Default Joined the YMCA and have a question....

I joined the YMCA/YWCA but our membership isn't going to start till after May 15th as I can't pay till June 1st. I am going to sign the kids up for swimming lessons, and I hope to kick my big butt into gear and go and workout. I have to walk there and back(about 7min walk each way) so should I count that as my warm-up and cool-down?

I wish you the best of luck in your new venture!!!! I think walking for 7 minutes there and home again would be a good cool down. Any amount of exercise is helpful!

Take care and Good luck to you!

I agree with Marianne. Lucky you, only 7 minutes walking distance. It's 30 to get there and 30 to get back for me! Welcome to the Y family!

I would walk there and then stretch for your warm up. Then, cool down walk home and stretch again.
