Default Sometimes I want to eat my words.

I really do.

But I can't regret anything I do or say in life. They are simply life lessons.

Integrity sometimes may get lost. I can lose faith in myself and others....

But.... In the end. I guess they are just words, and only minor cosmetic insights into who I really am.

The only person who never sticks their foot in their mouth, is someone who never opens it.

Hmmm, maybe if I stay on here more and stick my foot in my mouth, I won't have as much time or room to put all that food in their lol.

"The only thing I regret in this life is not kicking enough ***"

That's what my Mom told me when after I was talking to her about regretting something.

And she, like me, suffers from Chronic Foot in Mouth Syndrome. My friends have come to expect it. I'd put some examples, actually wrote a really funny one out, but they would all be offensive in some manner or another. So, yeah, CFMS is the bane of my existence. But in the end, I hope to only regret not kicking enough *** in this lifetime.

My mom used to call it Gumball Disease - I have it too. It's when every thought you have drops out of your head and onto your tongue, often w/out ever engaging your brain!

I am constantly opening my mouth and saying things I shouldn't, but only to the people I love. They say you always hurt the people you love most. It's screwed up and I feel like a complete idiot afterwards. I need to think before I speak.

Uh, I have so many stories my family could and would tell if they were here. They all start with, "I don't know how someone so smart could do/say something so stupid... (I'm the first in my family to graduate college, and the only to have a masters' degree except on aunt).

And now my HUSBAND gets in on the "make fun of Colleen" game, too. Luckily, I'm a very good sport (and end up laughing until I'm crying or peeing, just like everyone else).

Have frequently inserted size 10 (right) or size 11 (left) foot in mouth. Have learned to cheerfully admit wrongness and apologize sincerely. We are human..which has its drawbacks and difficulties at times. I would much rather converse with an interesting person with FIMD than a boring person who has no opinions and says nothing!
