Default breakfast

Try to make a batch of each of these and then freeze them to zap them in the microwave for a quick breakfast.

Breakfast Burritos made w/ ff egg scramblers, onions, bell peppers, low fat mozzerella cheese, & Oscar Mayer ready to serve Canadian Bacon. Cook and place on a 98% ff whole wheat tortilla.

English Muffin sandwiches made w/ whole wheat English Muffins, ff egg scramblers, Canadian Baon, and ff American Cheese.

Also love the easy muffins that you make w/ one step Angel Food cake mix and can of blueberry pie filling. (tried the crushed pineapples but didn't really care for them.... LOVE the blueberry ones!)

Much to my surprise, I really like this one:

1 C. Dannon Lite & Healthy vanilla yogurt
1/4 C. granola
6 or 8 fresh strawberries, sliced

Combine all of the above for a delicious, filling Breakfast in a Bowl. I think it works out to 6 WW points.

Since I discovered this I'm going through about a big container of the yogurt a week. I usually have it every other day.

- yogurt ("light", nonfat, fruitflavored), fruit (mango today, melon yesterday), sometimes w/.5 cup of shredded wheat (for fiber!)

- 1 cup shredded wheat or Kashi GoLean cereal with milk (lowfat), fruit

- 1 cup veggies, 1 egg, 1 oz shredded cheddar cheese, "scrambled" and microwaved. (Sometimes I also have a piece of multigrain toast with this, no butter)

I made the pumpkin spice muffins recipe that I found... (I think it was on this site). Anyway one package spice cake mix, one can pure pumpkin, 5 tbsp water. Just mix, pour into muffin tins, and bake @ 350 degrees for about 25 minutes or until knife comes out clean when inserted. Delicious!! Added a tablespoon of cool whip free and it tasted like I was eating pumpkin pie for breakfast! I made a double batch and divided them into freezer bags and put in freezer - they freeze well and make for a quick snack or breakfast.

Morningstar Farms breakfast sausages (vegetarian, buy in the frozen section) are high protein, very filling. I also make the Arrowhead Mills buckwheat pancake mix when I have time. Other thoughts: whole wheat toast with cottage cheese on it, oatmeal with any fruit or applesauce mixed in (I cook it with 1/2 skim milk to boost calcium and water), scrambled egg on a piece of toast with sliced tomato.

mmmm, those pumpkin spice muffins sound delish!! I've only done those muffins with a chocolate cake mix, pumpkin filling and water. I love spice cake so I will change it up next time.

My ideas are most of what is listed already except for.......

2 ww's whole wheat toasted with a slice of Borden's sharp cheese. Squirt a little french's mustard on the hot toast (no buttery spread or anything) and add the cheese. The cheese starts to melt and its sooo good for 3 pts.

Of course.....2 ww's whole wheat toast, fat free miracle whip and sliced tomatoes. YUM YUM....love these!!!

fat free cottage cheese and 1 tablespoon of strawberry jam mixed in.

2 fat free Kelloggs waffles and 1Cup of frozen blueberries (nuked to a melting point where the fruit give off blueberry juice) Pour over the waffles and then there's no need for syrup as the blueberries are so juicy!!

2 ww's whole wheat toast, low fat peanut butter, strawberry jam and then add to the top....a sliced banana.

1 Cup oatmeal that you make on the stove with water, cinnamon and raisins. This is soooo filling.

I agree with others so far.....get over having a 'typical' breakfast with cereal.....anything goes as long as it is healthy and filling!!!

What great ideas on here! And most of them are made with easily-obtained ingredients; that's cool.

I tend to go for long periods of time eating the same thing every day for breakfast (no-brainers are nice in the morning). The one that cycles in the most is kind of like "breakfast in a bowl" described above:

I mix a half-cup of fat-free plain yogurt with a half-cup of regular plain yogurt to get a 1% mix of yogurt (otherwise, 1% yogurt is hard to find and usually more expensive). Then I add a 15g-carb serving of cereal (Barbara's Grain Shop or Kashi is my favorite), 1T of chopped nuts, and a serving of whatever fruit is around. It's delicious, portable, and filling.

If you can't get over the plain-yogurt thing, add a sugar-free sweetener like Splenda or Sweet-n-Low. Although, if you can find it, the best sweetener I've found is one called Stevia ... it's all-natural and has a little fiber in it.

... today I had a few slices of whole-wheat baguettes topped with herbed/spiced gouda, broiled, with a few halved grape tomatoes on top ... a couple of figs, and some coffee with milk.
