Hope it is ok that I started a thread for chatting in September.
Sorry for the cheesy title.....I'm not terribly creative. :o
Hope that everyone is having a good week.....I am looking forward to an awesome September with lots of weight loss!!
It's gonna be a GREAT month!!! I think I can......I think I can......I know we can!!
(sorry - didn't have the best August ever....so I'm thinking that I need lots of motivation for September! ;))

Good for you for starting the thread....think I fell down on the job LOL actually playing with grandbaby hehe
It is going to be so awesome. I am looking forward to a loss since I have not been able to weigh for two weeks now and won't be home until sept 6th so will almost have missed three weigh in's
Since being with daughter I have not been able to do my usual DVD's for exercise (just no room) and have been walk/jogging around a small lake near the apt -- .5 mile walk to lake, 3.5 miles around .5 mile walk back whoo hoo
well check back in later

I'd like to join! I started WW for the second time late July and have lost almost 8 pounds (and was on a 10-day vacation in August). I'd love to have motivation to keep going! I seem to be keeping to my points this week so I'd love to get to my first 10 pound goal!
I weigh in on Friday/Saturday.

I did really good Monday. I was kind of worried that since I had a loss I would splurge on points a little. But, I was able to stay on track and do well for the day. I did great yesterday during the day. Then 30 minutes before I left work, they told me I am being laid off in 2 weeks. Needless to say, it was a large coke and nachos for dinner. Not a great choice, but it happened. After sleeping some of the frustration away, I woke up in a decent mood today. Ready to get back on track this morning and remain that way.
Best of luck to everyone this month. We can do it!

Welcome alanadoodle....glad to have you here!:D
nancy - I think it is so great that you have been able to spend this time with your daughter and her new baby girl. Sounds like you have done great considering you have not had total control over fixing all the meals and you have done an awesome job with exercising! I really need to do a better job with the exercising part....
Chopper5 - I am so sorry to hear about your job. That just sucks. :(So many people are getting hit with job loss right now and I am so sorry for that. Keep your head up! Where one door closes, another one opens. I wish you the very best.

I am trying to remember something someone said in one of my meetings...
"I did not get this way over night... I will not fix it over night either."
It seems easier to remember that when the numbers on the scale are lower than what they were last week!
Good luck everyone!

Ivy1534,
That quote, about not doing this overnight, is so important to keep in mind. I know in the past I think I've failed because I keep wanting a quick fix, but it doesn't work like that! At least not if you want to do it in a healthy way that will allow you to maintain.
I am looking to lose at least 100 lbs, and when I first decide to finally do this and lose all of this weight, I knew it would take at least a year if I wanted to do it right. While that is certainly daunting, going into this knowing it will take me a long time makes it a little easier, week by week, because I'm not looking for overnight success.
As it is, I'm already a month in and have lost 11 lbs!
nancylmrn
09-02-2009, 11:49 PM
Ivy I am not sure where that quote first got started but it is kinda the overall theme everyone should chat.
Tudor congrats on the 11 pounds
Well today we picked up baby's pictures and they are so cute! but as much as I loving being with daughter and grandbaby I am looking forward to getting home to my other DD and DH...been gone almost two weeks. I am worried about my weigh in when I get there and hoping that I have at least managed to lose a pound

Hi Everyone!
Curious... who is doing Core/Momentum and who is doing points/flex?
nancylmrn
09-03-2009, 11:27 AM
noussa I do flex points it seems to work best for me and my lifestyle
noussa
09-03-2009, 11:36 AM
I started with points and now I am doing the old core program... it seems to work for me since I am tired of "portion control and weighing" you know, traditional dieting-- but it does get a tad boring... any ideas on how to shake things up a little?

Well... I got a rather nice suprise at the doctor's office yesterday. When I got on the scale I was prepared for the worst. It was still higher than I'd like BUT according to my doctor's scale I am 7lbs lighter than my last weigh in on Aug 23. I'm not sure if that's really true because I wasn't on my scale but it was still nice. I'm hoping that when I wi on Saturday morning it'll still be a nice loss even if it's not 7lbs. :carrot:
noussa - I do the flex points with core. :) Which means to me that I try to follow the core foods list but I still count portions and points. For me, it's important to have the structure of the points. Sort of a cut off of when to stop eating. I've just never been able to train myself to listen to my body and stop eating when I'm satisfied. But for some reason, if I'm out of points I'm usually able to stop myself from getting another helping of whatever. :)
I think that's a good question. I don't think we've talked about that before. :)
Ivy1534

Tudor Rose - Oh, my, gosh, I know! When I first started trying to lose weight, I started with calorie counting (didn't work, but that is beside the point). I remember waking up the next morning after starting it, looking in the mirror and thinking, "I am still fat, WTF?!" Seriously. Then I started Weight Watchers and one of the members said that and I was so dumbfounded.
nancylmrn - I have it printed out on a nice piece of paper in a really pretty font and have it on my wall that I look at everyday. It helps.
noussa - I do the points because I don't trust my self to stop when I get full. Seriously. When I don't have points left and I am hungry, I am forced to eat veggies (which I should anyway). I like it better that way.

Great quote! I try to remember that when I get into the mode of "need to lose this weight ASAP!" I really have to check myself and KNOW that it's going to take awhile. It helps that my husband is deployed, that gives me extra motivation.

Welll chickies I had a great day yesterday! You know I am visiting DD and new GB. They live in the oakland, ca area so yesterday I ventured out. Took the BART to SF and went site seeing/shopping the entire day. I left to walk to the BART at 9:30am (.7miles) and did not return until 6:00pm and I can honestly say I only sat down when riding the BART, ate lunch, and rode a trolly. So all in all walked about 7.5 hours up and down the hills of San Fran....my legs are telling me all about it today. I even walked to the top of Nob HIill. How many activity points do you think that is???
But I did buy myself two great pair of shoes (I am such a shoe hound--me and emelda)
Ok I am off for now check back in later

Nancy--How fun! I love walking around San Fran and taking BART. Planning to go next month with my 2 little ones! Ah shoes!! Love 'em!!
I was so HAPPY to see 192 on the scale this morning!!! First 10 pounds gone! Buh-bye! I'll be at pre-pregnancy weight in 3 pounds. Woo hoo!
Tudor Rose
09-04-2009, 03:53 PM
noussa, I do the points because it's what I did the first time around and I know how it works. Plus, I'm pretty anal, so I like the accountability and record keeping that comes with it.
Plus, I'm not sure I'd trust myself to stop when I was feeling satisfied. If I was able to do that all these years, I wouldn't be in this mess!

I didn't have a so great August, but September so far is going great! I didn't gain any weight in August.. but I didn't lose much either! Within the past 2-3 days I have lost 2 pounds.. which is absolutely AWESOME! I usually never let myself use my 35 points, but the past week I have been a little more lienient with myself and I allow myself to dip into those 35 points. It's working!!!
Anyway, I hope you guys all luck this month!

09-05-2009, 12:27 PM
Well yesterday I did not get in any formal exercise but did walk about 2.5 miles.
My food journal --- well lets just say I am putting everything down but the points are adding up to more than I want. I will be sorry to leave my DD and GB but I will be happy to be back home to a regular routine and eating.
I have a follow up with my Dr. Sunday and the walk in clinic since I had that little trip to the ER for chest pains...that will also be the first time I will be weighed since my trip started 2.5 weeks ago. I am a bit nervous. Of course I am hoping for a loss but if the way a pair of pants is any indication I gained at bit since being here

Welcome Icoughlin! we will look forward to your posts!
Ok Chickies went to the Dr. like I said I would good and bad news....bad news gained 2lbs while in oak,,,,good new I am off all medications for the first time in 8 years! Dr. said it had to be my lifestyle change with ww and exercise and to keep it up...so even though my weight is not where I want I am doing something right for the first time.
so I need you chickies to keep after me to get in my exercise and veggies!

Hi, can I join in?
My name is Ashley.
I have an up and down weight battle since I was eight.
I lost with WW (40 lbs) back in 2006, then had two children in a year
Lost one of them, and just lost control of my good eating habits, I had obtained the first time around. This is my second time starting this year.
I am labeling this month 8 for Sepetember, as my goal is to lose 8 lbs. for this month. May seem small, but I just need to see the scale go down sooner rather than later.
Nice to e-meet you all,
Ashley

Ashley, Welcome to the group! I am also pretty new, but I am sure u will find all the support u need here!
I am so sorry to hear about the tremendous loss u went through. The pain of losing a child is unimaginable, you are a fine example of strength and perserverance. You will reach your goal and your other child will be so proud of ur accomplishment- because once you reach your goal, you will be an even better mom.
Call me crazy, but I feel that as I lose a few pounds, I feel I actually have more patience for my kids and I am actually a better mom... so cliche, but true, right?
nancylmrn
09-07-2009, 11:48 PM
Welcome ASH and I am glad you are here. I have three children and 3 grandchildren and could not even imagine how to cope with that loss.
noussa you are not crazy for feeling better when you drop a few pounds. It makes you feel good and makes you feel good about your overall self esteem!
Today I got back in the grove and went to the local HS track to see how far I could go without walking...since I had been jog/walking while in CA...well I went for 1/2 mile before walking then walked 1/4 mile before starting again. I did realize I was jogging to fast and if I slowed down a bit I could go farther without being winded. I ended up doing 5.75 miles walk/jogging and boy am I hurting tonight LOL so lesson learned ----take it slow
so what did I do tonight ate 3 slices of pepperoni pizza and two glasses of wine

Welcome Ashley! I'm so very sorry for your loss. We're all here to support you in your journey! I've been battling weight since age 13 but today I think I just had the "AHA" moment when I realized the reason for it and why I started gaining weight so young. Long story, I just can't believe I'm just realizing it 18 years later! So onward and upward!
Welcome Lisa!
My goal for this week is to be out of the 190s and into the 180s. I hope it's doable! I managed to only dip into my extra points on Saturday, so I'm trying to stick just to my regular points. Walked twice today.
alanadoodle
09-08-2009, 03:39 PM
Nancy - 5.75 miles is awesome!! I want to start running again, if only I could get to the gym!
Must get the cookie dough out of the house! I'm not going over points, I just hate that I feel bad for having a cookie. I'm not eating 5 or anything.
nancylmrn
09-08-2009, 06:33 PM
alanadoodle I know what you mean about cookiedough I have had to make an effort not to keep that and other things in the house. And if my girls want that kind of treat they have to eat it and not leave any in the frig. That seems to work pretty well for me....but I do still slip like the pizza last night I was just so hungry and ran into the grocery store saw them and grabed it knowing I should just make some soup or something lite for dinner
tonight I am going to make my own corn tortila's and shred a chicken breast and saute some green pepper and onions for dinner. Also going to go for a run if the weather holds if not I will do walk away the pounds dvd (5miles)
Hey just wondering where everyone else is since the holiday?
alanadoodle
09-09-2009, 02:29 AM
Homemade corn tortillas, do share the recipe! Sounds yummy!
Okay, so I was way under points today. Even with the cookie dough. I only had 19 points (I get 26) and 3 activity points. Probably not good. I'm getting to the point where I'm not very hungry and/or ignoring it.
I think I'll get a yummy coffee tomorrow. And pick up lots of fruit.
nancylmrn
09-09-2009, 12:12 PM
oh alanadoodle the tortillas are so simple you can google it and get tons of advice. But I would recomend a press to flatten each one. They are 1 pt each and taste sooo good.
I did go for a walk/jog last night went 4 miles and thougth I was dying. This is the first time I have tried going in the eve and I find my energy level just crashes. So tonight I will do my dvd which will get my heart rate up for 60min instead of a run.
Well today was my weigh in and I had gained according to the dr. scale on sunday but when I got on the scale today I was down 1.0 :) That was a hard earned pound took me 2 weeks to get that. Sometimes I get so frustrated with my lack of progess even though I stay within my points, earn 28 or more activity points, and if I eat my flex or not still the same progress. I looked back on my journal (it records 12 weeks I just started week 9) I have only lost 4.5 pounds in 8 weeks that is not even 1/2 pound a week.
but this month on my body measurement chart I have lost 1/4 inch on upper arm, 1/4 inch on waist, 1 inch on hips and 1/2 inch on thigh. So even though I have only lost 1 pound the last 4 weeks I am losing in size

Today at work I had someone ask me if I had been losing weight. When I said yes, she said she could totally tell and that I was looking really good. Made my entire day :-)
Plus, I had three different people compliment me on the shirt I was wearing. The crazy thing is, I've had this shirt for years and have worn it plenty of times before! I think it's more that for the first time in a long time, it's not too small for me.

Well chickies got to share :( I have been off my bp meds now for over a week but realized just because I am off meds does not mean that I won't retain water!....my job involves sitting at a desk all day and today was no exception, so I kicked off my heels and low and behold my feet looked like footballs and I could barely get my shoes on to walk to the bus! :( So when I got home I forced my tennies on and worked out using one of my dvd's instead of going for a walk/jog...my feet are almost back to a normal size but I put a pair of tennies in my big bag to take to the office and am making a commitment to myself to get out at lunch and walk for 30 min just to keep my feet normal

Ok so here it is Saturday and I slept in :carrot: and it felt soooo good. Then I got up and actually put on my running shoes and drove to the local HS and jogged/walked for 5 miles. This was the first time I ever jogged more than I walked so I was pretty pround of myself. But boy or boy are my legs sore tonight.
I have a goal, I want to be able to do a 5K without stopping (3miles) but so far all I have been able to do is 3/4 of a mile without resorting to walking a bit, but I will get there
Hope you all are having an awesome weekend

Nancy - I am so impressed with your dedication to exercise! I have such a hard time with it. I know that I feel so much better when I exercise......it is just so hard to convince myself of that at 4:45 am (which is the main time that I am able to get it in!)!!!!
I am going to set a goal for myself to exercise at least 3 times this week. I should be doing it 5 times, I know.....but I am going to start with 3. I think I can.....I think I can.......!!!
Have a great week everyone!:D

I haven't exercised in a VERY long time and I have a desk job. I agree, Ragsy. I feel much better when I exercise and I know that. I get up at 4:15 so I am thinking I will make myself exercise in the evenings. I just can't make myself get up at 3:45 to do 30 minutes of exercise. I am not a morning person and know that I'd be setting myself up to fail :dizzy:
I think I am going to match you, Ragsy --- I will shoot for exercise 3 times this week.
Good luck with the swelling, Nancy. I am so glad you are off of your meds. What an accomplishment!
Have a great week, folks!

Could i join here? I have tried WW on and off and just had my 3rd child by c-section about 2 months ago. So i am fighting to get back on track. I do WW from home and usually do my official weigh in on Wed. When are your weigh in days? I am 26 yrs old and weigh 239. :( I need to lose weight to be healthy for me and for my family. I have 3 kids under 4 yrs old. So they keep me busy.

Welcome CherryAutumn!! I am glad that you are here. I am tired just thinking about 3 kids under 4!! ;) But....they will surely keep you moving! I have an 8 year old and a 2 year old....and they keep me pretty busy.
We have another thread, you may have already seen, where everyone puts their weight each week.....just jump right in on whatever day you weigh in and Nancy keeps track for us. (Thank you Nancy!!) I weigh in each Monday morning. People chose whatever works best for them. :)

Ragsy & Chopper I could not get up earlier to exercise either so I do it when I get home (5:15-5:30pm) I have my dinners planned so I can workout or run for 60min then have dinner on the table by 6:45 or so. But you have other challenges than I do. Small childen, my two that are left in the house are 17 and self sufficant.
Yesterday I did not do well, no exercise, went out for beer and nachos for lunch then had wine for dinner LOL :D not a good point day.
I am going to go home tonight though and try out my new (splurged) pair of running shoes. it was actually pretty cool deal the sales person is a runner and recommend several pair then recommened some inserts for my high instep. When I checked out they offered me a program that if the shoes start to wear or tear within the year they will mail me a check for the whole purchase price of the shoes--all for 9.99 so I said why not! that way if I stick with this running and wear my shoes out I can get them replaced for $9.99
cherryaubumn welcome aboard and please post often and tell us how you are doing...my weigh in day is wednesday too so just go to the weigh in thread and tell me what the total loss is and I will post it
darn I was long winded today

Ugh. Exercise. I always feel so good after I do it, but it's so hard to work up the motivation! I know I need to do it more, and while I've been losing weight w/o exercising, I know that I can't keep that up. Plus, I should exercise for health benefits alone, not just weight loss.
Yesterday started really well: I stepped on the scale and saw I was at 279! It's been YEARS since I was out of the 280s, so that so made my day.
But then I met my dad for lunch and didn't make the best choices, and had hit my daily points after lunch :o But I just ate a smaller dinner so I didn't have to cut too far into my weeklies. I know they are there for a reason, but I still feel guilty eating them. Especially eating a lot at the very beginning of my week! It always makes me paranoid that I won't have any by the end of the week in case something comes up. But then I remember the only person in control of those points is me, so if I want to have some left over for the weekend just in case, I have to make the right decisions throughout the week.

Hey guys! It's been foreverrrrr, but it seems like it's only been 5 minutes. First two weeks of school have gone sooo fast. I actually have not been doing WW. Since I have so much structure to my day I've found I haven't had much temptation. I have take this as an opportunity to not focus on counting anything, but truly on keeping track. I have been writing EVERYTHING I eat down (those of you who have been here all summer know that isn't my best skill) and also keeping track of how hungry I've been, and how I feel energy wise and stomach wise (I have IBS so it's a big deal for me.) I am actually down weight doing this! I know it won't always work well, like vacations and holiday time so I have WW for those time, but it seems right for me! I have missed the forum and even though I am not exactly a WW girl at the moment, I hope I can still check in!

Well chickies, I did workout the last two night and today was weigh in and (sigh) again no loss but no gain...I looked at my 3 month journal I started on July 15th and from then to now I have only dropped 4.5 pounds! Pretty discouraging but I have lost an inch off my hips and 1/2 inch off my waist....but still....geez I may need to rethink ww and try another program? But I like the accountability of ww and the ease of points.
Can use all your suggestions and hugs

Nancy, I was wondering, how do you feel at your current weight and size? I don't know you in person, but I wonder if maybe your body is hitting the weight it is happy with being. Katier to answer your question I feel just OK at this weight I am not real happy with my shape, still too much for my liking around my middle. I know what you are saying about maybe this is where my body wants to stay and I know some other ww folks that they just could not drop down lower when they hit a plateau like I have and they were happy with it.
I have to tell you a bit about my background. I had never been overweight in my life until about 8 years ago when I began taking medication for hypertention. I gained 60lbs in the course of two years before my dr. finally said 'oh I guess you have gained some weight' (my weight 8 years ago 125 my hightest 185ish) I finally changed dr's but .... Now I am down to 153.5 after a lot of hard work and I am even off my medication but that is just one obstical out of the way I now have my age and menopause working agaisnt me. So here I am whining :( thank you all for listening
I will continue to watch my points and exercise as a matter of fact I am soo sore today from doing weights tues but I am still going to go for a run tonight when I get home from work even though I really don't feel like it
I do enjoy reading all of your sucess and you inspire me to keep going and not give in!

Hello all! I am just keeping my head above water these days between being in my host school, attending classes (after 13 yrs!), being a mom, parent council and trying to keep my household running...needless to say I haven't given much thought to food. AND when the going gets stressed...this women gets food! I am maintaining...and for now...I think I'm okay with that. I'm still going to be careful (basically do what I'm doing now) and maybe start the weight loss thing again later. I'm at my one year anniversary...have lost 80lbs...I think my body needs a break. (She says as she pops another Skittle in her mouth!)
Hey, as a sidebar...you should all be proud of me...my kids are selling chocolate for school fundraiser...(I did eat one) and I brought them to school and sold them all today so that they are not in the house calling my name!!

Kiki, that's great on maintaining the 80 lbs! That's quite a feat in itself.
I'm at that point where all my pants are starting to get too big, so they look all baggy when I wear them which is *not* a look I want to have. This is especially true of my jeans. So yesterday I went out shopping for some new clothes. Of course, I don't want to spend too much money on jeans when I know that in another few months they'll be too big, so I just went to my local thrift store and I was thrilled to find I could comfortably fit into a 24! I don't think I've worn a 24 in probably two years, and looking in the mirror I can definitely start to see my weight loss, especially in the hip/stomach area.

well chickies I need to catch you all up....took a mini vacation this weekend and did not have computer access. DH and I drove to the eastern side of the state and I was a very bad chick! biscuts and gravey for breakfast both days...pizza...chicken sausage..potato chips....crackers and two bottles of wine. I did not even attempt to add up those pts...and not a lick of exercise unless you count sitting in jacuzzi a work out?
So tonight I did my weights and watched what I ate today so hopefully Wednesday I can maintain
wish me luck

ok I ate ok today but I did get in a 4 mile run/walk I am still working up to doing a 5K (3miles) but so far it has been a month and once I managed the first mile without stopping, but after that it is more like 1/4mile walk a min then 1/2 mile walk a few min...just can't seem to get my breathing down and the more I think about it of course the more I tense up and start to breath too fast so then I slow down my strides (which are slow to begin with) I guess I should go on the running thread to get some advice on how you over come this....but no matter how slow I go as long as I keep my heart rate up for 60 min I am happy.
well I will check in later hope you all have had a wonderful day and can't wait to hear from you

Well it was weigh in this am and whoo hoo big suprise (not) I gained a pound so no loss at all for me this month. So I am not sure what or where to go next. Since July 16 I have only lost 4.5 pounds and I exercise 3 to 5 times a week at 60min a pop, Some weeks I eat all my flex pts some weeks no does not seem to matter....
Would love some suggestions please

nancylmrn, have you considered cutting back on your exercise? You could be gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat.
This weekend I'm going to DC to visit my little sister, so I'm trying so hard to not use my weeklies until the trip because I have no idea what I'll be eating. I'm hoping I'll be able to make good choices, and my sister knows and totally supports my weight loss plan, so she'll be conscious of it. Plus I'm sure we will be doing a lot of walking. I'm also, shall we say, "riding the crimson wave" this week, which of course always makes it tricky. But at this same time last month I was on a trip to Vegas and still managed to lose weight, so DC should be easy compared to that!

Tudor I have thought about that but when I look back at my log since I started recording both exercise and food let me give you a run down
July 15-Aug 12 exercised 19 out of 29 days with a loss of 3.5 lbs
Aug 13- Sept 9 exercised 12 out of 28 days with a loss of 1.0lbs
Sept 10- Present exercised 8 out of 14 days with a gain of 1.0lbs
Granted I did really over do this past weekend so that may be the gain I am thinking I need to up the exercise to a solid 5-6 days a week each 60 min session..and by that I mean keep my heart rate in the target zone or above to get the hvy pts workout of 8 pts for 60 min. Is that too much?
I have only used all my flex pts + one week and that was last weekend I don't even use my work out pts...grrr
maybe it is my age??? you know that over 50 menopause thing? my daughter told me I should get a diet supplement..don't think I want to go that route
I have lost a bit in inches but I really don't feel it in the way my clothes fit I am still wearing the same size I was in June and July
so here is the real pisser (sorry) I am using and official ww journal and it has a page that gives you this weight loss graph for loss each of the 12 weeks and total loss of 20lbs so here I am on week 11 and as of week 10 I have lost a whopping 3.5 no where near this 20lbs mark
Darn I think I just need to start a new club....WA whiners annon

Nancy...(((hugs))). I've lost about the same...maybe 5lbs (I'm not even sure anymore) since July. It's all good...I think sometimes our bodies just need a break. I am still being good (but not fanatical) and maintaining...I'll give it another go later. I feel for you though...been there...doing that. :)

Ok I missed posting yesterday had a dinner iwth my in-laws etc last night...all vegan which was kinda nice. But did have a glass or 3 of the white wine LOL
Tonight I was good and ate just some steamed seafood for dinner but no exercise so this is two days in a row without real movement. Tomorrow I plan on a 4 or 5 mile walk/ jog
Hope everyone is well and 'poof' I am gone for the night lol

OMG I am still reeling from my exercise this afternoon. I went to the local High School and used the track. I pushed myself and did 4 miles...yep thats right 16 laps before I started to walk..and the only reason I stopped was my feet felt like they were burning. Now it is many hours later and I feel like someone has beat me up but I am so pumped that I went past my goal of a 5K run!
So I celebrated with very thin crust pizza (papa murphy) with less than 1/2 the cheese and some very chilled wine LOL
Hope you all had a awesome weekend

I have GOT to start exercising. My goal for this week is to use it 15 minutes a day 3 days this week. I know it sounds small but if I push myself too hard at first, I tend to give up. I think if I ease my way into it, I'll have a better chance of sticking with it. I hope to work myself up to at least 45 minutes per day 4 times a week. ;)

Nancy - that is awesome! Feeling beat up probably never felt so great! :D Running a 5k will be easy for you now. I am impressed! I know that you have been frustrated with the weight loss side of things, but I hope that the progress that you have made on the physical fitness side of things helps you see how great you really are doing.

:) Hi everyone:
I'm new to the forum ... third week on Weight Watchers at home and thought I'd check for support and found this forum.
Glad to be here, nice to have others to talk to about the ups and downs etc.
I have done Weight Watchers three times in the past ... started when I was about 21 and am now 52! It works every time I follow it, but then I get sidetracked, gain some weight back, then a bit more ... you know the story :dizzy:
Anyway, I know it works and it is working ... I have already lost 7.5 Lb's. It's always faster at the beginning for sure, so I am ready for the slow down now. I finally have a home gym, with an elliptical (Christmas treat) so that's really helping.
Will read through the posts now and know I'll find the support I'm looking for :carrot:
Cheers everyone!

I know I know I post here way more than most of you but I use this as a way to shout my whines and sucesses LOL
Today I was tired but still came home after work and did my Firm DVD-standing legs-45 min of leg work with weights-whew
I am looking back at my journal and reflecting on how I had to start small. I remember in May I bought a DVD walk away the pounds 1-2-3 miles and I could barely get through mile 1 and then 2 and now I look at WOW I really ran on a track --outside--4 miles straight! I have made the commitment to myself to stay moving...I only hope it holds through these winter months..those are the times I revert back to old habits and poof gain the weight I worked so hard to remove only to have come back
keep me motivated chickies!

Well this is my last entry and the last day of the month and I have to say I am going out with a bang! It took me all month and this last week I dropped 5.5lbs what's up with that! I am not complaining just leary that the loss will really still be there three days from now.
so tomorrow is Oct 1 the best month for fall weather as far as I am concerned. but I am looking forward to the cooler weather and a bit more of a challenge to get in my 60 min of cardio outdoors
