Mauv - I am soooo jealous that you met Bruce Campbell. He came to San Diego for the release for Bubba Ho-Tep but it wasn't a meet and greet, it was just him speaking for a few minutes before the show. Although that would be cool, I didn't want to stand in line forever. I did e-mail him once and he e-mailed me back. Very charming.

Suzanne, I remember going to the Majestic once, and I remember the creaky wood floors. I went to see The Muppet Movie! But didn't it start showing porn right after that? I thought that was why it got shut down.

My favorite job ever was working at the movie theater in college.
Funny you mention the theater renovation thing, I've thought the same thing! Freaky...you'd think we were sisters or something.

PS- I fed my latest movie addiction with Scary Movie 3. Yep, we were desperate. What a waste of money!

Red face Miss Chris Reviews The Matrix:Revolutions

Better than Reloaded the Matrix proved that there as some story line still in there with of course the action that one would expect. Some scenes had a tendency to run a little long, or maybe it was just mediocre acting. The Gundam/anime feel to the movie persisted and I think that why I personally enjoyed it. Nothing like seeing ones comic book dreams come to life.

Overall I would give it a B+
A for action
B for storyline
B- for acting :the guy who plays Link stands out as one of the better actors as well as Lawrence Fishburn, the Trinity____(won't ruin the movie) was way too long
A- for philosophical BS: but at least it gives you something to think about

Have FUN!
Miss Chris

No, that was the Capri theater that showed porn. It was smaller than the Majestic, and there was nothing fancy about it. I remember when they showed regular movies, too. I'm not completely sure why the Majestic closed, but I think it had something to do with the popularity of the new Mall theater. (remember THAT?)

Anyway... about theater popcorn, what was it you told me about the popcorn at the theater you worked at? One time, the tub of popcorn was full of maggots and the manager said to pop it anyway???

No, that was when your son worked at Chuckey Cheese!

Oh I remember the maggot thing...Jami was the one it happened to, before I worked there. Did they pop it? Ewww!

We are going to see The Elf on Sunday - and Suzanne might come if I can drag her away from her post! Hopefully we can see The Matrix on a Monday afternoon matinee. Suzanne, hurry and rent part 2 so you can go with us!

Yeah, you said Jamie said the manager told her to pop it anyway!

And yeah, when Nick worked at Chuckie Cheese, he said once they opened a tub of cheese and it had maggots and the assistant manager told them to use it anyway. He said he felt bad for the customers, though you couldn't see the maggots on the pizza. Yuck anyway.

Jen, not sure yet about either. I'm got a big backlog to tend to. But have fun anyway!

Maggots on pizza, FINE, but they would REALLY mess up the popcorn popper.....

(THAT IS SO DISGUSTING I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! THEY ACTUALLY SERVED THAT??)
