly animal print mini skirt. i had to buy it in a sz 16!!! I got it at the store called newyork&co. and every one knows they run big.

16 and mini don't go together. LOL

Who is the moderator moving things around? Don't know why my thread was moved to "looking good and feeling great" because it's just the opposite.

thanks i already wore it and i paired it bare legs and stilletos.

the original post was a vent with a side of self deprication but, somehow it got moved to feeling and looking good section.

Wear what makes you happy! Confidence is the key. I am almost 46 years old and I wear ruffled mini skirts all the time I am sure you rocked it!

I totally agree with the "just because they make it, doesn't mean you should wear it" sentiment. I'm not trying to be down on us squishier ladies, but there are some things that are only flattering on toned bodies! I do not need a bikini, not even because they make them in my size.

I'm a size 16/18 and i wear short skirts and dresses all the time. I pretty much always pair with tights. To date, no one's retinas have been burned by the sight of my thighs and legs. So... I'm safe!

As TamiL said...confidence is the key!
