yup PCOS/IR here too... I am taking 2000mg metformin to try and tip the scale back... plus working out an hour 20 minutes a day... I think I start to think it isn't working, but I think it seems very sllllow, although in retrospect if I'm down 2 pounds this week I'd have lost about 8 pounds a month... which is pretty normal... I have been on p2 for about a month and until we started working out heavily my weight really just stalled... very frusterating! But I think maybe I had added too many frankenfoods back in... So this week we are going back to chicken, turkey and fish... and saving the chili and anything not very lean for more special occasions.
I'm going to go check out the links you suggested... anything that will help I'm in for, as our fertility Dr. will not help until I've gotten to 140 (course I know that when I do get lower symptoms begin to fade and hopefully I won't need her anyway!)
Sometimes I wish I could wear a badge when people assume I'm cheating when I'm not losing saying "I HAVE PCOS! BACK OFF!!"
I'm glad to see that there are more of us here and can be there to encourage each other when this stuff just gets ridiculously HARD!!!
