Thanks for making me feel that I'm not alone in my laziness. I have little inclination to send Christmas cards either, but sadly I lost my mom over the summer, and I've had a couple of cards from longtime friends of hers who now live in different states so haven't heard, so I've been sending cards to them letting them know

I don't send out a huge number of cards, but I do spend a little time writing notes. I get the (bragging, ha) family newsletter, and some that are just signed that I'd love to hear more from, but I'm not peeved, more panged (not too serious, ha). I think it's nice to write a note, I do enjoy it though it can be a little tiring (and I have horrible hand writing to boot). Over time, I've let go of a lot of the "keeping a balance " mentality, and just try to enjoy giving what I give (and if someone doesn't seem to want to reciprocate, whether it's cards or gifts, I won't waste my energies).

It's an extremely busy time of year, and people have lots of restrictions, money, time, energy.

I'm working on create a holiday that makes me feel more joyous, and less burdened and stressed out.
