Allison-- my dh is giving up sweets for lent. He cracks me up because (like you), he won't give up what is really hard to give up (for him-- alcohol). Instead he gives up sweets (which I could never do), but he doesn't really have a sweet tooth. I'm wondering how that will be at my auction tomorrow because they are auctioning off cakes and desserts from well known local bakeries. In the past when I've been to auctions, the table will often buy a cake to share. I guess we could always take our portion home for dd.
I'll try to take a pic of myself in the dress. It is a pretty royal blue-- I was trying not to get black just because so many dresses are black. I'm bummed that we may not be able to dance though. Dh hurt his back and he is too stubborn to go to the doctor. He swears it is from doing Bikram Yoga with me-- of course-- it is my fault! He said he *might* go to the doctor tomorrow but I don't see him being able to dance by tomorrow night-- I'm just hoping he isn't hobbling around like an old man!
