I haven't stuck to a weight loss program for this long since my twenties. I am excited. This time no ifs, ands, or buts I HAVE TO lose weight for my health. I will be 38 in July and I don't want to go into my forties being overweight. Diabetes runs in my family, I had GD during my second pregnancy. My aunt was just diagnosed with uterine cancer.
Hopefully early stages and being overweight increases your risk for getting it. Also having back problems. So far I've lost 8 pounds in a few weeks just by not overeating and drinking more water or plain green tea. No juices, no soda. I still eat most of the same foods I ate before just in moderation. I also started hiking on a trail near my home. Eventually when I lose more weight I would like to start jogging and/or running. Right now I am too big and it will put a lot of pressure on my knees. I also have some kettlebells and will start using those more. I actually joined this website in 2008. I got pregnant with my son shortly after so I stopped and it has taken me 5 years to come back but I am here now and sticking to it this time.
