I just read through some of the profiles and posted my own to the 100 Pound Club, and I just have to say that it's so refreshing to see that I'm not alone!

I've done a lot of other diet/health websites (some free, some not), and this is the first time I've been on one where there is more positivity than negativity, more success than not, more go-getting than whining. It's a revelation to me!

On other sites, there is a pervasive "why me" tone to everything; here, it's just not the case. Yeah, people have hard days, but I just don't see the major tone as whining, and it's so refreshing!

So I just wanted to say thanks to everyone. Everyone here takes responsibility for their weight and health, and it's just so nice!

This truly is a phenomenal site. It has been so wonderful for me to be able to "speak" with and connect to so many people who know EXACTLY where I'm coming from.

Welcome, and please join in! You're right....it's nice to know that you're not alone and that there are other people with issues similar to your own that you can go to for help. In addition, though, it's nice to have people to celebrate with who also get where you're coming from! We can all talk to our spouses, friends, kids, whatever, but unless they've been in our shoes they just don't get it. The people here do, and everyone understands the need to celebrate even that single pound loss...cause sometimes that's the hardest one to lose!
