Hello!
My name is Katie. I found this site when I googled weight loss community/forum! So here I am, all registered up and throwing this post out into the euniverse, hoping that some of you will stop by and look upon it! And you will think, "I grant acceptance and friendship onto this new little fatling, may she shrink instead of grow and prosper under our guidance!" Did you know that your inward voice sounds like a fairy-godmother type? Well, it does.

Let me quit being goofy and get down to some cold hard facts!

About Katie:
I am currently 24 years old.
I have been married to a very smexy man for 3 1/2 years.
I weigh 262ish lbs. (That was the average between 3 scales this weekend)
I have made a commitment to lose weight.
I have decided to turn to the internets for friends and accountability. (All my friends are skinny. :/ I'm the fat friend. They don't really get it, so I am blogging and joining this board!)
I can be a little silly. I can get fired up. But I love making friends.
Oo, and I have a Boston Terrier and a Miniature Dachshund! And 2 ferrets! You will see pics, and you will like it.

Thanks everyone! I think I'm settling in pretty good so far.

I may be up for a challenge, crazymama! If I can stop sobbing in complete disillusioned mortification after spending 45 seconds on the treadmill...

Edit: Shame on you lurkers for scanning the thread without saying anything! I'm a fragile little newbie.. my feelings are very tender! *sob*

LOL Totally relating to the 45 seconds on the treadmill comment! I get on and walk my little heart out and delay looking at the timer so I can 'shock' myself over my amazing ability to walk without tiring....................five minutes???? what do you mean five minutes??? This damned thing must be broken!! I KNOW I have been on here at least 25 minutes!! Welcome Katie, have a beautiful day.
