We'll be in New York for New Year, and then Vail, Colarado for skiing for a couple of weeks. I know that sounds active, and it is, but activity means a good appetite! I was there about 15yrs ago and remember loving a hearty lunch and some butter brandies after skiing etc. That's just not on this time. I know i have choices and can make good ones, but i guess i'm just worried about my resolve really!

RHay - that is a good idea. It's being really hungry and not eating until others are ready to do so that kills the resolve to make good choices for me - so some snacks like that would work well i reckon. Thanks!

My technique of saving myself the extra calories isn't the best to be honest. I tend to restrict myself on the highest level of eating, only consuming when necessary and continue to exercise.

I would love to indulge on snacks and unhealthy foods, but I can't bring myself to risk those foods. I've been told constantly that my way of eating is bad and that I'm restricting myself way too much.

Maybe I should start listening to them and just let myself go a bit. Yet I don't feel like exercising a whole lot for this holiday season.

I don't really care for sweets, so resisting has been pretty easy! I'm going to have some planned indulgences here and there though

You calorie count, right? In New York many of the chain restaurants have to have calorie counts on the menu. There are also many that have low-calorie options.
