Default ****January Fitness Challenge****

Hello ladies! This is something I really used to enjoy when I was back in the 20 something's forum. Basically the idea is well all create a post with our goals and a log for the month. Then you come back and update it daily with your hard work! It can be simple or detailed. Mine will follow as an example. I am a 'list' person and find a ton of motivation in updating my totals and putting it out there for the world to see! Maybe you will too!

Any way we can sticky this?

Great idea! I'm definitely in for this. I am going to power through January with gusto! In fact, I need to be under 200 by end of Jan..I am stalling...

Lose 8 pounds
Go to the gym 5 days a week
Drink 8 glasses of water a day
No chocolate or chips (this will be hard)

Good idea! The start of January is my offical start with getting back to weight loss (not a new years thing, just getting past the holidays), so this will be perfect for me. So...

January Goals:

ACTUALLY start, instead of the "good for 3 days then stop again" thing I've been doing
Lose 7 pounds
Drink only water / cut out the diet soda
Only have a treat if I have the calories left
Don't skip my fitness class unless I absolutly have to because of something else going on

I'm in!!

I've been sick for the last week with no end in sight, so starting in January I need to get back at my workouts HARD CORE! And clean up my eating.

For now, my goal is to do 3 HIIT workouts a week (including bodyweight exercises) and lift HEAVY weights 2 times a week!! As far as nutrition goes, I'll be eating when I'm HUNGRY and not eat from the office candy jar!!

cut down on breads and fattening foods

Cut down on the Soda

Jan 02:Jumping around and dancing like a complete loon while cleaning house for 2 hours... Not sure that actually counts though. :P
Jan 03: 30 minutes with the WII fitness plus I drank soda
Jan 04:30 minutes with the WII fitness plus
Jan 05: nothing
Jan 06: nothing
Jan 07: running around cleaning house/40 min with the WII
Jan 08:
Jan 09:
Jan 10: one day with soda to date, water intake good.. scale up 2lbs Totally failing.
Jan 11:
Jan 12: 20 min with the wii
Jan 13: 20 min with the wii two days in a row Im on a roll
Jan 14: only 11 minutes with the Wii all water intake at minimum or higher! and no soda not doing good on the fruits and veggies though
Jan 15: 20min with the WII.. I promise I will do more then 20 min somday

skate 3x week - DONE!
up water intake & cut out the decaf coffee/tea - DONE! Haven't had caffeine in a MONTH!!
Maintain my Food Diary for MRC - not sure how, but i've managed to do it AND keep up with it!

January's Workout Log:

Jan 01: 20min cardio - total water for day: 128oz
Jan 02: 2 hours skating - total water for day 140oz
Jan 03: 20 min cardio - total water for day 128oz
Jan 04: 45 min strength workout - total water - 128oz (WI - down 4lbs total)
Jan 05: 2 hours skating - total water intake - 140oz
Jan 06: total water for day - 128oz (WI - down 5lbs total)
Jan 07: (start Plan today) 20 min cardio - total water intake (twi) 128oz
Jan 08: 2hrs skate - twi 160oz
Jan 09: 2hrs skate - twi 160 oz

(have not had coffe/decaf/creamer in a over a week!)

Jan 10: jogged 2 mi / W/I down .5lbs
Jan 11: cardio 20 min
Jan 12: Skate 2 hr
Jan 13: none - tried to W/I but center was too busy
Jan 14: cardio 20 min

(TWO weeks with NO coffee/creamer!!)

This sounds like just what I need...

Eat 5 fruits or veggies a day
Exercise at least 30 minutes 5 days a week
Sleep 6-8 hours a night
Eat breakfast everyday
