Default Recommendations on Medifast

Hi everyone...I am new here and was introduced by a friend. I am having fun reading through all the posts, and was considering a medifast diet. The foods seem a bit expensive but I am hearing good things about them. Anyone care to share some pros and cons with a newbie?

Thanks in advance for your help...

JT

Please read all the threads and there is a hair loss thread, I posted what happened to me. I also think all that soy is not good for me and affects the hormons, (sp) so I would get more with whey protein if at all possible, just IMHO from science that I found on many sites about soy that has come out. So try a mix of proteins. I am posting here cause you asked.

Medifast works and I lost weight quickly with it, but I just couldn't keep with it because it was so restrictive (I love carbs!) and I am a budding "foodie", and the food just didn't get me excited. So it all depends on what you think you need out of a diet. Do you need something that is rigid to keep you on track, or do you need a little bit of freedom to choose what you are eating (within reason, of course!)? Let us know what you are looking for in a diet.

I do like it for the ease and less cooking, I have to say. Saves me time too.
