I didn't do the juice, you can substitute with 1 cantelope a day cut into 1/4's.
Did I read that right, the juice is $33 a bottle????

Umm. I think so...i bought the TO juice as some sort of intro package for approximately $80.00 I would be interested in knowing what can be substituted for the juice, though.

Everyone keeps asking what I am using for take off juice. so here ya go....

I buy it at extra foods or superstore here in Canada.

it is just a "%100 tropical juice blend" made by president's choice.

/25o ml undiluted juice on the left/ the Take off juice on the right is based on 125 ml with 125 ml added water as it is concentrate.

1% (35mg) /sodium/ 1% (10 mg)
10% (30g) /Carbohydrates/ 8% (25g)
24g /sugar/ 22g
1g /protein/ 1g
100% /Vitiman C/ 80%
2% /calcium/ 0%

I think it is so close and even takes like it. Go through the 100% juices in your stores and see if you can find something along those lines. I just don't dilute the juice blend as it is based on the full amount, after the dilution it would be the 250 mls anyway. Last time it worked like a gem and is SO cheap! Let me know if you guys find it or decide to try it. *hugs*

I'm in ottawa!! the girls are good at the COD but changeovers lately have been hard to deal with... some new girls are nasty!!! :(
yay subs for TO that don't require complicated add-ins! (though it seems the COD has sales every week for their products)

Instead of the juice I use oranges. I like it a lot better and it fills me up more so I don't feel hungry. 4 oranges each day. Just thought I'd mention it.

I didn't use the juice either. I had 1 cantelope throughout the day. It worked for me.

i went out and got the president's choice juice, gonna do my first TO tomorrow. (by the way, i'm from surrey bc)

I'm too afraid to do another TO after the initial TO made me so miserable I thought I was going to die. I'm not a big fan of meat and green veggies so needless to say I was not a happy camper. Plus, I only lost 2 lbs and then gained them back the day that I started eating normally again.

Well, it has been three weeks since I have been able to find this juice and there are 4 Superstores near my home. My mum is in Stoon, SK and wants to start the plan but can't find the juice anywhere either...

I have heard of some FF using oranges but I m unclear on how that works. I need to do a TO to help get me over this hump. And I despise cantaloupe so that's out.....

Thought I would check out to see if anyone else was feeling ripped off with the $33 bottle of juice that should cost $5! I kept the bottle from my first TO and will just find a comparable tropical blend at Safeway or Amaranth. I am finding the program a little bit difficult to manage and haven't had very good losses so far (3 pounds in two weeks). Probably because I always have had a low sodium diet and drank lots of water. Have a feeling this is going to be a long haul.

Has anyone else had problems with breaking out in acne after starting the Lites? I was sure glad that I didn't spend $700 on them when they were pressuring me to!

I have went off the lites and have always eaten pretty well. I think it is just a battle of finding the right times to eat for me. ( I need to eat 6 smaller meals to get my body moving in the loss direction.) Good luck and keep at it!

I am from Nova scotia, and its great to know there are others from Canada, I find alot of stuff that is talked about on the forums we cant find here. nice to know someone maybe be able to send us in the right direction on where alot of stuff can be found in Canada!!

I agree that this TO is pretty difficult. The first one was easier because I was fresh and keen (and probably still full from eating like a glutton the days before). I sabatoged myself today by not bringing a snack/lunch with me to my 3 hour meeting and then I was STARVING and grabbed a muffin and coffee. Amazingly enough though, that muffin filled me up until supper. Does anyone else "modify" (aka cheat)?

I contacted PC and they have discountinued the juice:( Too bad because it was way closer to the TO juice than Knudsens' or any other out there:(

The centre here seems good. Most the the ladies have done the plan themselves so that is good. They are not pushy about their products either.

Hi - I didn't see where anyone answered this (maybe I missed it, not sure) but TO is the initial "Take Off" that the LA Weight Loss Centres put you on for two days to kind of jump start your weight loss.

I haven't heard of any closures in Canada yet - it seems to be mostly the US.

Sige- Yes TO is the Take off plan that they orignally start you with at LAWL. After you have been on the plan for a month, I think, then you can do the Take Off 2 Plan which is a little different from the first one. I have done 2 of them and they are hard but I lost 4 pounds both times. I had to make up for gaining weight while I was on holidays.
I am in Calgary. I am not going to the centre anymore as I finished my weightloss weeks and did not get to my target. I decided not to buy more. I really feel that I have learned how to eat though. I never did the bars anyways. Today I walked for 30 minutes and stretched for another 10 minutes before going to work. Even though I didn't get to my target, I still lost 15 pounds and it feels fantastic!

Sige-oops sorry I thought you were asking what TO is but rather you were giving the answer to someone else. TGIF....I am tuning out now!

Hey, any Canadian members still out here? All the centres did close and thanks to this forum I have researched Canadian locations for Cliff Bars and Luna Bars - you can get them at Shoppers Drug Mart. Still trying to figure out what I will use for my next TO (I finally finished the last of my stash) and toggling between cantelope and oranges. Has someone finally found a Canadian solution?

I am from S'toon. Great to see so many Canadians. It does suck that many cheaper options are available in the US...but not here.I started my program 2 weeks ago...and lost 7.2 lbs so far. I started my 2nd TO today and blew 52 bucks on the juice and bars :(
Then I came across this forum...yay for substitutes!!!
I will look up the Morning Blend in co-op and Luna Bars in SDM.

Btw...does anyone know if we get the Zone bars in Costo over here?
