Default Experienced Exercisers - What Can I Do in Two Weeks?

You 3FC fitness jocks out there, I need your help. I feel a little silly posting this, but you are all so experienced and wise.

I've been in "training" for a dance music festival, which is 24 hours of music and dancing over 3 days. Literally, I could be dancing for 72 hours straight, if I could possibly handle that.

For the past 3 months, I have been getting in shape for the festival by running, walking, biking and dancing. I tested my dance endurance this weekend and was able to be on my feet dancing & walking for 7 hours without sitting down once (except for restroom breaks).

I'm pretty happy with my fitness, but the festival is less than three weeks & I am not sure what I should do with my fitness. I want to build my endurance as much as I can for two weeks & then I will have a few days rest before the festival.

Is it possible to get in better shape in two weeks? How do I "peak" at the right time?

Thanks.

Is there a reason you would dance for 72 or even 7 hours straight without stopping to rest your body? I'd think that to get the most enjoyment out of the 3 days (instead of crashing after 1 day) I'd be sure to sleep well, fuel up on healthy foods, and be sure I had enough water.

Dance music is more than exercise, it's a passion bordering on obsession. People will dance all night & then find an afterparty and dance some more. The dance parties that are scheduled at the festival last for 24 hours- people will pop in and out all day/night.

I can't wait for the festival & I'm so pleased that I in good physical shape for it. Yes, I will rest, eat and hydrate, but hopefully I'll be dancing in between.

I guess the closest I can compare this to is an ultra or a multi day event. In which case not much to be done in 2 weeks. Keep doing what you are doing and ease up a few days before the event. Have fun!
