Because I quit my job after 8.5 years and have to provide my own clothes...no more uniform for me (unless I get in the RCMP someday). I am going back to school to get my degree, and I don't want an increase in size, because then I'd have to buy more clothes and money's going to be tight! I threw out or gave away all the big clothes I had before I lost weight so I wouldn't have any "fat clothes" to go back to.

Because I overslept this morning, so I didn't have time for my usual 40 min. of cardio. Instead I did 30-Day Shred (level 2 -- I like the plank twists), since it's only 20 minutes. I haven't done it for a couple months, and I used to DREAD it because it was so hard. This morning it was -- dare I say it -- easy.
So I haven't lost any weight in nearly three months, but I've certainly improved my fitness a great deal.

Because last night was not great (life-wise, not diet-wise) and this morning I am going to have to deal with the stress of getting my car unstuck from the hill where I abandoned it in the snow. I can't control the weather or the damage my car suffered when it got hit last night, but I can control how I react to the stress. In the long run eating right will help me deal a lot more successfully than eating sugar and carbs.

Everyone is starting to really see the differences my dad grabbed my stomach the other day and asked where the rest has gone. LOL it made me chuckle and actually feel good about myself. Sadly I still have quite a bit of stomach to lose but at least it's going!! I need to stay on plan and seriously get out of the 220s, it's driving me CRAZY!

Because I woke up at 4 am, excited with life. I look back on the 42 years I've been on earth and it's gone by in a flash. I look forward to the year it will take (or more, no pressure!) to get to goal and it feels like it will take forever! In reality, a year isn't that long and it will go by anyway! I might as well get healthy in the process!

because I'm seeing scale numbers lower than I've ever seen in my adult life and I like it.
because the more weight I lose the easier running becomes and the closer I get to the me in my head who is running a marathon.
