Default Newbie wanting to join the group

I'd like to join the 30 something group.. Someone suggested that it was best to join a support group and it sounded like a great idea..

I'm just now starting my "once again weightloss" hoping to make this my final time at this and being more conscious about long term results then the short term. I'm 37 and dont want to join my 40's as fat and 40 but rather fit and forty..

Welcome! Since I am just a few months away from turning 40 I tend to hang around in both the 30-something and 40-something groups. But I was 37 when I started my process too, a little over two years ago. And I have never looked back.

I am a big banner-waver for taking the long-term view, so I think it's great that you are working on thinking about it that way. Starting now, instead of waiting until that psychological deadline of your 40th birthday is looming just a few months away, gives you the time it really takes to develop new habits and new attitudes.

Whatever plan you pick, stick to it like glue! If you slip-up or go off plan (and believe me, nearly all of us do sometimes), just get right back on the horse with the very next bite of food. If you are taking a longer-term view you will know that you don't need to be 100% flawless to have good results. You can be less than perfect and still lose weight in the long term.

Good luck and good strength! Don't be shy about asking for help and suggestions.

Thanks carter I have started making some changes - cutting out my sweet teas and my flavored coffee additives. that is this week, and trying to reduce the fast food I tend to go for when I'm busy and dont "have" time (I dont make time) to eat healthy So baby steps. and will be starting to work out at the gym towards the end of this month

You have done awesome with your goals (looking at your signature thing) GREAT JOB
