Default Eat cake and lose weight

Hi i am new here and wondered if anyone had read the article in Daily Mail?

The part that interested me was a couple of comments about a diet which helps keep insulin stable and results in weight loss which involves eating only carbs for breakfast/no protein. Lunch is protein and carbs and evening meal is protein only and leaving 6 hours in between meals which is a bit scary!

Has anyone heard of this diet as I have tried to find out information but to no avail.

Thanks.

ThisyearIwilldoit Nope, I've never heard it!

IMHO all these fad diets cannot ever make up for general sensible eating that will be able to fit in and around your life long term and hopefully forever. Anything that dictates what you can and can't eat from meal to meal probably isn't sustainable, but as long as you're still allowed fruit and veg and the cals aren't too restricted and you want to try something new then I don't see there's any problems in trying it out!

Calorie counting for me as well. It doesn't cost a cent and I can eat anything I want. I fail if a diet is to restricted and doesn't let me eat nachos or ice cream. Plus, its something that you can easily do for the rest of your life.

I have been doing the Alternate Day Diet for almost 2 weeks. I've found it to be the least dietlike diet I have ever been on.

I cannot count calories - I simply cannot get that involved with it.

I have lost 5lbs in 2 weeks and am feeling good, in control and happy.
Intermiitent Fasting has some fascinating research and my fngers are firmly uncrossed - I suspect I won't need luck (unless I just jinxed myself )

Calorie counting and calorie cycling

Seems to work when I actually manage to keep to my limit

Hey there, just curious which products do you use as alternatives for Ideal Protein. Did you start with Ideal Protein products?

Hi there,

I try to stay away from the Word DIET- I think ive tried everyone in the world (almost) So I like to use Life Style Change Stop you from punishing yourself when you have some chocolate or something 'BAD' therefor when u do eat something YUMMY then you tend to eat just that one thing not loads of Tasty treats. Also, Stops People Saying Thought u were on a diet with that look! Plus its a long term weight loss its better for x
