Default Special K Challenge

Sooo I know there are like a million diets out there…but I am reaaaally trying to lose the baby weight and this one was intriguing since I LOVE Special K cereal. Apparently walmart is promoting this challenge that helps you lose weight buy eating Special K products. They are even offering a coupon. Even though it sounds easy I would really like to hear some feedback if any of you have tried it out!?

If your diet consists mostly of Special K, you will be missing out on a lot of nutrients. I haven't tried the Special K diet, but I would imagine you'd be starving all the time. It isn't very filling and the reason they say you'd lose weight is because you wouldn't be eating many calories. If you reduce your calories and eat a variety of healthy nutrient dense foods, you'll lose weight too.

I just went and pulled a box out of the pantry. The first ingredient rice. it doesn't say brown rice so I'm betting it is white rice and so missing a lot of good stuff. Third ingredient is sugar, fifth is HFCS.

That doesn't sound like a good basis for a healthy daily diet. It is low in calories but you aren't getting very much for those calories.

I guess the link got removed...but I figured that if a couple bowls of cereal replace bigger more caloric meals that it should = weight loss? Am I wrong. Anyways, I figured it would be worth a try.

IIRC, you can incorporate all the Special K products as part of the plan....the bars, the cereal, the shakes, etc. Almost like SlimFast IMO.
