Thanks guys. Riestrella I'm doing Insanity right now (and I'm so proud I haven't skipped any at all yet! On week 3!!) But I know I need to work harder on my diet. I go really great during the day, and by evening time I want to eat EVERYTHING. I need some self control. Ugh.

My typical day is like this.

Breakfast: Either oatmeal/cream of wheat/ or Ovaltine (the non sugar Swiss kind) w/ Unsweetened Almond milk

Midmorning snack: Apples w/ peanut butter or a smoothie (Mixed berries water and tbsp of agave)

After workout meal: usually either salmon/talpia/chicken with quinoa and veggies and some water.

Evening time: When the craziness starts. I end up eating a lot of things I shouldn't. What to do?? ( I live with my parents, so throwing food out isn't an option.)

Mostly I think I need to stop indulging myself.

meltaway: it doesn't look like you're getting enough calories in; maybe that's why you want to eat so much in the evening.

meltaway- can you add some protein into your breakfast? That has been my key to not being as hungry later on.

Okay, Riestrella, I guess you can go ahead and put me back in. I'm making myself a note right now on the calendar to record my weight!

Read the nutrition guide that comes with Insanity. It literally changed the way I thought about food. You should be eating a LOT more if you're doing such a high intensity workout. It sounds to me that you don't really have "meals" just small snacks which is why you might be so hungry by the evening.

I know what it's like living with parents, but you need to start planning your days ahead in advance and just stick to it. If you want to indulge, then indulge on fruit and veg. I know it sounds so boring, but it's much better than sugary/fatty foods.

I did Insanity for a long time, and you do need to eat more to compensate for the craziness!

I did read it, and I followed for some time, but I got lazy with the preaparing meals every instant. So I need to buck up on that. But honestly, I thouht they were just over-estimating how much food people need. :-/ By their calculations I should be on a 1900cals per day. Usually I'd get up to 1550 according to myfitness pall, or MyPlate and I've only lost 5 lbs so far. If I lose maybe another this week, that'll be six pounds for the month.

Is this normal for Insanity? What was your loss like?

It sounds like madness eating so much but it really does work. If you eat the recommended allowance then cut 500 calories out and see if that helps. I lost 20 lbs with Insanity eating that way.

Also the whole point of it is that you should never feel hungry. You should always be eating throughout the day to prevent hunger pangs. And by what you're eating it sounds like you graze lightly in the day and then pile on the food at night which isn't good. You should eat 3 full meals with 2 snacks and it should be enough.

Hi Riestrella (and others): I haven't been around (this thread or the website) in two months because my weight was being stupid and I seriously needed to focus on my research, but I have decided to rejoin society. Could you please put me back in this challenge? I'll fill in the blanks of my missed weigh-ins. Thank you.

I feel thinner. I tried on lots of dresses that I'd put away and they nearly all fit (UK10) so I'm definitely thinner. And then I looked up the ASOS dress I found in a second hand shop (brand new, yay) and it said the model was wearing a UK8 in the picture.. huh? My brain is confused. I guess I must be smaller but just very lumpy and bumpy and all that. I feel thinner but not like I'll ever actually be thin. Does that make sense? :\ some days I feel way fatter than ever, it's strange.

Thanks, Riestrella, for putting me back on the charts.

Leila - I know how you feel. We are all shaped differently so we will wear things differently. I'm in a 16 now, and I still can't believe it. I don't feel like I should be in a 16 because the people that I know that wear that size just seem to look smaller than me.

Meltaway, the same thing happens to me. I eat healthy during the day and when I get home, I feel like I eat a ton. I am eating plenty during the day, so even with exercise I don't know why I'm so hungry in the evening. :/
